An unmissable stop in Matera. Materia Prima Bistrot offers dishes that are unconventional but deeply rooted in the region, carefully crafted and never boring. Excellent selection of wines and a special bonus: the tables in the piazza, perfect in any season, even with a ray of winter sunshine. I always return, with pleasure.

Every time I come home, I have to visit my friends at Materia Prima. Excellent location, always new and innovative menu, not to mention the selection of organic wines. If you want to spend some time with friends, or a quick aperitivo, Materia Prima will satisfy your needs. Highly recommended.

23/04/2026: Excellent restaurant The place is well designed, clean ( including the toilet) Salads fresh, the escalope with mushrooms was very tasty the pasta with ragu excellent Service was excellent the lady was soooo nice and helped us around with all her heart ❤️
17/04/2026: Freshly home-made pasta was great! I had the Orecchiete with ragu. Very tasty.
