23/01/2025: We went to this restaurant last Sunday, a well-kept place, excellent Florentine steaks... the two (very nice) guys who served us were very professional in advising us on everything. We will absolutely be back! Greetings from the Venetians

23/01/2025: If it was possible I would give this place 6 stars. Definitely the highlight of our 4 day visit to Florence. We shared sirloin on the bone which was unbeatable - perfectly seasoned, mega flavoursome and accepted (if not encouraged) to pick up the bone and nibble the edges. Tiramisu was fantastic, and house wine was very well priced and excellent. If we weren't leaving tomorrow, I'd come again. We also had porcini mushrooms which were delicious and unlike how I have had previously (very tender, creamy even, and lovely porcini flavour as you'd expect). Salad and potatoes also very nice. We ended with a complimentary shot of chamomile grappa which was surprisingly smooth, easily drunk and distinctive chamomile flavour. Can't rate this place high enough!

16/02/2025: Ottimo ristorante toscano, accanto alla Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore. Luci soffuse ed ambiente accogliente. Servizio garbato e preciso. Prezzi non eccessivi per una gustosa cena fiorentina.

09/02/2025: Food ok, shame about the terrible service. At the end of the meal, just after paying, I was waiting for my mother and my cousin to return from the bathroom, when a waiter came running and, perhaps thinking that I didn't understand Italian, started gesticulating and saying 'come on, come on'. When I tried to explain to them that I was about to leave, but that I was just waiting for 2 people to return from the bathroom, the waiter responded very rudely, saying 'yes, yes, yes, but in the meantime you have to clear the table' and continuing to gesticulate as if I didn't understand him. So I got up, and I also had to collect other people's jackets, bags and wait outside the restaurant for them to join me. I don't think I have ever received such rude treatment. All you had to do was ask politely.

06/02/2025: Ordered on deliveroo, delivery time that continues to increase rather than decrease, I call the restaurant to get information and, after being treated in a way that to say is rude is an understatement, when I said that the service and assistance were poor, I was told that next time I can not order from them. No comment..good thing you're dealing with the public. Shame

23/01/2025: Tonight it was me and my colleague.... We were here on business, we come from Modena... We ate divinely, everything was delicious, excellent cuts and excellent chips... the friendliness of the waiter was unique and very professional. The cook is a young girl but with great love for what he does and you can see it in the dishes that come out... if I come back here for work.. I will also come back to eat there.. I recommend it

01/02/2025: A nice discovery in Montelupo. The place is very nice. There were two of us, we had two first courses including a wild boar parpardella and a ricotta and spinach tortello. Both very good. One and two hundred kilos of very good steak and a bottle of wine and water. The cost was 130.50 euros. They offered us coffee and limoncello. The cost is a little above average. Advised . .

21/01/2025: Ero di passeggio per le vie del centro di Firenze, dopo un intensa giornata di lavoro, sono passata davanti a questa porticina con questa scala che scendeva e non ho esitato ad aprire la porta ed imboccare i gradini che mi hanno sin da subito trasportata in un'altra dimensione. La cucina a vista, il camino acceso, la carne dall'aspetto delizioso sulle braci, i cuochi sorridenti al lavoro ed il padrone di casa, il signor Luciano che con un sorriso ed una professionalità mista a dolcezza mi è venuto incontro: "un tavolo per una persona ho chiesto - siamo al completo mi dice, ma attenda un attimo - è tornato da me chiedendomi di attendere qualche minuto che si stava per liberare un tavolo". Ha preso una sedia, mi ha fatta accomodare e dopo qualche istante mi ha portato un calice di vino bianco. Come per magia la stanchezza ha iniziato ad abbandonarmi. Il signor Luciano è venuto al mio tavolo indicandomi i fuori menu contestualmente con la consueta lista. La scelta era vasta e molto interessante ed invitante, così mi sono totalmente affidata a Lui e ho attraversato un percorso enogastronomico stupefacente. Ho iniziato con dei pici ad uno straordinario sugo di vitella, salsiccia e finocchietto selvatico .. la scarpetta non è potuta mancare .. per proseguire poi con un bis di uno straordinario brasato alla cipolla rossa e polpetta di vitella con il purea di patate, il tutto abbinato ad un morbido e abboccato vino rosso del signor Luciano: che dire .. la chiusura è stata con la degustazione di una speciale ricotta di capra e pecora con le fragole e della caratteristica e tradizionale torta al cioccolato di Luciano accompagnata da un bicchiere di un ottimo rum. Che dire! Un esperienza così non l'avevo mai vissuta, entrare a casa di qualcuno, entrando in un ristorante per consumare in solitudine una cena ristoratrice .. che si è poi rivelata una condivisione con il signor Luciano ed il suo staff ed il suo particolare e suggestivo locale storico costellato da una cucina straordinaria. E' stato come stare in famiglia e non vedo l'ora di tornarci per poter assaporare pietanze che non ho assaggiato e soprattutto riabbracciare il signor Luciano, 75 anni, da 60 al ristorante, dalle sembianze di un ragazzino. Grazie.

01/02/2025: I had Chianina T-bone steak and it was really delicious. We both ate 1kg and it was just right. When I went there, there was a Korean staff member who kindly helped me. The recommended wine was also good.

31/01/2025: Restaurant with great atmosphere. This is a great steak restaurant! There is a Korean menu and there is someone to help you, so you can order without difficulty. The food tastes very good! I ordered T-bone steak, mixed salad, and baked potatoes, and it was all delicious! I think we ordered 1.3 kg for two people, but we only ordered 1 kg, but it was a lot! If I come back to Florence, I will definitely come back!

09/02/2025: First experience at Cecchini's, having taken the solociccia: a two-hour succession of tasty and well-cooked courses (apart from the roast which was tough). 2 liter wine, excellent fresh bread! The mocha mixture and the oil cake are also very good. The service is very uneven but folkloristic... overall lovely! While waiting, an aperitif is offered with red pieces and crostini with oil and Chianti butter. For 30 euros each you couldn't do better. Recommended if you are very hungry!

08/02/2025: I fully agree. Good meat. The owner fantastic. Arrive around 12 and book at least 3 weeks in advance (especially on Sunday for lunch). Well done, keep it up. May the fat be with you😋.

20/01/2025: Are you in Florence and want to eat Florentine steak? You absolutely have to come here!! Not to mention the appetizers, first courses and desserts, all in a characteristic setting, in summer you can also eat outdoors. Simone and Cristian always make you feel at home. Top!!

11/02/2025: Fuoco Matto was around the corner from our apartment and got recommended by other friends for pizza. Sadly, we made the mistake of ordering a steak. After a full day of walking and it being our final night in Florence, I wanted one last steak. We’ve had amazing steaks in Florence on various occasions. A well rated restaurant, with locals and a solid atmosphere held promise. We ended up with, by far, one of the worst pieces of beef I’ve had the displeasure of eating in a restaurant. How did the kitchen not notice? How did the server bring it out and not care? I was too tired to send it back. The gorgeous piece of meat was completely ruined by careless preparation. It tasted like a steak that was microwaved. No proper grill marks (indicates a grill that was too cold or no contact with the grilling surface), it tasted steamed. No caramelized fat, just bad. All this for close to 100 euros. Other dishes were forgettable. If you come, stick with the pizza, that seems to be a good option.
