16/08/2026: Vacation in Catanzaro Lido: birthday dinner. We couldn't have chosen a better place...a fairytale location, a few tables with wooden chairs in a small square, all lit by a string of fairy lights. Extremely friendly staff, excellent food. The anchovy cutlets with burrata and Tropea onions were heavenly, the baked swordfish rolls with truly excellent vegetable caponata, and the Mediterranean-style baked swordfish au gratin on a superb eggplant cream. All washed down with an excellent white wine recommended by Giuseppe. What can I say: fresh ingredients cooked with such love and care that you can taste in every bite. Recommended? Absolutely. Excellent. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

08/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We chose Giardini del Novecento for our wedding, where my husband and his family could stay, and we were truly delighted with our choice. ❤️ From the planning stage, we found the staff to be extremely helpful, professional, and attentive to our needs. My husband, my in-laws, and the rest of the family had a wonderful time. The rooms were excellent and comfortable, the service was very professional, and the food at the restaurant was truly delicious. Everyone was delighted and spoke highly of the experience. A special thank you also goes to the catering service provided on the morning of the wedding, which was greatly appreciated and made such an important moment even more enjoyable. What pleased us most was the satisfaction of the entire family: when everyone tells you they had a great time, ate well, and were welcomed with professionalism and helpfulness, it means they've made the right choice. Thanks to the entire Giardini del Novecento team for their service, hospitality, and professionalism. We're so happy to have chosen you for such a special occasion! ❤️✨

09/07/2026: Very nice, classic-style venue with a large garden and parking. The staff was very friendly and professional. We had pizza, which was very good. They also serve grilled meat. I highly recommend it.

06/08/2026: Quality, professionalism, price a bit steep. The cover charge was €3 each. They served our bread in a cloth wrapper, clearly stained in several places with sauce. When my colleague noticed, he replaced it with another, unfortunately stained, wrapper. Perhaps it would be more practical to use disposable paper wrappers given the laundry service. In the small, bland risotto, I found a piece of plastic, I assume from the seafood bag. The Pizzo truffle seemed like an industrial product to me. The Contadi Castaldi Brut, a Franciacorta served by the glass, is one of the most classic, seen and revisited, and unfortunately it cost €8. The scallops were good. The owner boasted about the various photos with various celebrities displayed at the entrance, saying that's normal considering the food is good. If he says so... I don't recommend it.

05/08/2026: The food wasn't great. Not restaurant-quality. Everything was very greasy. Afterward, I felt heavy and uncomfortable. The seafood was fresh, but not tasty. I think the problem was in the kitchen. The child's pasta arrived an hour after the adults had finished eating. They brought ice cream to one of us first, and then the oysters we'd ordered arrived.

25/08/2026: A truly interesting experience in a beautiful, elegant, and minimalist venue, meticulously crafted with attention to detail and furnishings, featuring a lovely outdoor garden and an open kitchen. The service is also excellent: formal yet pleasant, very attentive, with explanations of each dish and well-managed dining times. The cuisine is contemporary and refined. Among the dishes we tried, I particularly enjoyed the revisited parmigiana, truly fantastic in flavor, and the grilled sea bass, beautifully presented, with a smoky note that was evident yet balanced and never overpowering. The seafood risotto was less surprising, but still delicious. The option to choose between the tasting menu and a three-course menu is interesting. The latter, however, has a restriction that I found a bit unusual: the three dishes chosen must be the same for everyone at the table. In our case, we were able to reach an agreement easily, but it unnecessarily limits the freedom of choice. The wine selection is also good and extensive: we paired our dinner with a Kerner 2023. The aspect that I wasn't entirely impressed with was the price-to-quantity ratio. The portions are decidedly small, and even for this type of cuisine, considering the price tag of around €80 per person including wine, I would have expected a little more. Overall, Cura remains an interesting restaurant, with a decidedly above-average atmosphere and service, and a cuisine capable of producing some truly successful dishes. However, the quality-to-price ratio is the element that leaves me a little perplexed.

24/08/2026: ⭐ 1 star - hospitality begins at the door. Unfortunately, we can’t say anything about the food — we never even got that far. We simply asked at the entrance whether there was a table available for two. The response from the waiter (with the glasses) was so unnecessarily rude and condescending that we were genuinely taken aback. Of course, we completely understand if a restaurant is fully booked or doesn’t accept walk-ins. A simple and polite “I’m sorry, we’re fully booked” would have been absolutely fine. What we experienced, however, made us feel unwelcome before we had even stepped inside. So we decided to leave immediately. What makes this experience particularly disappointing is that we are living in an increasingly global and multicultural world. People travel, live and work across borders, and restaurants welcome guests from all kinds of countries and cultures every day. Hospitality should mean exactly that: welcoming people. Different languages, nationalities or backgrounds should never be a reason to treat someone with less respect. A restaurant doesn’t have to accommodate every guest — but every guest deserves to be treated with basic courtesy and dignity. It is a real shame that this seemed to be missing here. Because hospitality doesn’t begin when the food reaches the table. It begins at the door.

The waiter wearing glasses responded in such an unnecessarily rude and condescending manner that we were honestly taken aback. We completely understand if a restaurant is fully booked or unable to accommodate walk-in guests. A simple and polite “Unfortunately, we’re fully booked” would have been absolutely fine. However, the way we were spoken to was completely unacceptable. We left immediately. Rarely have we felt so unwelcome at a restaurant before even stepping inside. It is very disappointing that, based on our experience, foreign guests do not seem to be particularly welcome at this restaurant. In an increasingly global and multicultural world, a little openness and respect towards people from different countries and cultures should really go without saying. A real shame – hospitality starts long before the food reaches the table.
