13/12/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant today. The welcome was perfect, and the owner was incredibly attentive. He pampered us by seating us in a more private and quiet room since we arrived with our sleeping baby. He then explained the menu and recommended dishes. We had a traditional appetizer, followed by onion soup and spaghetti with fish, followed by fried calamari and chips. Everything was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the owner's presence was a real pleasure. We're so happy to have discovered this highly recommended little place; we'll definitely be back.

09/10/2025: I stayed at the hotel for two nights with a friend and ate at the restaurant one evening. -The hotel is fantastic. It's in a fantastic location right in the heart of Tropea, and we were even lucky enough to have a small balcony overlooking the square. The breakfast was good, and the coffee was delicious. -The food was good. The enthusiastic owner gave us great recommendations for fresh food and treated us to local delicacies. 27/07/2025: I went to Free Poke and loved the interior: everything is Hawaiian-style, colorful and well-kept, truly beautiful. The staff was very friendly, especially one really nice lady, I think she was the owner. You can choose between medium and large poke, but some ingredients cost a small extra. I thought the medium poke would be a little more generous, as is often the case at other poke joints, but overall it was good. Both the white and black rice were cooked perfectly. All in all, a good dining experience 🌺🍚🥢

28/06/2026: I arrived in Cirò Marina with a very specific mission: to find an excellent rosé from an independent producer and to eat authentic sardella. Two goals, one trattoria. At Max's, I told the chef what I was looking for, and within minutes, he made my dreams a reality. The result was a bruschetta I'll never forget: figs, provola cheese, raw shrimp, sardella, and a little salad for balance. A simple idea on paper, but one that showcased what's not surprisingly called the "caviar of Calabria." It was one of those dishes that makes you smile at the first bite. I think I'd been waiting for a lunch like this since I was a child, without even realizing it. All accompanied by an excellent local rosé, expertly recommended and perfect for completing the experience. If you're passing through Cirò Marina with a desire to savor local products interpreted with intelligence and without unnecessary complications, Max's is definitely worth a visit. For once my food hunt ended quickly!

26/01/2026: A very welcoming place, an intimate atmosphere perfect for spending a lovely evening with friends or in good company. The cuisine is excellent, from appetizers to sandwiches. I highly recommend the high-quality craft beers, and there's also a wide variety to choose from. The service is professional and high-quality. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone who wants to try it.

13/08/2025: We ate better here than at the more popular places around Calabria. Any recommendations? We had excellent fish: mussels, linguine with mussels and clams, and fried calamari and small fish. The service was excellent and fast. The prices were more than fair. I highly recommend it!
