29/09/2025: The "Vecchia Guardia" restaurant clearly aspires to a luxury category, but it is light years away from understanding the fundamental needs of its guests. Our dinner experience for four on August 21, 2025, was a complete failure, especially regarding food allergies. Lack of Seriousness about "Gluten Free" We booked specifically because the website guaranteed availability for allergens, including gluten-free. Once seated, the unpleasant surprise: my wife, a celiac, was categorically denied any dish, including a simple slice of grilled meat. The only option was bottled water! This isn't "willingness to accommodate any need," but a clear example of misleading advertising aimed solely at attracting customers. Small Portions and Mediocre Quality The dishes were somewhere between meager and mediocre, with a presentation that was meant to mimic that of a "starred chef," but I'll leave you to imagine... with a quality that was, let's say, mediocre. The small quantity is unacceptable unless supported by an excellence that was totally absent here. The Bill: The Height of Negligence The highlight was the bill. Not only did they add a cover charge to my wife, who, through their negligence, was unable to eat anything, but, even more seriously, they included two dishes that were never served due to a clear oversight in the service. We had to point out the error to the waiter (who crossed out the amounts) and then again to the cashier, where the person in charge had not yet crossed out the missing side dishes, leaving the restaurant at 10:33 PM after the complaint. Disconcerting Service Finally, the service was disconcerting to say the least. The waiters and the lady kept bringing bread and other gluten-containing dishes right in front of my celiac wife. This is a total lack of care and professionalism, especially after being informed of her celiac disease. To describe the experience as "disappointing" is an understatement. It was unacceptable. I hope anyone reading this review will appreciate how carelessly this restaurant handles its promises and the basic needs of its customers.

29/08/2025: We went to this restaurant and had a really great time. The staff was very attentive and friendly, the service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. The value for money was excellent. We absolutely recommend it! If we ever find ourselves here on vacation, we'll be back! Thank you for the quality of the food and your professionalism!

01/11/2025: This B&B experience is not to be repeated, due to the room overlooking the internal construction site and the unfriendly owner. I love Praia and enjoy going there when I can, but I won't be returning to Porto di Mare.

25/09/2025: Good quality food, otherwise a bad experience. I don't recommend going there. Be careful with the owner (she's clever, even if she doesn't seem so). When I asked for the bill, we realized the next day that she'd listed two salads instead of one, and a dessert we never ate... Excessive prices. My wife and I shared a cold seafood appetizer and a large mixed grill, along with two glasses of wine. We paid 90.00. Absurd!!

24/04/2026: I celebrated my 40th birthday at the tower and everything was perfect...from the staff to the food to the friendliness of the hosts...I recommend this wonderful place for intimate and unforgettable moments ❤️❤️❤️

03/05/2026: I went to this restaurant during the medieval festival. I made a reservation the night before. When I got there, my table was occupied, so they assigned me a table outside. Terrible service. Poor quality food. I waited so long between courses that we ended up paying without finishing our meal.

18/04/2026: A very authentic restaurant. Lovingly decorated and good food. Run by an older couple, and the wife has to do everything herself because the husband can no longer walk well. The service suffers a little from the one-man operation.

After a couple of months, he called me and made me understand that he had found people who paid more for both the menu and the number of guests. He tried everything he could to make me leave. It was unprofessional, after having agreed on everything for months. I do not recommend this farmhouse, as they are not serious people.

27/08/2025: Although the food is very delicious and the chef is extremely kind, the rest is absolutely deplorable: incompetent and inadequate waiters, slow service, and the meaning of the term "fattura" (literally "invoice") comparable to the third secret of Fatima, thus still unrevealed. 22/04/2026: I went to this place to celebrate my son's 18th birthday. Everything was delicious! We chose the pizza rotation menu. The rotisserie was amazing, you can really feel it's made in-house. They had various pizza flavors with high-quality ingredients and a very light dough. The staff was helpful and kind to our every request! For what we paid, it was truly worth it! The evening was accompanied by music, we had a great time! The place was very well-kept and clean! I highly recommend it to everyone!

Despite the unappealing appearance, I was willing to look beyond, but unfortunately, the quality of the food didn't live up to expectations. The sushi I tried was, in my opinion, the worst I've ever tasted. I'm convinced that anyone who praises it as the best has never had the fortune of tasting real sushi; otherwise, they would never call it that. A real disappointment!
