03/08/2026: We went for lunch after visiting the Catholic church without a reservation. The atmosphere was welcoming and clean. We ate well: the appetizers were plentiful and delicious, and the fried food was freshly prepared, hot, and dry. The wine was excellent, as was the first course: homemade pasta with goat sauce. Since there were two of us, the owner asked us if we wanted to sit with other travelers. I must admit, it was a great idea; it was a lunch with friendly people.

25/08/2025: Off the beaten path, you'll find authentic cuisine. Pizzeria Ristorante San Francesco offers just that: traditional Calabrian cuisine, as it should be. Following Google's info (thanks to reviewers), we found this place. There's no showy display designed to impress (the exterior doesn't attract tourists, but perhaps that's a good thing). But inside, the truth comes through: excellent ingredients will win you over. A few dishes, but enough to get to know the area, all homemade with home-grown vegetables (grown directly by the owners). The first courses are delicious, as are the appetizers, pizzas, and second courses. But even the wait before tasting excellent Fileja alla Norma or alla Calabrese is worth it. The flavor explodes in your mouth. Simple, yet genuine and sincere, flavors that are missing from the surrounding tourist restaurants. Added to this is a rare kindness and courtesy that make the dinner even more enjoyable and make you say: I'll be back again (which we did). If you have a car and want to experience the simplicity of Calabrian flavors, I recommend going there—it's really worth it. We've been back three times. Congratulations.

14/08/2026: One star because you can't give it zero. We arrived at 9:00 PM without a reservation. They told us they'd have a table in half an hour, and rightfully so, we waited without any pretensions. The half hour became an hour, but so far, everything was still acceptable and understandable. Once seated, we were left at the table for twenty minutes without even taking our drinks order. We managed to order at 10:20 PM, and having now figured out the situation, we decided to order meatballs as an appetizer, hoping to ease the wait, but we once again overestimated the poor service. After another hour or so of waiting, at 11:15 PM we received the meatballs and sandwiches in one dish. By then, the drinks had gotten warm. NEVER AGAIN!

04/05/2026: A lovely little place in the center of Cosenza. The ingredients are excellent, and the service is warm and friendly. I had their antipasto, which includes both hot and cold dishes. Everything was delicious. I really enjoyed the service; the hostess accommodated our requests, always kind and helpful. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a quiet, friendly hour.

20/04/2026: My sweetheart and I discovered this place by chance, and from that moment on, it became a true destination. The first time we chose a tasting menu of meat dishes accompanied by a white wine, "Il Bianco dei Vespa," which remains our favorite white wine to this day. We also met the owners there, wonderful people who immediately made us feel at ease. The memory was so positive that I decided to celebrate my graduation there as well. Since then, we've returned every time for a meal or even just a drink: it's now like home for us. My sweetheart is celiac, and we've never had any problems. In fact, if you let us know in advance, they're always happy to prepare special dishes, with great attention to detail. It's the perfect place when you want to relax, spend time with a few people, and enjoy a quiet evening with good food, excellent wine, and a chat. One of those places that stays in your memory and you'll always want to return!
