09/07/2026: This is a family-run restaurant nestled in the greenery of the Rende countryside. The rustic atmosphere is in keeping with its description, a nod to its origins and tradition. The highlight is undoubtedly the food and the ingredients, all locally sourced. Typical local cuisine, generous portions. During my last visit, we ordered the rich and varied mixed antipasto, and the mixed grill of meat and French fries. The prices are fair. The well-kept animal pen and chicken coop in the back are a lovely sight.

03/05/2026: The most authentic experience in Calabria you will find. The agriturismo Ritorto is beautiful, they have their own food production and will put on the table most of their products. Starters were amazing, rich of flavours and tastes, pasta with goat meat was delicious as well as their liqueurs. Thank you for your great hospitality!

25/08/2025: Off the beaten path, you'll find authentic cuisine. Pizzeria Ristorante San Francesco offers just that: traditional Calabrian cuisine, as it should be. Following Google's info (thanks to reviewers), we found this place. There's no showy display designed to impress (the exterior doesn't attract tourists, but perhaps that's a good thing). But inside, the truth comes through: excellent ingredients will win you over. A few dishes, but enough to get to know the area, all homemade with home-grown vegetables (grown directly by the owners). The first courses are delicious, as are the appetizers, pizzas, and second courses. But even the wait before tasting excellent Fileja alla Norma or alla Calabrese is worth it. The flavor explodes in your mouth. Simple, yet genuine and sincere, flavors that are missing from the surrounding tourist restaurants. Added to this is a rare kindness and courtesy that make the dinner even more enjoyable and make you say: I'll be back again (which we did). If you have a car and want to experience the simplicity of Calabrian flavors, I recommend going there—it's really worth it. We've been back three times. Congratulations.

05/01/2026: Newly renovated restaurant. Very kind and friendly staff. Very crispy supplì, fried well and without oil. I highly recommend the lasagna one, but the corte d'assise and pumpkin ones weren't very creamy on the inside. The sandwiches are good, with good quality ingredients and compositions. A little to complain about the Smash, as the burger wasn't smashed well. The homemade bun was truly excellent.

28/06/2026: The first day, everything was fine. I had black garlic spaghetti, which was very good. Today, I ordered a takeout cereal trio with tuna, but when I got home, I found chicken even though I'd paid for tuna. I also had a fish burger with onion jam, which had maybe half a teaspoon, you could barely taste it. Too bad.

28/06/2026: I'll start by saying that I know this pizzeria; it makes good pizza (when it's not crowded), but this evening we were once again shown the lack of attention and professionalism in taking orders. Aside from the long wait—about 1 hour and 20 minutes for the pizza, which ultimately arrived with the wrong parmesan shavings (having specified a milk protein allergy). It's happened to us in the past, but I don't think we'll ever return, especially considering the lack of attention to ensuring we don't leave. In fact, they even charged us a €2 cover charge each. I recommend reviewing your organization.

15/06/2026: During my stay in Lamezia Terme, I had the pleasure of dining at Desìo Fucina di Gusto, and I must say that I rarely find a pizza of this caliber. As the founder of Civico 25 and someone who works in the restaurant business every day, I pay close attention to the quality of the dough, the ingredients, and the care taken in the final product. At Desìo, I found an extraordinarily light, well-leavened, fragrant, and flavorful pizza, the result of meticulous preparation and great professionalism. I can honestly say that few pizzerias in the area achieve this level of quality. It's not just about the pizza, but about passion, research, and respect for the customer. You can clearly sense the love that goes into every detail, from the welcome to the service, down to the last bite. Congratulations to all the staff for their hard work every day. When quality, dedication, and passion come together, the result can only be this: one of the best gastronomic experiences I've had in Lamezia Terme.
