04/07/2025: A beautiful family-run restaurant with over 70 years of history! We had a wonderful experience at Scilla — it was our first time, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Giuseppe, the son of the family business, served us with such kindness and professionalism. Five-star service all the way! The restaurant is very kid-friendly, and everything on the menu is delicious, especially the filetto allo scoglio, which we highly recommend. Thank you for the amazing experience!

03/07/2025: Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The food was poorly seasoned, and the fish was completely dry. It was the worst meal we've had in two weeks in Calabria. We prefer al dente, but the pasta from the primo was almost raw and barely chewable. The service was friendly. However, my husband had barely put down his fork and I was still eating when the plate was taken away.

05/08/2025: Excellent cuts of meat, well-cooked, a delight for the palate! Kudos to the sommelier who offers a niche selection of top-quality Calabrian wines.

27/07/2025: This is probably the first time I've written a negative review. Usually, when I'm not happy with a place, I prefer to let it slide... But this was a huge disappointment. I ate there a couple of years ago and returned yesterday with a guest, raving about its quality. I prefer to gloss over the details; suffice it to say that I had to apologize to my guest for making a terrible impression. I'm sincerely disappointed; I won't be returning.

05/06/2025: I came to this restaurant for the first time! I was simply shocked by how tasty the food was...and I have visited Italy over 20 times but this restaurant impressed me the most!

02/06/2025: Today, just by chance, we went to this restaurant and intrigued by the various reviews, we wanted to sit down. As soon as we entered, in full view of the beautiful vintage motorcycles on which they have made a cash register and bar counter... truly unique and welcoming as a location. The owner welcomed us and very kindly accompanied us to the table and pointed out and recommended various things on the menu. He immediately put us at ease. In the end we took some house appetizers that were truly complete with everything and here was a nice surprise, he offered us exceptional meatballs in sauce in addition to those that had already arrived with the appetizers. Then we continued with first courses that were very rich and full of flavor and it should be noted that it is all homemade stuff. Then to finish, even if we were already stuffed, we took some Picanha (it melted in the mouth) which came with a side of super good potatoes. You can choose from a vast variety of truly fine meats, in full view in the fridge for aging... I would have tried them all! We couldn't get the dessert because we were already bursting. In the end the bill was more than fair and I would definitely like to go back, also to try the pizza. My compliments go to all the staff! Zero waiting times, very fast, friendly and always available even though the place was packed. See you next time!

31/07/2025: The croissants are fabulous. I'm updating my review to say that even after returning here in the summer for years, it's still a great bar, always better, impeccable, and the staff is always courteous.

21/07/2025: Excellent! Both the granitas and gelato are excellent, and the cups are amazing, especially the jumbo. The staff is incredibly friendly and the service is fast! Kudos to you for the quality. You can see the jumbo cup in the video, but trust me, it doesn't do it justice. The only small flaw is that the place is a bit noisy inside, between the tables.

04/10/2024: arrivando a gerace, chiediamo a due signori un luogo dove poter mangiare un gelato artigianale, e subito ci viene consigliato il “bar dolce e salato” dove dicono che sia il miglior gelato di gerace, arriviamo al bar e il titolare molto simpatico ci fa assaggiare pistacchio salato e zafferano, gelato FAVOLOSO, penso sia uno dei migliori gelati che io abbia mai assaggiato, prezzo molto onesto due coni 5 euro, per l’altissima qualita del gelato è veramente un prezzo molto onesto, vi consiglio vivamente questo posto.

30/12/2024: Abito a Como, grazie ad una carissima amica e collega ho avuto il piacere di assaggiare i panettoni di Lombardi. Ho sempre comprato panettoni artigianali al nord , pasticcerie, fornai artigianali etc....povera me" quanto" sono stata limitata... Non ho parole per esprimere la cura, la scelta, la maestria della saggia mano che ha messo sulla mia tavola natalizia, non un panettone artigianale, ma bensì una vera COCCOLA culinaria Grazie infinite a chi non rinuncia a creare un' emozione.... 30/08/2025: We had a tagliata di torno with arugula, parmesan shavings, and caramelized onions... what can I say, one of the best things I've tasted in a while; not only was the lunch delicious, but the owner was also very kind. WE WILL BE BACK!

21/08/2025: We stumbled upon this trattoria for lunch by chance. We found the atmosphere welcoming and very pleasant; despite the small dining room, we had a truly relaxing lunch. The service was prompt and the food was truly delicious. Always trust the daily specials. You can't go wrong! The host was very helpful and friendly.
