06/09/2025: We came straight from the airport here when we were on our way. We chose this restaurant based on the reviews. A little disappointing, Mega slow service, everything took an hour to get the food and an extra 30 minutes each time to get the bill and other things. Didn't get the pizza even though there was a large selection of different ones on the list. They only make them in the evening. Not going to continue.

04/09/2025: It's home! A beautiful property where peace and relaxation reign supreme. Large, spacious, and spotlessly clean rooms. The staff is friendly and always ready to meet your every need. A special thanks to Katia and the entire staff. They made us feel right at home. Everything was beautiful, I highly recommend it, and we'll see you soon!

26/04/2026: An unpleasant lunch: a bowl (a classic round bowl) of gnocchi with sauce, a very small quantity (the pasta level was less than halfway), a second course of supermarket-quality chicken drumsticks (just 3 small ones), a plate of chips, this one normal size, all for 25 euros. My companion, a scilatelle pasta with porcini mushrooms (he said they were good), a mixed roast meat, and a smaller side of chips, another 25 euros. He fared better. All without a receipt. I didn't like the small size of my first course, the poor quality of the drumsticks, and the slightly undercooked potatoes. What I personally ordered wasn't even close to being worth 25 euros. Not recommended. Adios.

01/06/2026: Excellent seafood restaurant at very good prices, it was a nice surprise on our trip to Scalea.

01/06/2026: The perfect place in Scalea for your meals. The typical cuisine is served both in a work menu available at lunchtime and in à la carte menu at dinner. We stopped at lunch this weekend and we had the possibility of choosing between two different pasta dishes and two main courses together with side dishes and beverage at the price of €15 per person. We really enjoyed our time and we treated us with a vanilla ice cream with fig and hot honey that absolutely made the day.

20/07/2026: Last night, I returned to Tropix after a couple of years, invited by a friend. I must admit, I wasn't particularly satisfied the last time, but this dinner completely changed my mind. We dined practically on the shoreline, in a relaxing and truly evocative atmosphere. The food was a delightful surprise: excellent fried calamari, crispy and light, and grilled octopus on a bed of vegetables, simply exceptional, cooked to perfection and rich in flavor. The atmosphere is refined and immaculately clean, while the staff was professional, kind, and always attentive. It was a truly wonderful evening, so much so that today I can't stop talking about it! Kudos to all the staff: I will definitely be back and will happily recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful evening, enjoying excellent food in a stunning location.

26/06/2026: We stopped for a quick lunch. The sandwiches are very good (the swordfish one is a real treat)! The staff is very courteous, smiling, and helpful! The place is a bit basic, but I'd say that's something you can overlook. It was an experience I'd repeat if I were in the area again! Highly recommended!

04/05/2026: The welcome was warm and welcoming, right from the phone reservation, which was confirmed upon arrival. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was incredibly fresh, and the cuisine unfussy, crafted with authentic flavors. The dishes were generous, and the service was professional and attentive. We'd love to return and recommend it without hesitation.

20/04/2026: I had lunch yesterday with my parents and son at this place, which I wasn't familiar with. We were greeted with smiles and kindness, presented with truly delicious dishes, and treated to a delightful view, with the terrace where we ate overlooking the sea. The swordfish first course and the fried fish were excellent! Highly recommended!

24/05/2026: Wow! What a gem! My cousin brought us there and I was blown away by the atmosphere, service and the fantastic homemade food. Not to mention the homemade wine. Excellent value for your euro. Put it on your list! Forget those 5 star place and eat where the true Italians eat. You will love it !

31/08/2025: Small rest area far from the 106. It contains shaded pitches, a bar, and a beach. Few services, mediocre prices.

28/08/2025: The camper parking area is disgusting. It would be better described as a makeshift parking lot for €32 a day (3 people and 1 dog). Incredible. Let's take it in order: The bathrooms and shower (paid) are dilapidated. The pitches are not marked out. There are fountains around for other purposes, which can be used for a makeshift load. The drainage is a small grate at the entrance. Dishwashing sinks that can't be used because a camper decided to park in front of them, preventing anyone else from using them (but they were also dilapidated). The constant ringing of cowbells grazing on the adjacent land. The stench of garbage, which isn't collected, can be felt throughout the area. Making matters worse is the presence of a gas tank with a massive gas leak. When we reported the presence of gas, we were told it was normal. On the other hand, the sea is fantastic, with a mixed pebble and sand beach, as is the case throughout this area. Internet (all providers) has very little reception. Our four-legged friends are welcome and live with us constantly. They are free to come to the beach. There are two enormous (very good) dogs that roam free. Unfortunately, ours doesn't like the freedom of dogs that invade his property (our camper). Dogs must be leashed... or at most loose, but under the watchful eye of their owners. The price is: August 2025 for €35 per night... Unacceptable for the services not offered. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend... it's a shame they don't know how to exploit its great potential!

20/08/2025: Every summer, I stop by this place to try something. This year, I was unpleasantly surprised by the decline in product quality, portion size, and the exorbitant price increase. The pizza slices pictured cost around €9 and weren't even worth a single pizza. We then ordered arancini (dry, presumably frozen) and a stuffed calzone (which was all bread). I'm truly sorry.

27/06/2026: Gorgeous ice creams and very friendly staff. You'll find special flavors like basil and almond. Delicious. Worth a visit for the quantities. I recommend it.

14/02/2026: Negative experience... a Valentine's Day dinner (2026) where we gave them 70 euros for a poor appetizer, 2 truly inedible first courses, only 3 pasta hearts, and a fried food that can't even be called such, almost starving. I didn't wait for dessert because I had already seen so much from the dinner, I saved myself a trauma. Never again. The place should be closed starting with dinner in the cold it was.

14/02/2026: A decidedly negative experience. I ate at this restaurant on Valentine's Day and it was a bad experience. Unfortunately, the food was poor, and the portions were very small. The portions were small, and the food didn't live up to expectations. The place was cold and the service was unwelcoming. I won't even talk about it. I absolutely don't recommend it.
