06/01/2025: We arrived at this very renowned pastry shop to taste sospiri, the famous "nun's tits", a true delicacy!! Very soft with shantilly cream, or filled with pistachio or coffee cream etc... nice place, a nice display of sweet pastries and chocolates, good service.

03/06/2025: We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of my cousin. We had good expectations that were even exceeded. Exceptional dishes, halfway between tradition and innovation thanks to the French influence, impeccable service (the host entertained us and carefully explained each dish). Highly recommended

11/05/2025: La nostra è stata un’esperienza bellissima! Antonio ( Cuoco custode della tradizione culinaria del Pollino) e’ una persona speciale , ottimo cuoco che ti illustra le pietanze (abbondanti e molto varie) personalmente creando un’atmosfera familiare e priva di inutili fronzoli. Abbiamo pernottato in masseria e svegliarsi con il canto del gallo e’ bellissimo. Siamo fuggiti dalla città in cerca di pace e siamo stati esauditi oltre ogni aspettativa!

02/05/2025: Questo posto mi ha lasciata piacevolmente stupita per la bontà e qualità dei piatti offerti, l’antipasto buonissimo e abbondante con tutti prodotti tipici del territorio, l’assaggio del primo vale tutta le cena. Tutto accompagnato dalla cortesia del proprietario e la gentilezza del personale.Una cena davvero gradita, grazie!

09/05/2025: Place AWESOME! We were in Matera for a few days and every day we visited Marisa (the owner of the place, whom I warmly greet :) to taste the DELICIOUS panini she prepared. We ate different ones, but my heart was won by the one with burata, prosciutto crudo and truffle salsa! A CULINARY MASTERPIECE! And I say this with complete seriousness. In addition, nice atmospheric music, generously poured wine - what more could you want from an afternoon meal in this beautiful city :)

09/05/2025: Great sandwiches, cheap and stuffed enough to get up from the table and roll away happy. You can eat outside, but you can feel comfortable despite the nearby market. Quality ingredients.

03/06/2025: Visti i tanti giudizi positivi, dispiace scrivere una recensione che va in direzione opposta. Gli antipastini erano discreti, ma decisamente scarsi nelle quantità. I primi, preparati con pasta fatta in casa, avevano un formato piuttosto grossolano e un condimento poco generoso. Il coniglio, anch’esso discreto, è stato servito in porzioni ridotte. Deludenti i peperoni cruschi, piatto tipico della zona: gommosi e privi di quella croccantezza che li rende davvero speciali. Infine, il costo: sproporzionato rispetto alla qualità e, soprattutto, alla quantità offerta. Insomma, una giornata... direi proprio "no".

03/06/2025: Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, il menù era semplice ma ricco di piatti tipici lucani. Il locale era arredato con testimonianze della civiltà contadina, sembrava di essere in un piccolo museo. Il proprietario, giovane, ci ha intrattenuto con spiegazioni e racconti, e lo stesso faceva con tutti gli ospiti stranieri, dimostrando un'ottima padronanza delle lingue.

28/04/2025: Unfortunately, apart from the location and the beauty of the terrace with arches and a wonderful view, the rest is disappointing. Expensive appetizer but with poor raw materials, especially the ricotta, tasteless vegetable meatballs, barely salvageable. The little fish in spicy sauce, even the famous calzone we didn't like. The first courses were rather insignificant, slightly overcooked pasta, tasteless pork ragù. The lamb was also dry, not cooked well. Friendly and fast service. Toilets acceptable. Average costs. We won't be back.

20/05/2025: La Braceria Brasiliana A Barraca di Matera è un vero gioiello! L'atmosfera è calda e accogliente, perfetta per una serata tra amici o con la famiglia . La carne, cucinata alla perfezione, è tenera e saporita, con una varietà di tagli che soddisfa ogni palato. Il servizio è impeccabile, il personale è gentile, attento e sempre disponibile. La selezione di contorni è altrettanto eccellente, con opzioni fresche e gustose che completano alla perfezione i piatti principali. Consigliatissimo per chi cerca un'esperienza culinaria autentica e di alta qualità. Un'esperienza brasiliana da ricordare a Matera!

23/05/2025: Impeccable!! I enjoyed lots of very well-prepared Italian specialties. The servers were very kind and welcoming, and the restaurant is well-located in the heart of the troglodyte settlements!

22/05/2025: I read some serious reviews about this restaurant here. I can only think that these people were very unlucky. I found the atmosphere on the terrace very pleasant, the service was absolutely kind and courteous, the food very good and the price fair, in line with the prices charged in the region. The experience was so good that I went back the next day. Later I realized that most of the reviews were quite old, from years ago, so I think they are no longer justified. I recommend it.

04/06/2025: Siamo ritornati a pranzo due giorni di seguito ed il motivo è semplice : si mangia la cucina tipica lucana e la signora Giovanna è un personaggio che sa mettere a proprio agio il cliente. Vino rosso buono , prodotto dal marito, ambiente piccolo e non accetta prenotazioni. Per mangiare bisogna arrivare a mezzogiorno o alle 18,30. Una esperienza originale

Divine cuisine, whatever you choose to eat will be excellent thanks to the mastery of its chef who combines with passion and immeasurable talent flavors and presentations that make the meal a magnificent culinary experience. The environment that will welcome you will be fantastic and will make you feel at home, with its amazing, attentive, kind and thoughtful dining room staff. Last but not least, the attention given by all the staff to people 'with special needs'; this is a place where you will NEVER feel uncomfortable if you are accompanied by 'differently abled', on the contrary, as happened to me, you will want to return and return because our special kids feel at ease and want to be the first to go to the Duomo whenever possible. Il Duomo is a place of the soul, go and come back!

01/06/2025: Fantastic restaurant and pizzeria near the Acerenza cathedral. Excellent quality ingredients, impeccable service and noteworthy dishes. We tried appetizers and pizza, truly fantastic!! Not to mention the house Aglianico wine. It was so good that we decided to take an extra bottle to taste at home. Recommended with 5 well-deserved stars.

01/06/2025: Highly recommended. Everything is impeccable, from service to food. If you want to take a break from the average pizza and pasta, you should definitely check this place out. Since it is also a wine bar, their selection of wines is really good. If you’re in the mood for some bubbles, be sure to oder a bottle of Franciacorta (the italian version of champagne)

28/05/2025: Amazing cave restaurant who are opened by wine and olive oil producer. Local food menu very authentic. Great music. Must try Cigar room in -2 underground level with a well ventilated room and a selection of whiskies and liqueurs.

03/06/2025: A unique experience...very well-kept place and studied cuisine that enhances the raw materials with absolute refinement. The girls in the dining room are friendly and never too set despite the many questions at the tables. Very honest bill...there were 3 of us...43 each with various dishes and 2 gin and tonics. Highly recommended if you want to get away from the "homemade" scheme.
