10/11/2025: What can I say, starting with the warm welcome from the owner, who seated us in a very convivial area of ​​the restaurant. The waiter was very attentive and present throughout the service. The dishes were excellent in their simplicity, although their cooking required some expertise. Excellent quality meat, with a lovely dessert to finish. And as if there were no shortage of liqueurs and spirits, accompanied by a pleasant chat, we promised ourselves we'd see each other again. So, until next time, we had a wonderful time. .

04/11/2025: On vacation in Calabria, in the first weeks of September, we decided to try this Trattoria, in the beautiful village of Bedolato. I called to make a reservation and, as the owner recommended, I agreed to dinner. The Trattoria is located on a street in the historic center. You can park in the main square and after a few meters you reach the building that houses the restaurant, set in rooms with characteristic barrel vaults, which, like the furnishings, make you understand that you are in a Trattoria that has made authenticity and local tradition its trademark. The manager who served us on this occasion was helpful, friendly, and never intrusive or over the top. After describing the menu of dishes made with genuine ingredients, as well as the good house red wine, we settled on a Calabrian-style appetizer, excellent and varied, followed by two tagliatelle with mushrooms, delicious and where you could really taste the mushrooms, followed by a stuffed eggplant dish and a lamb dish, and second courses topped with delicious and flavorful green beans. Water, good house wine, and finally a truly delicious Limoncello. We were more than satisfied with the price/quality ratio, and I can only highly recommend it if you're in Bedolato Borgo or are in the vicinity. It's worth a visit.

27/10/2025: After exploring Badolato, we stopped at Trattoria Tipica La Botte, where we were treated to homemade specialties: pasta (Tagliatelle), gnocchi, and melanzane ripiene. Everything tasted delicious. We recommend it.

09/11/2025: If I could, I wouldn't give it any stars. Having read the reviews, we went there to try these "Fantastic" dishes…!!!??????? You really have to want to go up to Falerna village, but we thought it was worth it for a good meal. Date: October 4th: Huge disappointment!!! Nothing was good, the tripe was disgusting, defrosted, reheated, overheated, with a long hair in the dish. 😱🤮 I felt like throwing up 🤮 My appetite was completely ruined! The three kinds of meatballs, eggplant, and rice were all bland. The rest of the dishes were the same, inedible! This isn't typical Calabrian cuisine! It's the worst restaurant in all of Lamezia Terme!!! Avoid it at all costs….

08/06/2025: I can't review the food or the service.... But about the environment I can say that rudeness and unavailability are their strong point. They almost didn't let us enter the place (at 9 pm!) because when we arrived, they "were too busy"... Something I've never heard of, but there were only a couple of people in front of us. It would have been much more elegant to say that there was a bit of a wait and at that point we would have chosen whether to stay or not. But you don't send customers away.

Flavors were bold yet delicate. The staff were very friendly and professional. The homemade dessert was exceptional. Highly recommended.

22/09/2025: I ordered from this place after seeing the photos online, which looked really inviting. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I had ordered a selection of focaccias specifically to try different types, but none of them convinced me: the flavors were all very bland and lacking in character. I was expecting bolder, richer flavors, but the result was rather bland. Honestly, it's not a place I'd return to.

Safe and Sound is one of those places that doesn't just aim to "satisfy your hunger quickly," but to give you the feeling that someone has really thought about what you're eating. The atmosphere is modern, clean, and relaxing. The pace is right. And above all: you can sense a focus on quality without flaunting it. The dishes arrive balanced, beautifully plated, without heavy or redundant execution. Here, the focus is on clean flavors, clarity of ingredients, and an approach that respects what you eat without overdoing it. And this is a rare commodity at lunch. The service was one of the most convincing points: helpful, quick when needed, but also very accommodating to specific requests. This isn't a given at lunchtime, where many places cut back on attention to detail. If I had to point out room for improvement (for cognitive honesty, not destructive criticism): some dishes could be a little more daring in their aromatic layering. There's no need for radical changes, just that final "click" that makes a dish memorable even in the memory. Overall, Safe and Sound is a place well worth a lunch break in Catanzaro Lido: solid, clean, well-managed, with a contemporary identity. And with a little more attention to the fine sensory details... it could become one of those places you'd recommend without even having to argue.

04/09/2025: What can I say? While I was looking for a place to eat fish and chips because my partner is English, I stumbled upon this little gem. The place is delightful, the music is great, the food is delicious, and the food is truly beautifully presented. Mediterranean flavors revisited in an innovative way. A wonderful surprise. We come to Catanzaro every year, and we'll definitely be back; it'll be one of our favorite destinations. Thank you so much!
