05/06/2025: The navigator setting Ristorante La Pineta took me to via Lacchi, 7 while the Hotel Kennedy is located, according to the internet, along the Statale Jonica 106, at no. 113 always in Roccella. On site I realized that in practice the two places (Summer Restaurant La Pineta located to the South) and the Kennedy Hotel located next door on the North side) are practically next door, probably belong to the same owner and therefore share the same parking lot. Why did I clarify this? Because I knew the Hotel Kennedy by name, but only later (due to the slightly different addresses) I understood that they are in the same place and that the first was annexed to the second. With this post I therefore wanted to clarify that the Restaurant and the Hotel are next door and not in two different places as it would seem from their address.

01/05/2025: Excellent place to enjoy excellent fish, but also pizza and the famous Corte d'Assise. Very generous portions, super welcoming and friendly staff. Warm atmosphere excellent for spending a nice evening. Advised

23/06/2025: A young German lady approached us outside the Osteria Del Pescatore. After we had briefly chatted and I told her about our previous experiences with the restaurants in Tropea, she recommended the Osteria Del Pescatore to us. We were skeptical at first, but that changed within the first five minutes. The waiters spoke Italian, English, and Spanish, were extremely courteous, and accommodated our every need. The timing of the antipasti and our main course was perfectly coordinated, so that everything flowed seamlessly without the annoying waits that are so common. The waiters all communicated with each other, and when they saw that a dish was coming to an end, they immediately called out that the next course could be served, without any feeling of being intrusive. The spaghetti con le vongole was exceptionally delicious; there was no salt in the vongole, as is often the case. My bistecca di vitello was perfectly prepared and seasoned, with a wonderful pink center to the meat. A great recommendation from the lady!

21/06/2025: My favorite place for dinner in Tropea. Delicious food at absolutely fair prices. Many fish dishes, a very good wine selection. This osteria is truly a little gem, tucked away in a quiet side street in the old town. Anyone looking to spend a relaxing evening with good food in Tropea should definitely stop by here.

17/05/2025: Terrible experience from the first contact! I didn't even have the "pleasure" of staying at this hotel, and thank goodness! My only contact was by phone, via WhatsApp, and I can say without hesitation that it was one of the most unpleasant conversations I've ever had. The staff was extremely rude and impolite, answering my simple questions arrogantly, almost as if I was bothering them. Every request for information was met with a surly tone and zero availability. No professionalism, no courtesy, just dry and rude answers. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can't even imagine what the welcome in the hotel must be like. Definitely a bad business card. I can't judge the rooms, but the attitude of the staff is already reason enough to avoid this place. Look elsewhere if you want to be treated with respect and professionalism. Also when the arrogance was pointed out to the staff I received this response:

Questa volta mi tocca fare un ottima recensione, aggiungendo che impasto della a pizza e gli ingredienti sono di ottima qualità, ottima scelta delle birre, tra le migliori sul mercato, ampia scelta di pizze, normali e gourmet, personale gentile, simpatico e sorridente, prezzi nella media, ampio locale e ben curato. Complimenti. Consiglio e ci ritorno

09/03/2025: Vado spesso in Calabria per vacanza e lavoro, difficilmente in questa zona ho trovato locali così curati ed eleganti. La soppressa maggiore è stata la pizza, di ottima qualità sia l’impasto fatto com farina integra macinata a pietra, ottima lievitazione e idratazione che la rendono molto digeribile, sia il toppimg fatto con cura, buona qualità dei prodotti e ottime ricette tutte gustose e bene equilibrate. Come dolce ho assaggiato una brioche fatta da loro ottima, si vede che con i lievitata ci sanno fare. Ho visto anche dei panini serviti ad un altro tavolo sembrava eccellenti. Il servizio abbastanza attento, però purtroppo i calabresi, pur essendo persone eccezionali, sorridono poco. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

22/01/2025: I can't give 0 stars. Negative experience. We purchased a chicken with two portions of baked potatoes yesterday January 21st. The chicken remained cold inside. The baked potatoes were a far cry from real baked potatoes. I deduce that everything was certainly heated up at the time. It is neither correct nor professional to cook chickens in the morning and reheat them in the evening just to sell them. Dry and inedible. I'll give you some chef advice: sell chickens only to order, you'll make a better impression. In short, absolutely avoid. ----

12/06/2025: Ho preso una grigliata mista, delle patatine e una birra. All'inizio mi hanno offerto anche delle bruschette. Le porzioni sono generose e il personale è accogliente. Il signore che è all'ingresso è molto simpatico e ha applicato lo sconto del 10% previsto dalla convenzione con il B&B in cui soggiornavo. Per quanto riguarda la mia esperienza, non trovo nessun riscontro con le recensioni negative. L'unico appunto lo si potrebbe fare sui camerieri che sono un po' disorganizzati. Ma sono giovani ed educati, avranno tutto il tempo di imparare al meglio questo lavoro

01/06/2025: This is my second time visiting this family-run restaurant from Munich. The dishes on the menu look so ordinary, but the flavors are exquisite. The food is truly delicious. You can tell that head chef Eva puts her heart into every dish. Chef Ciccio has a great sense of humor 😉

02/06/2025: We went to this restaurant, identified among the many in the area, attracted by the proposal of the first course of the day "tagliolini with prawns, cherry tomatoes and stracciatella". Once seated we ordered: mussels with pepper, fried calamari and prawns, a mixed seafood appetizer, the first courses mentioned above as well as paccheri allo scoglio and we immediately moved on to the dessert "tartufo di pizzo". All the fish was super fresh, the service very attentive and fast and the price honest for the quality and quantity. Highly recommended!!

06/05/2025: What a wonderful place! Surrounded by greenery and fruit trees. Beautiful view. Super friendly people. Everything is pure and real. The food is delicious. We will definitely come back here again.

18/04/2025: A beautiful little paradise in this wonderful area. We spent a great family vacation here. If you are looking for peace and quiet and want to travel individually, this is the right place for you. We were warmly served right from the start and enjoyed the delicious food in our own restaurant. Our two girls had plenty of space to play here in the complex, unfortunately the pool is still a bit too cold at this time of year. Unfortunately our vacation here is over tomorrow, but we will definitely come back here.

19/04/2025: Every time you come to Calabria you can't miss breakfast at Tiffany's. Super ricotta croissants like nowhere else. Convenient location and excellent service.
