18/06/2025: I was there for my nephew's 18th birthday...beautiful location even if a bit neglected. Really good food but the staff is to be avoided at all costs. Especially the owner's sister. For this reason alone I wouldn't go back.

26/08/2025: I went as a couple to this seafood restaurant, which should be considered a "quick-and-go" restaurant for those passing, unpretentious diners. The prices were high, the food was meager, and the prices were unjustified for the quantity and quality. This is a seafood restaurant where dishes are served with condiments similar to those at self-service restaurants or roadside restaurants, namely in sachets. When I specifically requested quality olive oil, or at least bottled oil, given that I was in a zero-mile area, I was told it wasn't available (which is a must in other nearby restaurants), a sign of poor customer service and a lack of local attention. Not to mention the bread being made of rye or similar, which also doesn't reflect the area and typical local products. I hope the manager takes this review from a customer who experiences restaurants everywhere into constructive consideration. Finding a restaurant in Calabria in the famous town of Diamante, where the typicality of the products makes the difference, would have been highly disappointing. This is true even if I had been in Milan, Bologna, or Trento. This is without taking anything away from these wonderful cities, but in the South, from the South, one expects quality, tradition, and customer care, among many other things, especially in the restaurant and tourism sectors. If we take this away, all we have left is the sea.

25/08/2025: Inspired by the good reviews, we tried this place. What can I say? It's an experience I wouldn't recommend even to my worst enemy. We ordered a seafood appetizer. A diamond-shaped spaghetti And a tuna steak. (I can only comment on the appetizer.) A minute after ordering, the drink arrived, and right after the appetizer, which wasn't to my liking. 10 minutes later, the spaghetti arrived (we hadn't finished the appetizer yet). The waiter (as I noticed, the owner) promptly told us that the kitchen is counting its time and that it was time for them to bring out the other courses. But we hadn't finished the appetizer yet. The waiter told us to tell them when they could "put the pasta down." At that point, we decided to get up and leave. A very threatening guy from the kitchen came out at the cash register. I've gone on too long. I don't recommend it at all. Little selection, little quality, and certainly courtesy and kindness in service aren't their forte.

04/06/2025: Durante uno stage di scuola di ballo, per cui abbiamo ovviamente già versato la quota per il maestro, ci hanno servito una caprese a base di mezzo pomodoro e mezza mozzarella per "soli" 15€. Servizio inefficiente. Hanno servito metà dei commensali e così...chi mangiava e chi guardava.

21/06/2025: I have been there several times. Exceptional, staff always very helpful, I happened to have to cancel a reservation at the last minute due to a family problem and I only lost a very small deposit left at the time of booking. They did not ask me for anything else.

04/09/2025: We stayed at this hotel for just one night, passing through the Calabrian mountains. The room had been booked at least twenty days in advance, but I wasn't told that Monday is the restaurant's weekly rest day. The hotel, in fact, functions primarily as a banquet restaurant and, secondarily, as a hotel, mostly for ceremonies with guests traveling and therefore staying for one or more nights. We were therefore greeted by a waiter instructed by the manager to come to the hotel for our arrival. We arrived at the hotel in the early afternoon and were assigned a charming room, all furnished in wood, certainly in a style appropriate for a mid-mountain location like Spadola. However, there was no air conditioning, so it was warm (the sun was shining on it, as you can see in the photo), and it most likely hadn't even been ventilated the night before! Fortunately, the temperature dropped that evening, and the discomfort subsided. The rooms do not have mini-fridges, and the balcony connects to adjacent rooms. This means the shutters must be closed for obvious security reasons, unless someone you trust is staying nearby. The next morning's breakfast was a bit disappointing, as there were no pastries, no other sweets, no yogurt, no fruit, only packaged snacks or biscuits, along with, of course, milk, tea, and coffee. We didn't even have a chance to meet the manager on the day of departure, so we were instructed to pay the waiter who greeted us upon arrival. The hotel is pet-friendly, but I honestly didn't dare take my dog ​​out, as there were three dogs roaming the hotel grounds, and one of them was visibly bothered by my dog. A word of advice to the management...don't offer accommodations on the day the restaurant is closed, because assistance is essential! A warm welcome and customer service can help mitigate any potential shortcomings or even make an already pleasant stay even better. If this is your management policy, given that it was a stay booked well in advance, at least consider offering a more thoughtful breakfast! In all the years we've spent vacationing in Calabria, we've never seen packaged snacks for breakfast, not even in B&Bs, let alone in a hotel that's primarily a restaurant 😕🤔...

14/06/2025: We stumbled upon Bar Moka by chance because everything else was closed for lunch. We were won over by the extremely friendly and enterprising owner, who seems to be there day and night, the motivated team, the delicious baked goods (everything is still available in the evening!), the creamy ice cream, the super-fast and friendly service, and the absolutely authentic, relaxed atmosphere. We were in Crotone for several days and were there every day. We'll be back! Best wishes from your German rum ball friends.

04/05/2025: Comprato un bel vassoio di pasticcini freschi , buoni . Però le dimensioni della paste sono piuttosto grandi e l' assortimento dei tipi e dei ripieni non è molto vario . I prezzi in compenso , paragonati a quelli di qualsiasi località del nord , sono straordinariamente bassi ( 20 euro al kg ) . Personale gentile .

22/08/2025: Terrible. Since last Sunday, my kids and I still have stomach aches... it started out pretty good, but then... I understood why all the sushi places were full except this one. The owner was always watching each of us!! It was awful to feel constantly watched, and on top of that, she constantly threatened us with extra charges if we didn't finish by 11 PM... we arrived at 10:10 PM!!!! To serve the kids... poor things... NEVER AGAIN

21/08/2025: We discovered this place by chance. Two of us paid €49.50 for dinner, an unbeatable price with an all-you-can-eat option. The place is welcoming and the staff are super friendly. The dishes are excellent and all handmade, almost like a home-cooked sushi restaurant. We'll definitely be back.

03/05/2025: A wonderful Lido, large spaces, very clean and well organised. Kind and welcoming staff always attentive to customer needs and ready to satisfy customer needs. My three children, one of whom is disabled in a wheelchair, one is a super sporty teenager and the other is about seven years old, spend their days at Felici e Sereni thanks to the versatility of the Lido la Fonte. Franco, the head of the family known by all children and teenagers as "Uncle Franco" is the backbone of this place which gives everyone the feeling of being welcomed into a BIG FAMILY!!!!! The lifeguards and the staff of the lido are very attentive and sensitive towards "DISABLED" people, making themselves available to satisfy even the slightest needs such as being accompanied into the water with the Jub to the reserved place in the cool on the lido to the bathroom for disabled people which is always clean! Every year it is always a pleasure to experience the sea at Lido la Fonte and when saying goodbye it is always difficult to hold back the tears.

21/08/2025: Terrible experience. Lack of gluten-free and lactose-free products, and the only meatballs we received (gluten-free) were completely raw. To make up for it, they brought a plate of ham and included both the raw items and the plate in the total. Poor quality wine. Children's menu was charged the same as the adult menu (2 slices of ham and 3 meatballs). Lack of a menu to allow customers to choose at their leisure. When asked for an additional tray of potatoes and meatballs, the staff said there were other customers to serve and there probably wouldn't be enough for everyone. Very expensive bill considering what we were served. I do not recommend.

21/08/2025: The welcome wasn't excellent The wine was terrible The food definitely didn't live up to the bill...and it was very salty, too. I didn't want to complain about the bill to come out feeling like a lady. Definitely not recommended.

28/06/2025: Passing by, we stopped for breakfast. We ordered an iced tea, a cappuccino, a coffee, two croissants with cream and a mini cream puff for the modest sum of €12.20. They charged us €2.50 for the cappuccino and €1.50 for the mini cream puff (as if it were in the city centre) and an extra croissant for €1.50. I called, so as not to feel like I was being taken for a ride, and at the cashier they couldn't give me the prices but asked me to come back because the guy who had paid the cash at that moment wasn't there. I find this behavior really dishonest and I hope for their sake that it's not the norm. The service also needs to be reviewed. The guy came to pay the cash at his leisure, there were only two customers at the counter. I wouldn't go back for anything.
