13/01/2026: Cozy atmosphere. Delicious food - every bite was a delight, especially the truffle tagliatelle. You can see how the chef prepares the dishes - admiration for the cleanliness in the kitchen. And the wonderful sweet girl from Morocco made our evening even more pleasant with a smile, perfect service and friendly attitude.

12/01/2026: Here, we came for the pasta. It was epic. Situated just near some of the main plaza and attractions is Kapunto. This is a modern restaurant I would say. I really liked the decor and all the cutlery and plate design. Very clean and great staff. There was a buzzing little atmosphere and the locals were chatting hard with staff which was great to see. I loved watching this. I found that the pasta course with some bread and a bottle of wine was a great meal - one would need to be hungry to manage two courses though I would say. The pasta here was just incredible and freshly made. You can see from the images how good this was made. The mushroom and tomatoe sauces we had were bith rich and flavourful. The wine was also a good choice. This is somewhere I would come back to if local and suggest travellers come and visit. Thank you for a great lunch.

The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, and the place immediately conveys a sense of comfort that invites you to sit back and relax after a stroll through the Sassi. We tried the classic Spritz, wine, and sparkling wines, which were all delicious, well-prepared, and the menu offered enough variety to satisfy a wide range of tastes. The snacks and appetizers are also varied and well-presented, with clear and detailed descriptions directly on the menu, ensuring complete transparency regarding what you're ordering. The sore point, however, is the prices of these accompaniments: despite everything being clearly labeled, the price-to-quantity ratio seems excessive in my opinion, with portions that leave a bitter taste in the mouth when the bill arrives. Overall, it was a positive experience for the location, atmosphere, and quality of the drinks, but the price of the appetizers weighed down the final rating and made the quality/quantity ratio less convincing. However, there are several aspects that are worth mentioning, especially for those looking for a pleasant aperitivo in a central area of ​​Matera.

04/01/2026: We went to dinner here last night and absolutely loved it. The welcome, the kindness, the attentive service, the excellent quality and flavor of the food. The manager was very knowledgeable and capable, and the chef was kind and talented. Even the bathroom was meticulously maintained, elegant, and very clean. The price was absolutely in line with the quality and the food we ate. Highly recommended.

27/02/2026: "Basquiat Il Ristorantino" is a restaurant located in Matera near the Sassi. The atmosphere is very elegant; the interior is filled with paintings, and you immediately realize you're in a thoughtfully designed restaurant. Every dish we ordered, from appetizers to first courses, all the way to dessert, was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented! The food quality and the organization of the dishes were worthy of a Michelin star, not to mention the generous portions. The egg with sausage and onion served as an appetizer is noteworthy: I've never had an egg like this before, highly recommended! The prices are very reasonable, and the service is top-notch! I recommend it to anyone who wants Michelin-starred dining but with trattoria-like prices and quantities!

I wish I could have given it 4.5 stars instead of 5 because I think the prices are excessive, but I've noticed that they've become so pretty much everywhere in Matera.

15/11/2025: Tierra is one of those places that stays in your heart. The restaurant is meticulously designed, with an atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. The staff is exceptionally kind, always attentive and smiling. Special thanks go to Roberta, who runs this wonderful restaurant with passion and professionalism along with her partner Domenico. Domenico's cuisine is simply out of this world: authentic, refined dishes prepared with a care rarely found elsewhere. We've visited many restaurants, but the quality and authenticity of the flavors found at Tierra are truly unique. Between this place and a Michelin-starred restaurant... honestly, I wouldn't notice the difference. An excellent experience in every way. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an unforgettable gastronomic journey in Matera.

14/12/2025: It would have been funny to give a low rating, just to avoid being banal. Pino and Mimmo's welcome is worthy of a 5-star hotel. You leave home to go HOME. The raw ingredients in the dishes are excellent and the cleanliness of the hotel is so high that you could eat on the floor. At breakfast, a very affectionate lady serves you and makes sure everything went well. We've been coming here for years every time we visit my aunt :) and we have to go back for the peperone cruscooooo

The excellent restaurant-pizzeria's quality dishes, a good selection of bottled beers, both commercial and craft, and a well-stocked wine cellar. The bar was well-stocked and functional. The rooms were spotless and well-appointed. The breakfasts were top-notch, with excellent croissants, savory options, quality juices, jams, honey, and freshly baked cakes. What more could I say? Friendliness, warmth, and professionalism? Absolutely! Highly recommended! We'll be back very soon. 💯

01/02/2026: Carmela is wonderful... I'll start with her, the soul and strength of this corner of exquisite goodness. This agriturismo, close yet so far removed from the banality of Matera's tourist offerings, won us over with the authenticity of the products served on our plates... the tarallini, the oil, the bread, the cruschi, the turnip tops, the exquisite dishes, and the wine (Il Dono)... it's all so inspiring!!

21/11/2025: The waitress, Lorenza, was very kind and explained the food to us. Very good, we decided to try several dishes and I was satisfied with everything! The chicory with fava beans was a really good specialty, as was the main course. I recommend going. It's a shame it's not visible if someone happens to be walking by and doesn't know, but the place is quaint. We ate under the cave, which was lovely.
