19/04/2026: We relied on the reviews before going in. The owner, Antonio, is very professional, friendly, and the service is fast. We had a homemade appetizer and homemade gnocchi. Excellent. Paired with an excellent wine. I recommend it to anyone looking for a break from the ordinary.

17/08/2025: A must-see in Badolato. The atmosphere is youthful and casual, and you'll instantly fall in love! The service was impeccable, with special attention to the children's needs. The pita is fantastic, and the vegan options deserve a special mention! Well done, guys!

30/08/2025: It's a shame that if you don't give at least one star, the review won't be published; it deserves zero. Remembering a fairly good gelato in the area, we thought we were in for a treat. Surprise! The quality has dropped, or rather, has plummeted. The coffee is very pale and tasteless, the walnut is very watery white, and the flavor is undefined. The pistachio is very creamy and greasy. Furthermore, anyone who wanted cream was left wanting more. In short... let's change jobs!

08/10/2025: Dinner was an amazing experience. It was a set tasting menu. Antipasto consisted of at least 7 items, a variety from sea and land. The pasta and seafood secondo were delicious. The wine that was recommended was also delicious and paired well with the meal. The decor is so quaint. The restaurant is actually an old storage room "Catoja" where wine, cheese, salami, etc were stored before refrigerators. The tablecloths were hand crocheted. We requested local music and they were happy to oblige. It was my birthday and our server went to the trouble of putting a candle ony dessert.
We would not hesitate to return.

08/04/2026: I've eaten here many times, even on difficult days like holidays. The professionalism and organization of this small restaurant is incredible, as is its ability to efficiently handle so many guests, as is the kindness and helpfulness. The cuisine is excellent, very homemade. The ingredients are of the highest quality, from the always fresh salads to the cooked vegetables. The meatballs in tomato sauce and the pizzas are delicious. Kudos to the management. The prices are fair. I would gladly return. Although the cellar is cozy, it's limited.

There are things a person can be allergic to.
04/10/2025: An oasis of tranquility among the olive trees with a splendid view. Very spacious rooms with a sea-view terrace. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
For us, it was a starting point for trekking along the Basilian Way.

05/09/2025: La Cicchinella is a culinary experience not to be missed! I've been back twice, and each time was better than the last! The wine is fantastic, the platter is top-notch with mouth-watering cured meats! And the service? The guys are truly amazing, always ready to offer advice and make you feel at home. Even if it's just for a beer, this place is a must! I recommend everyone to try it, you won't regret it!
25/08/2025: We had an aperitif with platters of typical Calabrian products, accompanied by an excellent rosé wine. Fantastic location, welcoming, friendly, and professional staff. I highly recommend it.

07/04/2024: Trattoria tipica a base di stocco Badolato superiore centrale, diverse portate qualità discreta però lo stocco si vede poco, servizio insufficiente, prezzo leggermente al di sopra della media. Con pochi accorgimenti può migliorare di molto.
27/03/2024: Ho scelto un antipasto calabrese ben assortito e due assaggi di primo, ma il prezzo è stato esagerato ed ingiustificato. Peccato perché cortesia ed ambiente sono buoni.
