29/08/2025: Experience on 28 August 2025, 8:00pm. We went to this restaurant and we were fortunate enough to have a table. It was quite busy and also quite loud. The food was good, albeit the waiting time was quite long. We found it quite odd that the bread was served in a paper and not in a basket. All of this waa not a concern to me. However, I have found it extremely weird that the manager/waiter asked me for a tip. I initially declined, but gave a tip anyway to avoid any issue with him. Part of me thinks that once he figured out I am German, he spoke to me (in very good and fluent) German and pressed on me to give a tip for his younger colleague. Let me be clear that tipping is NOT customary in Italy. Sorrento being visited by many nationalities, particularly Americans, one might think that the customs in one’s home country apply in Italy as well. I would have liked to give more stars but judging from other people’s comments, I am feeling compelled to raise concerns on this restaurant as well.

27/08/2025: This was by far our favorite dining experience on our trip to Italy. The restaurant had a nice vibe with lots of different seating options. Everything we ordered was beyond incredible, the kind of meal where you are just in disbelief at how food can taste so wonderful. The staff were very very friendly and happy to accommodate our inability to speak in Italian very well. They were also very understanding when our card wasn’t working and allowed us to return to our hotel to get cash for them, which we really appreciated being out unprepared for an impromptu dinner. Manuel was mainly our server and he was amazing, although we had lovely interactions with many of the staff during our time before. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good food in Sorrento. Please please go try it!! Also note - as tourists we are warned to stay away from restaurants where staff are standing outside prompting you to eat there. We noticed while we were there that staff were sometimes outside greeting people walking by and saw a few other tourists turn away when this happened. I think they are just very friendly and happy to chat when they are not busy. Do not let this deter you from eating here, you will miss out on the best ever food!

30/08/2025: A great place to eat in Capri! While passing through for the day, we decided to have lunch at this restaurant located near the port. The welcome was warm and the prices affordable. We opted for the omelets with fries: they were delicious, fresh, and well-prepared. That said, the plate lacked a little generosity; we thought the dish could have been better served. Despite this, we recommend this place for a pleasant break.

28/08/2025: Food is really bad for the price, for 17€ egg breakfast you get one egg. Pasta is really plain. Table is at a really bad place. Plus I got screamed at by a cleaner for not drying my hands enough.

18/06/2025: It was really warm (air con maybe not working?) and there wasn’t a single Italian except cooking. The cooks were great and not easy with open kitchen and food was very good. The server made excellent wine recommendation, however served it after food arrived. Just a pet peeve. Lots of extras we appreciated and great pasta, but just didn’t feel authentic and super hot and sweaty

11/06/2025: Pasta genovese very tasty! But everything came quickly one after the other. Adjusting the 4-course menu was easy to serve a pasta with tomato sauce. I think the chefs have a bit more inspiration to prepare something. Dessert was simply placed in front of you in a metal box with some pastries. We ordered a tiramisu which costs €15 This was unfortunately time to go We were not asked for coffee or a liqueur. Also strange that the waiter tasted our wine halfway through that it had already been poured to finish it and that we could not stay a bit longer. It attracted us to you of friends. But this did not convince us to come back. Too bad

25/08/2025: The food isn't great, but it's delicious. When I go there, there's never anything left on my plate. The service is excellent. A well-deserved 5 stars.

21/08/2025: We were there for a family birthday party. The dishes were excellent and well-prepared! The waiters were knowledgeable and friendly! The food was high quality and the atmosphere was well-kept! Quiet and pleasant.

07/08/2025: This place was truly a pleasant discovery. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was excellent. We had a meat-based appetizer, and everything was delicious and fresh, but the Genovese was a true delight. Highly recommended.

28/07/2025: The place for real gelato. There's always a line to get it, and the staff is always incredibly helpful and kind. I've tried over 10 flavors of gelato, and they're all delicious. Highly recommended 😊

20/07/2025: Excellent gelato, unfriendly (not to mention rude) staff, small portions. When someone goes to eat gelato, they treat themselves to a treat; it's a moment of joy... and finding the staff removing the excess gelato from the cup as they portion it out is heart-warming. Mennella's cups contain 30-40% more gelato for the same price.

04/08/2025: What a sweet spot! We stopped by on a Monday at 10:00 pm and sat for awhile outside amongst families and couples enjoying the light breeze and warm evening. The staff were very welcoming with generous nibbles. The olives were fantastic! Solid beer selection on tap or in bottles and a full bar is available.

18/07/2025: My first night in Naples. I saw a review saying that someone needed the bathroom and the owners were nice about it. I also needed the bathroom 😂. They were very accommodating. As a beer fan, I saw that they had an IPA on tap. It has been the best beer I have had in Europe. And only 6€. Amazing! I will now be back. Do yourself a favour. The owners/staff are lovely.

16/08/2025: Today, Saturday, August 16th, I went to this establishment for lunch with my partner, and I can say that everything was exactly what I expected. The place is beautiful and well-kept, the welcome and service were superb, and the meat was sublime!!! I can't even begin to imagine how beautiful and comfortable the B&B rooms are... I highly recommend it to everyone!!!

14/09/2025: I don't understand the bad reviews. Sure, it's annoying when there's no response via email, but then I just try something else. Via WhatsApp, for example ;-). The site is in a really good location; we spent six nights there and ate in their restaurant three times. It was delicious. Breakfast is always there too. Giovanni is a very pleasant, relaxed guy. He gives tips if you ask. The sea is within walking distance. As for the space on site... Small but OK. That wasn't a problem for us. Dust... that's just how it is when it's windy and summer is over. We can recommend the site. It was clean and there's a washing machine for €4.

13/09/2025: Great camping place, close to the beach with clean facilities and very helpful staff. Giovanni is just the sweetest host and super helpful with whatever inquiry you might have.

05/08/2025: I went to Donato il Macellaio last night with my dad and two friends, and we enjoyed the food. The service and atmosphere were wonderful. I'm writing this review, however, to warn anyone reading this not to park in the alley next to the restaurant. As soon as we left, we got back to the car and noticed that it had been broken into and everything inside had been stolen. A perfect evening, but a very bittersweet ending.

10/07/2025: Discovered by chance on social media, I have to say it was a pleasant experience. The dining room was meticulously maintained, rivaling that of Michelin-starred restaurants. The staff were very friendly, and the owner was attentive to the dining room management and always available. The food was excellent and beautifully cooked. We ordered excellent patanegra, poached egg, ravioli, entrecote, tagliata, ribs, and a burger. The prices are fair for the quality of the ingredients and the overall service. It will definitely be our go-to place for meat in Salerno. I'm not giving it five stars because, in my opinion, in Salerno, you should use Cilento EVO oil, not Apulian EVO oil, which, incidentally, vaguely resembled Pisciottano EVO oil.

24/08/2025: We were here at this osteria to celebrate my parents' 50th anniversary. One summer evening, outdoors in a very welcoming and simple atmosphere, we immediately felt at ease, thanks to the kindness of the owner, who toasted us at the table with the inevitable Percoca wine 🙏, but also to the friendly and attentive staff. Appetizer, main course, fruit, and dessert, with samples of pizza and focaccia in between, all unparalleled in quality and, above all, very fair prices. If you're passing through, stop by Qi 😅. Beyond the good food and the jokes, what struck me most were the chats with the owner, "Ciccio" as he calls his friends. I guarantee that after talking to him, you'll go home feeling enriched and truly a person who takes life to heart, as we say... Sap campa'.
