Mare e Monti farmhouse

28/12/2025: Mare e Monti is one of those locations that I will never forget in my lifetime. My new wife and I visited here for our honeymoon for a 4-day trip. We were greeted by Silvio and his brother Pasquale, who took up our luggage and greeted us with house wine.
The next 3 days included eating amazing farm-fresh food, walking in the mountain town, traveling down to the coast, meeting kind people, and having the best days of our life.
The rooms are cozy, the food is delicious, the wine is crisp, and the people are spectacular. This is a MUST STAY location if you are in the area, and I will recommend it to ANYONE who is willing to stay 40 minutes away from the coastline.
07/11/2025: End of the season stay and we were pleasantly surprised about our warm welcome by Silvio and Anna. Our upper room had beautiful views off the balcony. Best food of our trip quantity and quality. Anna is a great cook and Silvio made us very welcome. Belvedere view in walking distance and path of the gods a short bus trip. We stayed in town and wandered around the park and the village as it was our rest days.

11/02/2026: Mame Ostrichina was a truly memorable experience. There’s a surprise waiting downstairs — the lower floor is beautifully designed, clearly curated with taste and intention. The atmosphere feels refined and intimate, and the art gallery element adds an unexpected cultural touch.
The variety, ingenuity, and presentation of the dishes were impressive — but most importantly, the flavors were exceptional. Every course felt balanced and thoughtful. The wine selection is also outstanding, with excellent pairings that complement the menu perfectly.
You may come to Naples for the pizza, but this is a true hidden gem for anyone who enjoys sushi or simply needs a refined break from the heavier local cuisine.
Highly recommended.

Visited this lovely ristoranti on New Year's day.
Our host gave us a set menu complete with water and local wine, explaining each dish in excellent English.
The food was beautifully cooked and presented, local wine delicious.

18/03/2026: Located on Via Foria, just steps from the Botanical Gardens. A small restaurant with outdoor dining options, including a covered terrace that's heated in the winter.
The hospitality and friendliness are top-notch, and the dishes are truly traditional, divinely cooked.
For those who love tripe, this is the perfect place, as they prepare it in a variety of ways.
I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. The quality and abundance of the various dishes make you forget you're sitting in a cramped, cramped space. The courtesy and kindness of the owner and his staff make you feel right at home.

15/02/2026: We spent our Valentine's Day yesterday, a fabulous location, excellent food, abundant and above all exquisite dishes, attention to the smallest details, the staff was kind and attentive to satisfy all requests and above all a round of applause to the chef Ciro Cerqua who with his professionalism and above all humanity involves everyone. I highly recommend this restaurant for spending any type of event and satisfying every desire.

17/02/2026: I chose this place by chance, having missed Portici for several years. We were a group of 10 and enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients and the variety of dishes, as well as the excellent value. We ordered 10 different dishes and ate together.
The wine list was excellent, and the fish was very fresh.
The desserts were delicious. The price was fair for the dishes and the ingredients. It's fair to have micro-filtered water and charge a reasonable price.
A restaurant I will definitely choose next time I return to my hometown.
The owner was friendly, professional, and polite.
I spent three days in my hometown, and three nights I dined out with friends, and of all three places I visited, this one ranks high.

We ordered the Ragu and it tasted amazing, and the bread with olive oil was a great touch. Also recommended local wine and was very tasty (my first ever red wine). We've came from Scotland and wanted to find a nice, local small Italian restaurant and did not disappoint. Would highly recommend to all. Grazie!
