Pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. Excellent product quality. Friendliness and service were outstanding. We sampled various breads with exquisite olive oil from this region of Italy. We had a wonderful dinner.

Even though I'm not a fan of the decor, the food is definitely top-notch and the service is impeccable (almost too much so!). The duck is special, and so are the galettes! Excellent selection of wines and cheeses. Something different and excellent in Matera, much appreciated! We go back every now and then and it's gotten much better!

Burro Salato in Matera was a pleasant discovery, thanks to my wife. A refined and elegant restaurant, we were greeted by the owner, Giuseppe, who made us feel at home. The food is excellent, with a nod to French cuisine, while also showcasing the finest local produce. The cuisine is also very child-friendly; in fact, our two children were very pleased. Highly recommended.

Do not debate whether to go to this restaurant. It would be hard to find a better restaurant in matera. Italian/french fusion, lovely team, informal yet refined. Perfect.

Absolutely top quality food. And very reasonable prices. The food here is a different class to many of the restaurants in the vicinity.
Great menu with high quality dishes. The Galettes are outstanding. And the choice of wine is excellent.
So good we went back a second time.

One of our best dining experiences to date. We had the most lovely time chatting with Giuseppe who welcomed us so warmly. Being vegan was not an issue for these chefs, they had the most amazing vegan menu, the food was incredible and made with pride. We would have eaten here again if we were staying longer! Thank you Giuseppe and everyone at Burro Salato, we will remember that dinner for a long time.
