29/10/2025: I don't often write restaurant reviews, but we had the best meal of our holiday here – almost fine dining, and at very reasonable prices. The historic building is truly a gem among Scilla's already beautiful architecture, and dining on the airy terrace overlooking the sea is particularly lovely. But what really made the evening special was the incredibly warm and welcoming sommelier, who guided us through the evening with charm and humor and clearly knows his stuff – even if you only order a single wine by the glass! Thank you for a wonderful last evening in Calabria. We'll be back!

24/10/2025: On our walk through the beautiful Chianalea neighborhood, we discovered this restaurant. It can be a bit annoying to climb a long staircase to reach the wonderful terrace overlooking the sea, but the effort is worth it because the views from there are magnificent. The entire restaurant is tastefully decorated. This carefully curated setting helped us achieve a very high level of gastronomic pleasure. We found the swordfish steaks to be very well seasoned and full of flavor. The tomato and burrata salad was a perfect accompaniment. The tomatoes tasted real, which is hard to find. Pizzo's truffle was perfectly cooked: we thought it was delicious. We paired the meal with a very smooth Greco Calabrian white wine. Both the maitre d' and the rest of the staff were impeccable in their work.

31/10/2025: The sandwich of the month is excellent, the service is always prompt and available, the location is perhaps a little small and with too many tables but at the end of October it doesn't cause any inconvenience.

04/10/2025: A simple restaurant with excellent country-style cuisine. All the mushroom dishes were excellent (the porcini carpaccio was particularly good). It was a unique experience for us. It's a great base for hikes.

01/10/2025: Excellent food. Tasty dishes made with local ingredients (the mushrooms are excellent: the salad of ovule mushrooms and the lightly fried porcini mushrooms). Homemade tagliatelle with crumbled sausage, and a tasty, well-aged grilled meat. The wine list is varied, strictly Calabrian, and reasonably priced for its quality. The kitchen is open to the public, and the dining room is clean and tidy. Excellent service. We'd definitely return in good weather, especially for the stunning setting surrounding Mount Covello.

10/06/2025: My applause is deserved I had the pleasure of trying the "Pamela" sandwich and I must say that it was a real discovery, an explosion of fresh and balanced flavors. The combination of ingredients is simply winning: the delicacy of the bresaola marries perfectly with the strong character of the parmesan flakes, creating a delicious contrast. The tomato adds a note of freshness and juiciness, while the crushed green olives are the final touch that elevates everything, giving a savory and aromatic taste that conquers with every bite. It is a sandwich that I would define as delicious, fresh and incredibly tasty. Ideal for a light but satisfying lunch break. Between the smile of Mrs. Adelina and the delicacies designed and conceived by the very kind Pamela, my fleeting lunch break can only take place at their place.

16/09/2025: Delicious! We've been to many places, but we've never seen pizzas like these. And what's even better is that it's very affordable. Likewise, we've been to many places, but we've never seen such low prices.

06/11/2025: I managed to book after two months. We all arrived at the restaurant, and one of us was missing because he wasn't well. The result? They kindly sent us away without dinner, contenting themselves with leaving the table empty. You guys are great, you've won all the awards, except for the one for empathy.

03/11/2025: It's certainly not my opinion that determines Bob's value: the facts speak for themselves. You don't just come here to eat a well-made pizza... it's a ritual unlike any other pizzeria. Each course—from start to finish—is approached without cutlery, allowing direct contact with the food to be part of the experience. The flavor combinations are intelligently conceived and never lapse into banality. And after trying the new "New Side of the BOB" cheese offering, it's clear to me that the talent isn't limited to the traditional dough. I'll be back again, and I already know I'll never tire of coming back.

18/09/2025: Nice restaurant with good quality pasta, seafood and wine. Only thing it is a bit noisy because location near busy street. Host very friendly.

03/09/2025: Popped into L’Oasi 1993 and it was a great find. The brioche with gelato was spot on – soft, fresh and filled generously. We tried the babà, hazelnut and their Oasis flavour, and each one was delicious in its own way. The coffee was strong and really nice too, just how I like it. Simple, good, and worth a stop if you’re around.

14/10/2025: What a fantastic hotel – you feel warmly welcomed from the very first minute! The reception and greeting were very pleasant, and all the staff are extremely friendly and personable. A special highlight for me was the "Cena Calabrese," which takes place every Friday during the summer months – a typical Calabrian evening with music, dancing, and local food. The cake, personally presented by the hotel manager, was incredibly delicious! The nearby beaches with their crystal-clear waters are also a dream destination. I felt very comfortable and well looked after throughout my stay at the Calabrisella. Saying goodbye wasn't easy – I will definitely be back.

08/10/2025: Our family of 10 spent a memorable stay at Hotel Calabrisella in Capo Vaticano the week of September 22 to October 01. The resort is clean, the service is incredible, the rooms are kept spotless. The pool kept in excellent condition. Breakfast offers something for everyone in abundance. Being a second generation Calabrian living in Canada, Calabrisella Night brought back fond memories of my mom’s home cooked meals. That night they go above and beyond to replicate the true authenticity of the Calabrian cuisine and more importantly Calabrian hospitality which is second to none. The staff was always there for us any time of the day. A special thanks for Carlo and Rosa for taking time to make you feel special and wanted. No doubt a place we would return to without a doubt.
