16/06/2026: In the heart of Cosenza, one of the few Calabrian restaurants I know that offers exceptional quality from every angle. A highly refined menu, expertly blending Tuscan elements with authentic Calabrian (Cosenza) traditions, for a simply breathtaking blend of flavors. All accompanied by a selection of top-quality wines and spirits, and exceptional service (let me tell you the funny story behind the restaurant's name). Homemade pasta topped with the best the region has to offer, top-quality ingredients, and modern combinations of classic elements from popular cuisines: an extraordinary experience, and a value for money that, for me (who lives in Milan), is simply unbelievable. It clearly doesn't market itself as a restaurant for tourists, and this is evident in the select clientele and the deliberately simple yet elegant ambiance. I'll try to return whenever I'm in Cosenza.

From the enviable cocktails (Gianmatteo's Negroni sbagliato will make you fall in love), to the excellent raw fish, to the selection of vinyl music. Whether you're looking for an unforgettable seafood dinner or a drink and a chat with the friendly staff, Moko makes you feel welcome. This is the place to be.

13/08/2025: We ate better here than at the more popular places around Calabria. Any recommendations? We had excellent fish: mussels, linguine with mussels and clams, and fried calamari and small fish. The service was excellent and fast. The prices were more than fair. I highly recommend it!

08/07/2026: We entered the place to go inside, and halfway through, I heard a guy behind me at the bar/cash register say, "No, but not with sand on your feet" (or something similar), which wasn't referring to us. As we sat down, they kind of invited us to get up because you can't come in wet (we weren't wet at all). Of course, we left... saying we had sand on our feet is fine, but if we really have to point out details, then we should definitely pretend to be waiters, who usually make unpleasant, almost sexually explicit jokes. For us, the impression is negative.

28/08/2025: Restaurant across from the Diamante train station. Colori, the waiter, was very helpful and friendly. Slow service, an hour between the appetizer and the main course, although we enjoyed the fresh fish when they arrived. Price is a bit high for being right across from the train station - five courses €130 (appetizer, two main courses, fried fish, wine, and water).

07/06/2026: My husband and I had dinner on Sunday evening. We shared an appetizer from the apothecary, which allowed us to try a bit of everything (cured meats, cheeses, meatballs, olives, and some really good beans!), then I ordered the dish of the day (pasta with snails and 'nduja), and he ordered the caserecce pasta with capocollo and fennel. Generous portions, both pastas were very flavorful and rich, with truly excellent ingredients. To finish, a fresh lemon sorbet. With a bottle of water and a quart of red wine to round it all out, we spent €45, definitely satisfied given the quality (and quantity) of the dishes. The various meat-based main courses also looked very interesting, given the high demand from other diners. We hope to have the opportunity to return soon to try them! The wait staff was kind and courteous, the atmosphere was unique and old-fashioned. Well done, keep it up!

08/05/2026: What a hidden gem. Everything was perfect. Waitress was very helpful and had no rush. Food was so tasteful. Room was very nicely decorated. And prices very reasonable. No Michelin bling, but honest hospitality and great food. Just what we was looking for. This was a great recommendation from our host.

27/07/2025: I went to Free Poke and loved the interior: everything is Hawaiian-style, colorful and well-kept, truly beautiful. The staff was very friendly, especially one really nice lady, I think she was the owner. You can choose between medium and large poke, but some ingredients cost a small extra. I thought the medium poke would be a little more generous, as is often the case at other poke joints, but overall it was good. Both the white and black rice were cooked perfectly. All in all, a good dining experience 🌺🍚🥢
