30/04/2026: The way they sell pizza is questionable. Prices displayed per 100g. That's fair enough. But then the bills are atypical. Today for lunch I had two pieces (one mushroom and one marinara). Relatively small. Accompanied by a Coke. €9.50!!! Obviously I didn't receive a receipt. Not from the scale, not from the bill. And partly out of haste, partly out of lack of nerve, I didn't ask for one right away.

09/04/2026: The perfect place to spend an evening pampered by excellent food, great drinks, a warm atmosphere, and service from those who know how to treat customers with genuine hospitality and warmth. We ordered the Apericena mari e monti (sea and mountain aperitif), where every bite (a generous amount, I'd say) was truly excellent, from fish to meat. It was accompanied by a gin and tonic, featuring a selection of gins and tonics that are not at all easy or predictable to find elsewhere—DELIGHTFUL. The background music and atmosphere of the place made you truly appreciate the moment. The icing on the cake? Valeria, who delighted us with impeccable and friendly service, truly makes all the difference for an evening of fun and relaxation. Thank you! We will definitely be back.

18/04/2026: I didn't want to leave a negative review of the restaurant, but I saw messages that reflected exactly what I wanted to say about my dinner experience there, and I decided to leave one anyway. So, to sum it up, I'll simply say that the pizza was barely adequate; the dough was awful, too floury and dry (perhaps due to the choice of a white pizza). The only redeeming feature was the good-quality toppings. The portion of fries was average, but very generous for the price. Excellent service, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I don't know if I'll be back anytime soon, but I'll definitely opt for the meat option next time.

Safe and Sound is one of those places that doesn't just aim to "satisfy your hunger quickly," but to give you the feeling that someone has really thought about what you're eating. The atmosphere is modern, clean, and relaxing. The pace is right. And above all: you can sense a focus on quality without flaunting it. The dishes arrive balanced, beautifully plated, without heavy or redundant execution. Here, the focus is on clean flavors, clarity of ingredients, and an approach that respects what you eat without overdoing it. And this is a rare commodity at lunch. The service was one of the most convincing points: helpful, quick when needed, but also very accommodating to specific requests. This isn't a given at lunchtime, where many places cut back on attention to detail. If I had to point out room for improvement (for cognitive honesty, not destructive criticism): some dishes could be a little more daring in their aromatic layering. There's no need for radical changes, just that final "click" that makes a dish memorable even in the memory. Overall, Safe and Sound is a place well worth a lunch break in Catanzaro Lido: solid, clean, well-managed, with a contemporary identity. And with a little more attention to the fine sensory details... it could become one of those places you'd recommend without even having to argue.

04/09/2025: What can I say? While I was looking for a place to eat fish and chips because my partner is English, I stumbled upon this little gem. The place is delightful, the music is great, the food is delicious, and the food is truly beautifully presented. Mediterranean flavors revisited in an innovative way. A wonderful surprise. We come to Catanzaro every year, and we'll definitely be back; it'll be one of our favorite destinations. Thank you so much!
