22/04/2026: We went this evening, we didn't know each other, we just happened to find each other. The owners were very kind and helpful. We ordered two Margherita pizzas, and they were truly delicious. While we waited, they offered us some homemade pasta roses with turnips and sausage. The pizzas were delicious and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back. Thank you, you're truly good people.

16/05/2026: Chiattini Bistrot was truly a wonderful discovery in Catanzaro's Corvo neighborhood, conveniently located between the seaside neighborhood and the historic center. We tried several types of crock pots and donuts and various sandwiches accompanied by fresh potatoes. What was immediately striking was the quality of the products: everything was artisanal, carefully prepared, and with truly excellent ingredients. The pulled pork meatballs were also noteworthy, and they were spectacular. The all-you-can-eat option is perfect because it allows you to try multiple items without spending too much, and it's ideal if you want to try a large portion of the menu. Excellent service: friendly, fast, and always helpful staff. The atmosphere is pleasant and the food is quality, definitely a place to return to.

We ordered the Apericena mari e monti (sea and mountain aperitif), where every bite (a generous amount, I'd say) was truly excellent, from fish to meat. It was accompanied by a gin and tonic, featuring a selection of gins and tonics that are not at all easy or predictable to find elsewhere—DELIGHTFUL. The background music and atmosphere of the place made you truly appreciate the moment. The icing on the cake? Valeria, who delighted us with impeccable and friendly service, truly makes all the difference for an evening of fun and relaxation. Thank you! We will definitely be back.

Safe and Sound is one of those places that doesn't just aim to "satisfy your hunger quickly," but to give you the feeling that someone has really thought about what you're eating. The atmosphere is modern, clean, and relaxing. The pace is right. And above all: you can sense a focus on quality without flaunting it. The dishes arrive balanced, beautifully plated, without heavy or redundant execution. Here, the focus is on clean flavors, clarity of ingredients, and an approach that respects what you eat without overdoing it. And this is a rare commodity at lunch. The service was one of the most convincing points: helpful, quick when needed, but also very accommodating to specific requests. This isn't a given at lunchtime, where many places cut back on attention to detail. If I had to point out room for improvement (for cognitive honesty, not destructive criticism): some dishes could be a little more daring in their aromatic layering. There's no need for radical changes, just that final "click" that makes a dish memorable even in the memory. Overall, Safe and Sound is a place well worth a lunch break in Catanzaro Lido: solid, clean, well-managed, with a contemporary identity. And with a little more attention to the fine sensory details... it could become one of those places you'd recommend without even having to argue.

04/09/2025: What can I say? While I was looking for a place to eat fish and chips because my partner is English, I stumbled upon this little gem. The place is delightful, the music is great, the food is delicious, and the food is truly beautifully presented. Mediterranean flavors revisited in an innovative way. A wonderful surprise. We come to Catanzaro every year, and we'll definitely be back; it'll be one of our favorite destinations. Thank you so much!

07/05/2026: UPDATE: I returned after about 3 years. The location is new and everything's been renovated, bigger and even nicer. The food was delicious. Since it was a quick lunch break from university, we opted for a generous appetizer without a main course. Everything was delicious and delicious. They were also very kind, knowing the limited time we had, to have everything ready for us! I'll definitely be back. OLD REVIEW FROM 3 YEARS AGO: Very nice place, recently renovated. I stopped here for a quick lunch break, and I enjoyed it. The staff is very kind and courteous. We didn't read the menu, but after looking at the daily menu, we ordered a risotto with speck and asparagus and a fruit salad to finish. Very good, but if I had to find a flaw, I found it a bit too salty, which led me to drink more water than usual.

10/04/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly excellent experience, well-deserved 5 stars! We went for lunch and decided to try a bit of everything: we started with their magnificent antipasto, which was impressive in both quantity and quality. A mix of typical Calabrian dishes, both hot and cold, truly filling and full of authentic flavors. This alone is worth the visit. Next, we had two first courses, both excellent: well-cooked, flavorful, and generously portioned, in perfect trattoria style. To finish, we shared a truly spectacular grilled meat: quality meat, cooked to perfection, and in more than satisfying quantities. A big plus is the service, truly excellent: fast, organized, and always available, even when the place was full. The atmosphere is new, spacious, and very well-kept. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and generous portions. We'll definitely be back, highly recommended!

17/03/2026: Beautiful place... Excellent meat, cooked perfectly and even to your liking. The staff is very friendly and kind... they welcomed us with a small canapé, which was delicious and much appreciated. We then ordered two appetizers and two main courses, accompanied by two glasses of wine. The pork ribs melted in your mouth, and the meat tea as an appetizer was fantastic. We didn't particularly like the dark chocolate pairing, but overall, everything was excellent! We'll be back for the Thursday menu featuring swordfish.
