18/05/2025: We booked for 2, and we took 1 water, 2 bufaline for €13 each (a margherita with buffalo mozzarella), a plate of chips and a slice of cheesecake. We paid €50.50, the service charge on the menu was €2.50 per person, on the receipt €3. We had asked for a cheesecake with berries and it arrived with black cherries. We promptly told the waitress, they brought back the exact same cheesecake moving the 3 black cherries to make it different and covered it in icing sugar to disguise it, but we turned a blind eye to this. The most “annoying” thing was that when the waitress asked if we wanted a normal or large portion of chips, we repeatedly said that we wanted it normal and instead in the end on the receipt we saw a good €3 more with the wording “large”. So at the cashier we explicitly said that the only thing we didn't agree with was this extra €3 (it wasn't about the €3 but about the lack of listening during the service). The gentleman at the cashier, without deigning to say a word, gave us a "discount" of €2.50, almost as if he was doing us a favor. We've always had a good time at Mamas but I don't know if I'd go back today.

18/05/2025: Oh oh oh what a bad slip up for tonight's pizza. I've been going to Mamas for decades and eating their delicious pizzas, but the margherita served to me this evening is practically the pizza from the oven in the morning. Bland, with industrial mozzarella, acidic sauce. Dry dough and evidently not the usual. Poorly rolled out and without a crust. Nothing to do with the usual Mamas pizza. And do we want to talk about the mixed fried food? It has so much oil that it's soft and inedible. I hope it's a one-night oversight or really if the pizza isn't the same as before we'll have to consider another place. I'm sorry.

24/05/2025: Suggestive restaurant on the seafront with a large terrace overlooking the strait and a splendid view of Sicily. The place is sober and well furnished. The fish is very fresh and the wine list is also excellent. We started with a rich appetizer of seafood crudites with shellfish, tartare, oysters. Followed by a trio of swordfish, tuna, octopus rolls. Good choice of desserts, but we stuck to the traditional Pizzo truffle. The very kind and professional waiter who looked after us throughout the evening recommended a bottle of local white wine, very fragrant and fruity. Furthermore, in addition to having shown us the various courses, he also let us taste two delicious bitters, also from Reggio. We spent a lovely evening and the price is also excellent (110€ for two). The only flaw was the carelessness of the waiter who took the order (different from the one who served us) who literally ignored us even though he had seen us and took the order of another large table that had arrived much later than us. However, apart from this inconvenience, we will return.

20/05/2025: Nice seafood restaurant located on the sea, with an outdoor terrace and an internal room entirely made of glass. Excellent dishes and excellent wines. The service is good, even if a little uneven; we were served by two waiters: one very attentive and professional, the other a little less so (he needs to do a little)

25/05/2025: Locale bellissimo, Ho festeggiato la comunione di mio figlio, Pesti abbondanti e molto gustosi con tanta varietà di antipasti di primi e di carne, adatto anche per celiaci noi tra amici e parenti ne avevamo 6 e sono rimasti molto soddisfatti, proprietario molto cortese e prezzi accessibili. Io torneró sicuramente. Grazie di tutto!!

20/05/2025: I chose to come to this restaurant because I missed Brazilian food (I was in Brazil in 2019) and I must say it did not disappoint. While I was eating, many good memories of my stay there came back to my mind. The food was all good, plentiful, tasty. The staff was very kind and the price was normal, absolutely adequate for the quality and quantity. I will definitely be back!

13/05/2025: I went to dinner a couple of nights ago with two other people at this place on the seafront of Bagnara Calabra. What can I say? All the seafood dishes we ate... appetizer, first course and second course were absolutely exquisite. 5 stars deserved

05/05/2025: High quality restaurant. High quality raw fish, indisputable first courses as well as the fish second course. The bill was also appreciated, in line with expectations. We will definitely return and long live Calabria that knows how to do catering

30/04/2025: I stopped by for dessert, although I also missed a portion of chips and a beer... (I'll be back for the sandwich) I recommend the beermisu to everyone!!!

03/06/2025: I was there on Sunday evening and I will return again tonight. Welcoming atmosphere, delicious pizza with high quality ingredients and impeccable service. I forgot the fantastic desserts, especially the Tiramisu. The Romeo family is a guarantee.

30/12/2024: Abito a Como, grazie ad una carissima amica e collega ho avuto il piacere di assaggiare i panettoni di Lombardi. Ho sempre comprato panettoni artigianali al nord , pasticcerie, fornai artigianali etc....povera me" quanto" sono stata limitata... Non ho parole per esprimere la cura, la scelta, la maestria della saggia mano che ha messo sulla mia tavola natalizia, non un panettone artigianale, ma bensì una vera COCCOLA culinaria Grazie infinite a chi non rinuncia a creare un' emozione.... 06/12/2024: Ci tengo a fare una seconda recensione,ma questa volta in merito al Pan Borrello, dolce natalizio che chiamare panettone è riduttivo. Avrei voluto tenerlo per le feste, ma ho fatto l'errore di aprirlo per vederlo e nel giro di 15 minuti io e la mia famiglia lo abbiamo finito, tanto che non sono nemmeno riuscita a fare una foto al dolce. Davvero ottimo, equilibrato nei sapori di agrumi, morbido e delizioso. Direi il miglior panettone mai mangiato. Consiglio assolutamente.

28/12/2024: We are currently on holiday at the Jonio Blu campsite in Bianco and ordered from Grillo's today. That was a very good decision. The food is great and everything was delicious. The delivery to the campsite worked great. We simply picked up the order at the entrance. We will definitely order here again and also have breakfast once. We have never had better food here in Italy.

15/05/2025: In Locri Italy for one night and got a recommendation from our hotelier for good food within walking distance. We split (uno per due) a primi, secondi, contorno and dolci. The primi was gnocchi with cheese sauce and pesto and just outstanding. The secondi was the beef steak and fried potatoes - the best beef since Termoli. Two excellent steaks in one week in southern Italy. For dessert fresh strawberries so good. The service was exceptional; all were so friendly and helpful. If we were to stay another night or two in Locri we would eat there again for sure.
