30/12/2024: The most flavourful, well seasoned, perfectly cooked bistecca I’ve ever had in Florence! The service was also amazing particularly from Cosimo. Wish we could go back!

29/12/2024: This restaurant deserves 5 stars in every aspect of ranking. The service and the management was definitely one of the most professional. The nice thing about this restaurant was the menu had English version in case you prefer it. We had our Italian Friends with us which was the best. We ordered Florentine Steak which was more than enough for three adults. They show you two different cuts of the cow and explain how they are different and let you choose which one you want. I am not a big fan of rare steaks, but this totally changed my mind. It was so tasty and delicious. I could feel many different flavours which I didn't expect to taste in a rare steak. If you don't like rare steak at all, I don't recommend this place because they don't make well-done or medium. But if you like to experience new tastes like me, I highly recommend it. We also ordered grilled vegetables and The Black Crostinoc and Grilled Porcini Mushrooms as side dishes. Everything was exceptionally delicious. We had Cantucci e vinsanto for dessert which is the traditional dessert of Florence. Finally, the manger of the restaurant treated us with four types of drinks which was a great finish for this incredible meal.

22/12/2024: If we talk about steak, Nandone is an institution! Here we eat the fat... the good one, period!!! Paolo a true artist of embers and meat! The steak master. I'm not even going to talk about the dishes that precede and follow the meat. Hors d'oeuvres galore and a series of amazing homemade desserts!!!

05/01/2025: The location is very suggestive...the outside directly overlooks the Arno...the inside however is very elegant and welcoming...the cuisine is excellent...the cuts of meat are well cooked and very good quality...the burgers are excellent...also very good the desserts especially the millefeuille Buontalenti...the staff is very kind and helpful

13/10/2024: Three-star hotel restaurant. We only stayed one night, because we were passing through. Clean, very comfortable room, with small balcony, safe, hairdryer and fridge. Parking space on the street, in front, reserved and free. It is located in a hamlet of Greve, called Chiocchio. The owner, Mr. Francesco is a wonderful, passionate and competent host, a professional sommelier, full of precious advice on wine and otherwise. We will definitely be back to try the restaurant. An affectionate greeting and thanks again for the very welcome suggestions which made our stay, although short, even more interesting and intense.

10/01/2025: Recommended by the guide while touring the Uffizi Gallery. I went there believing it was a steak restaurant, but the server was very friendly and the T-bone steak was really tender and delicious. He even said thank you in Korean, so it was a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. The meal was delicious!

04/01/2025: Embarrassing, there are 5 of us and we ask for a cheese appetizer to share while waiting for the first course, and the lady assertively insists that at least 2 are needed, we refuse but she insists again and brings the second course anyway, and then adds on her own initiative even a truffle flan. In the end we dispute the price saying that he brought us things that were not ordered. The lady smiles, stammers something and doesn't even give us 30 cents off, which could have been a nice gesture given that thanks to her 'initiative' we paid 25/30 euros more. Luckily we told her we were there for work and had a limited budget, having booked to get the discount with The Fork (regularly applied). But that's not all: some prices, by consulting the receipt, have been increased compared to the written menu. The covers, from 2.30, suddenly become 2.50 each, the starter goes from 11.50 to 12.50, gnocchi from 12.50 to 13.50, etc... Unfortunately we don't realize it immediately, and when we go back the place is already closed. Never again.

03/01/2025: Avoid!! Food was okay - nothing spectacular but no complaints. However, the host aggressively pushed us to leave reviews, making me feel quite uncomfortable (giving us their private WiFi to post, repeatedly checking to see if we posted…) She also pushed us to order more than what we wanted. We ended up paying $57.50 EUR for 2 pastas and 1 octopus salad (which was pushed onto us), which is quite overpriced for the area. Left this place with a bitter taste in my mouth.

31/12/2024: Simple, approachable and kind staff. Very good dishes. I recommend the special stuffed cockerel.

01/12/2024: Everything is very good, the service is perfect, the environment is very nice and the food, since I haven't been to a butcher shop outside the super markets I have never tasted such good meat and the first one the sauce was very good.

03/01/2025: Nothing to say about the food and the location. We had the wild boar pappardelle as a first course and a black Angus Florentine steak as a second course. Both dishes were delicious and the portions are more than fair. Unfortunately I had a NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE with the waiters. One of them, while trying to open a bottle of wine at the table behind ours, knocked the open bottle over on the floor and most of the wine ended up on my white fur, making it patchy. NO ONE came to apologize for what happened and try to somehow fix what happened. I noticed that the waiters were all grumpy, even towards customers and with little desire to work. This left me looking forward to finishing dinner and leaving. I definitely won't go back there again.

02/01/2025: Where do I even start? Trattoria dall’Oste Chianineria promised a great steak experience, but instead, we walked away with food poisoning, a lighter wallet, and a waitress straight out of a comedy sketch. First, the food: The steak was mediocre at best, especially for a place that prides itself on being a “T-bone destination.” Medium-rare? More like medium regret. To make things worse, the mussels in our seafood pasta tasted suspiciously… off. Fast forward a few hours, and my boyfriend and I found ourselves starring in our own version of Survivor: Food Poisoning Edition – complete with vomiting, fever, and other unmentionable side effects. The service? Equally unforgettable. Our waitress was not only unprofessional but borderline shameless. When we asked for wine recommendations, she had the audacity to ask for our budget. Yes, because clearly, recommending wine is rocket science, and our finances were the limiting factor. Oh, and she made sure to remind us (multiple times) to leave her a tip—in cash, no less. The only redeeming factor? The gelato OUTSIDE the restaurant. We had one every day after just to erase the trauma of this meal. Tourists, take note: they seem to know you’re not coming back, so the effort here is minimal at best. Save your stomach, your wallet, and your sanity. Florence has far better dining options. Would I recommend it? Only if you’re into overpriced regrets and a potential ER visit.

06/01/2025: It was me and my friends on New Year's Eve, we ordered some very good cut potatoes but the quantity was really small. Service a little slow but understandable given the day. All in all I had a good time.

05/01/2025: Excellent food. Impeccable service. Really friendly staff. Possibility of choosing between fixed menu and à la carte. Truly honest prices given the excellent quality of the raw materials used. Clean, welcoming environment with wonderful panoramic views of the hills. One star less for the environment item due to the presence of the dog owned by the managers (beautiful and very calm) who occasionally walked among the tables... it might not be appreciated by everyone. I highly recommend trying this restaurant! Excellent quality/price!

27/12/2024: A beautiful reality suitable for families. Found by chance we decided to try this farm and the choice turned out to be a winning one. The structure is very beautiful, upon entering you find yourself in front of a beautiful lit fireplace (always makes an impression) while on the left there is the room with a large bright window at the end that opens onto the valleys below while the roof with beams views complete the picture. The restaurant offers a Tuscan menu with several tasty choices, I personally tried the carpaccio, the fillet with porcini mushrooms and the raw cheesecake with salted caramel. As a wine, an organic red blend of their production that is light but which accompanies the type of cuisine well. The dishes are good and arrive at the right time, the service is discreet and the bill is definitely in line with the proposal. The real strong point of this structure is the farm with chickens, rabbits, goats, pigs, geese and a donkey without considering the tree house. All in all, a nice place where you can eat well and spend carefree hours with the children and nature. Handsome!
