10/08/2026: A pleasant surprise! We drove out of our hotel to grab a bite to eat at 3 PM and stumbled upon this bar. The atmosphere was warm and wonderful, and it reminded me nostalgically of certain places I'd eaten as a child. The sandwiches were fabulous, especially the Maradona sandwich. Honestly, I ate better there than at my 4-star hotel. The staff was attentive and friendly, and I recommend it to everyone, especially those like me who are staying at the Palahotel. It's just a stone's throw away, and the food is truly delicious. Excellent value for money; we spent around €20 for three generous sandwiches, two beers, two coffees, and an ice cream.

12/05/2026: For an anniversary, I had lunch at this splendid location, the Olimpo restaurant inside the Best Western hotel, located on the beautiful Catanzaro Lido seafront. The dining room is spacious, beautiful, and bright. The food was excellent, from appetizers to dessert. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. This is undoubtedly the ideal place for any occasion!

20/02/2026: The elegant and refined atmosphere is complemented by the courtesy and professionalism of the staff. Chef Vaccaro, the most gracious chef, offers delicious and creative dishes, from appetizers to desserts. Recommended.

16/03/2026: You're immediately welcomed into a welcoming, clean, and very pleasant atmosphere, with extremely helpful and friendly staff. There's also a quieter, more private area with a fireplace, creating a warmer, more inviting atmosphere. The pizzas are undoubtedly the best in the area; from traditional to more sophisticated, each one is better than the last. The restaurant dishes are also worth trying: delicious flavors with many local specialties, both meat and fish. Highly recommended.

21/12/2025: We often return to this restaurant in Tiriolo and it never disappoints. The lunch menu features exquisite meat and top-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is always pleasant and the service impeccable: kindness and professionalism make you feel at home. Highly recommended! 🍷🥩

05/08/2026: Nothing to complain about the food, but the management is chaotic. Perhaps because of the lack of staff, but we waited a long time. There's little coordination among the staff, so everyone tries to do everything, but the result is only confusion and a waste of time.

Special mention goes to the homemade pasta, the crispy fried foods, and the quality of the local products. You can truly taste the true flavor of Calabria! The staff is extremely kind, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. The atmosphere is fantastic; you immediately feel at home. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic local cuisine, excellent quality, and impeccable service. We'll definitely be back! 🍕🍝🍷

26/09/2025: If you're a student, definitely come here for lunch! Delicious food, always fresh, super-good pasta, and a varied menu with two first courses, two second courses, and two side dishes. Plus, they serve the best water in the world and fresh bread every day! Highly recommended!

25/09/2025: We were two couples and, upon arriving in Catanzaro, we found this restaurant almost by accident: a real discovery! The owner was extremely kind and gave us excellent recommendations. We enjoyed authentic, traditional Calabrian cuisine, with delicious and generous portions. The service was excellent, punctual, and always with a smile. The bill was also a pleasant surprise: only €26 per person for a quality dinner. Highly recommended!

16/05/2026: We ate really good food, the kitchen is run by elderly people who have a culture of food and quality products that are prepared almost by themselves. In short, we ate well, thanks for the advice, a hug.

10/05/2026: An unfortunate evening choosing this place that night. The service was pretty bad. It was difficult to get a waiters attention and when we did it was just a very unmotivated attitude. For example, we ordered a bottle of wine where the waiter first didn't seem to know their own wine menu and then eventually just plopped a bottle on the table. We had to check ourselves if it was still good and then pour for everyone, plus ask extra for a cooler for the bottle. And if you think they were busy that night, quite the opposite, as they were maybe one third occupied. The food also wasn't great, the starters were average at best, missing a lemon slice. I ordered the baked fish as my main. Potatoes over and undercooked at the same time somehow, the fish itself needed salt, but by the time a waiter reacted I was already done as the portion was pretty small. I also found bones, so don't trust them cleaning it for you table side. The only good thing I can say is that everything was fresh and my partner seemed to like the grilled mixed plate. They did comp us a few things at the end, but this was most likely because I was there with locals. Don't expect any such courtesy as a tourist.

We recommend relying on the helpful and kind staff and their meticulous care and attention to the raw ingredients. A special mention goes to the artisanal cured meats, the rice and eggplant chops, the homemade goat pasta, the magnificent raw fish, and all the dishes you are fortunate enough to encounter from time to time based on the kitchen's offerings. I'm sure you'll feel at home, and experience a great passion and love for the Calabrian region and nature.
