We sampled the maltagliati with shrimp, clams, and zucchini: a fragrant, balanced dish rich in seafood. Next, came the amberjack with zucchini and the scent of orange; the freshest fish, perfectly cooked, and a combination of flavors that lingers in your memory. A special thanks also to Angela, kind and attentive, who made the evening even more enjoyable. A place where you feel welcomed right at home, with excellent cuisine and a warm, family atmosphere. 15/01/2026: A historic restaurant in the city where you can also enjoy top-notch rotisserie. The selection is vast, and despite the fact that it's always crowded, the wait is minimal thanks to the excellent organization. You'll realize the overall high quality when you digest the food perfectly and don't go home with the smell of fried food clinging to your clothes. Highly recommended.

09/01/2026: Nothing special. Arancini with ragù and minced meat can be seen under a microscope. They're no longer the usual arancini, they're even smaller.

25/09/2025: A real surprise just a few kilometers from my hometown (Cinquefrondi). Quality products, excellent service, a very youthful and well-kept place. Very fair prices, and what's more, the friendly staff. One evening I tried the restaurant, and another evening the pizza service... What can I say? I was truly satisfied.

30/08/2025: We celebrated our niece's wedding, the welcome was wonderful, the food was delicious and plentiful, the pizza was spectacular.

21/01/2026: We were at this restaurant on November 10th. The location was very welcoming and clean, with seating both inside and outside, overlooking the sea. The staff and waiters were both kind and friendly. The food was very fresh, the fish was placed in a boat. We had a tasting menu that included a sample of calamari with yogurt sauce and a cooked and raw appetizer including oysters, mantis shrimp, shrimp, octopus, stockfish salad, fried cuttlefish and cannulicchie. Then we went to the first course of the day, busiate with grouper, and finally a dessert, a Nutella cheesecake, and I must say the bill was fair. I think we will definitely be back.

The quality of the dishes is extraordinary: from the handmade macaroni to the expertly cooked lamb, each course reflects the tradition and love for Calabrian cuisine. The atmosphere is warm and familiar, perfect for those who want to experience a moment of authentic conviviality. The village of Cardeto lends a unique charm, making the dinner even more evocative. The service is impeccable: the staff is kind, attentive, and always smiling. The owner, Santo, manages to convey passion and hospitality, making you feel truly at home. 02/11/2025: This didn’t happen today, but on September 15th - I’m only writing now, when emotions have cooled down. Still, the experience was very disappointing. I completely understand the restaurant was full and we were willing to wait for a table. However, the waiter was extremely rude and arrogant, and refused to let my 6-year-old daughter use the toilet until we were seated. That’s basic human decency, especially when it concerns a small child. No matter how good the food might be, such an attitude is UNACCEPTABLE!

19/10/2025: This was one of the best meals we've had in Italy! The setting can't be beat - you're right over the water with a direct view of the castle, and the menu offers much more than pizza. The anitpasta seafood board was generously portioned and had a variety of tasty samplings. My wife had the roasted swordfish for dinner, and I had the swordfish panuozzo. Both were delicious in their own distinct way. We felt very welcome despite limited Italian language skills, and the price was very reasonable for such great quality food. We hope to return someday!

02/10/2025: Good food, and the staff were kind and helpful. The restaurant isn't bad; the 3 is due to its location on a main road, which naturally has its advantages and disadvantages. The restaurant's hallmark is its use of local produce and fresh fish caught in the sea off the town in the evening and served the same day. Depending on the luck of the fish, this can sometimes limit the selection, but not the freshness.

06/01/2026: This restaurant is located just steps from Gambarie's main square. The atmosphere is very quaint and welcoming on cold or snowy days, thanks also to the fireplace. Excellent selection of wines and delicious dishes, from appetizers to dessert. Recommended!

29/12/2025: We had a family lunch on Boxing Day. The atmosphere was welcoming and attentive. We ordered first and second courses. The pasta was very good, in my case with a delicious wild boar ragù. The meat dishes were also excellent, from lamb to stew to pork shank. We paired our meal with the organic Cirò wine recommended by the owner. The staff was courteous and friendly. We'll be back!
