29/05/2025: Unique emotion .. I paid “only” 14 euros for 4 granitas (1 almond / 2 lemon / 1 mint) I think they use the ice from the polar ice caps that cover both the Arctic and Antarctic poles. Or each lemon is followed from the flower to the harvest by specialized personnel.. Maybe the mint is watered with water from Lourdes ... They go and get the almonds on foot all the way to Bari ...

21/08/2025: The first courses were good, but the villa appetizer was disappointing: too basic for the price (ham, capocollo, pancetta, and a small omelette with a little ragù).

15/08/2025: I was there last Sunday, I liked the place and the food too, in fact I went back to confirm my opinion! I was there just today........and every cloud has a silver lining......everything was terrible.....we arrived at 2:00 PM and they served our appetizer at 3:20 PM, shall we move on to the main course? Trio of grilled steak and sliced ​​Angus beef 🤣🤣🤣and here I laugh, it was served at 5:10 PM, but why did I make a mess.....the waitress justified herself by telling me I was late, that it was August 15th and that it was her first day of work! I let it go and asked for dessert and the 🍉 listed on the menu.....a tiramisu: two crunchy ladyfingers with cream and chocolate powder! The thing that most outraged me was the price of the fixed menu, €50 per person. It wasn't worth it... mostly, they offered me Angus (which wasn't Angus, but a nice piece of fat), they asked me how it was cooked, and in the end, on top of the €50 menu, I found myself with a €5 surcharge for medium-cooked food! 🤣🤣🤣! I'm not picky, nor do I care about money, but is that even possible? Justifying themselves and saying they had problems in the kitchen was out of place! Anyway, I left because the table next to mine hadn't even served the second course... it was only 5:30 PM! What can I say... never again on August 15th... and not only that!

02/09/2025: We stopped there, ordered alcohol, they didn't even bring us a snack, evidently there is a surcharge because if you don't specify it you get nothing, average price... Very nice place and nicely decorated.

20/10/2025: As an adult, you're forced to order the full menu and aren't allowed to choose individually. The kids' menu is also only for children and adults aren't allowed to order it. You can only order large bottles because there are no small bottles available! When we said we didn't want to order the full menu and left after ordering drinks, the owner came over and gave us a menu where you could order individual dishes without ordering the full menu, which I thought was good. We weren't the only guests who complained!

22/12/2025: I've become a regular customer at this restaurant. I can assure you that you can taste the freshness of the ingredients in every dish you eat. My favorite thing is the meat displayed in full view of the customers, and as a regular customer, I can confirm that the meat is of superior quality. Antonio's cooking is excellent. The menu is extensive, and the dishes are plentiful and very tasty. I really like the buffet they offer us every day, with fresh local products accompanied by a variety of generous and, above all, tasty side dishes that we can help ourselves. The quality/price ratio is excellent. I feel at home every time. Paola, Antonio, Giuseppe, and the entire staff are truly knowledgeable, and most importantly, it feels like home. This is a historic restaurant in Mercogliano, and in my opinion, it remains the best restaurant.

14/01/2026: If you order pan pizza, upon delivery, check to see if it was made especially for you. Twice, they've clearly turned over the pieces they had on the counter.

18/10/2025: I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. There's no parking, so you have to leave your car in a small dirt lot about 100 meters from the restaurant. The restaurant is nice, but with traditional local cuisine, it's a far cry from the norm. The potatoes and porcini mushrooms were just potatoes flavored with porcini mushrooms, and the soufflé with caciocavallo and caramelized onions was very sweet—in fact, it was a bit disgusting, and it was cold, to boot. The cured meats and cheese platter wasn't bad, though it was a shame they only had two types. But the sore point was the meat in sauce with the meatball! Everything was lukewarm, and the meat was crispy, not cooked at all. All of these comments were made to the waitress, who agreed with me, and the chef knew about it too! You can't just send a dish like that to the table. The prices were very high for what we ate: for two, five appetizers that we shared, no first course, no second course, no wine, just water—almost 70 euros! I'm sorry to write this review, but I hope it helps you improve.

10/11/2025: The atmosphere is absolutely welcoming, and the people are all incredibly kind. When you walk in, you'll want to buy everything. We even decided to have lunch there, and we were absolutely satisfied. Quality products and absolutely fair prices. Congratulations, you guys are a great place. Keep it up!

02/11/2025: Beware of the young saleswoman. She tried to overcharge us by pressing down on the scale to weigh sausages that were already priced! I took a pork sausage and a wild boar sausage and gave them to her. I saw her put them on the scale and casually rest her hand on them in the corner. At first, I thought, "She doesn't understand anything. She doesn't know how to do this." I could see that there was no fixed price she was getting, obviously, and then she came out with an astronomical price of €44 for the two sausages! I said, "Oh no, at that price, of course I'm not buying them!" We put them back in the basket. I grabbed two more from the side and realized that the prices were already fixed on each sausage, which had already been weighed! They were already €11 and €13, which is an astronomical price for the size of these sausages, which, to make matters worse, weren't even local! Too fatty, too salty, and not made in the valley! So, a double rip-off. In short, beware, it's a tourist trap!!! And the saleswoman clearly thinks you're an idiot... I don't recommend this place. You'll find better, cheaper, and more honest options elsewhere...

04/01/2026: I stayed for one night on December 19, 2025 with a family of 4. I must say that we were welcomed very well by Mr. Enrico. He showed us the room and found it already warm. The place is enchanting. In the bathroom we found everything we needed as well as in the room. Breakfast was with warm croissants and the rest was a standard breakfast. The payment is within the three-star prices, in fact a little less, I paid only 85 euros. After all, we were just looking to sleep one night and certainly didn't expect a 5-star hotel. 01/01/2026: We stayed on New Year's Eve. The property is beautiful, with good potential but not fully exploited. The prices are good. The bathrooms, especially the showers, need updating. The bed is quite comfortable. The breakfast is poor. Parking is good. It could do much better.
