07/06/2025: It was the most impressive meal during my honeymoon in Italy. As a chef who cooks Italian food in Korea, this trip was not just a simple rest, but also a journey to experience and learn about the ‘local taste’ firsthand. But this place…it’s really so delicious. You absolutely must try the gnocchi, and you absolutely must finish with the panna cotta. It’s just…so delicious. On top of that, the owners are really, really kind. The man speaks Korean well and even says “Ttabong👍”! The woman also welcomed me so warmly, which made me feel secure. Later, when I run my own restaurant, I thought I wanted to capture this kind of atmosphere and warmth. It was an unforgettable meal during my trip. 17/06/2025: Historic place on the hills of Scarperia, owner (Paolo) kind and easy-going. The peculiarity is that you sit down and the appetizers are already served, they are not for all mouths let's say, nice strong but they are part of the peculiarity of the place and are still excellent. The Fiorentina is of superlative quality and very soft. The final desserts were the bomb, as well as its 95 degree digestive that makes you forget you ate heavy. Definitely a place to try, I recommend it because you hardly find taverns like this anymore!

15/06/2025: Exceptional Fiorentina cooked to perfection but I should make some notes… The appetizers were too abundant.. we appreciated the generosity obviously but the quantity unfortunately prevents you from fully enjoying the meat because you are already full. I would improve the quality of the latter by reducing the quantity. Good cracklings and cheeses, the rest in my opinion could have been avoided… excellent house wine. The chocolate and cream cake was delicious. A final note of criticism: it was really too hot in the room and the window was closed.. The owner was very friendly and available to give all the necessary information

13/06/2025: At noon they welcome you with a welcome aperitif, right on the street in front of the shop, wine and bread with Chianti butter. At one o'clock the host starts the dance, everyone is taken to their place. NO intimate lunches or dinners, here there are convivial tables, where you talk to people from all over the world. 50 euro menu, everything delicious. Special mention to the Chianti sushi.

02/07/2025: Let's talk about the food first. I ordered a set meal from the menu. When it came, the T-bone steak was a little burnt on the outside, and there was still blood inside (I ordered medium to well). The salad was average, but the baked potatoes were delicious. Let's talk about the environment. It was a high-end restaurant atmosphere. Finally, let's talk about the service. The waiters could clearly feel the difference in treatment. The white faces were very enthusiastic, while the Asian faces were more slack. I had to ask the waiter for a Chinese menu before I was given one. I asked for sparkling water, but the one I got was regular water. After the appetizer, I put the plate aside, but the waiter didn't take it away. I don't want to argue with the waiter in the restaurant. It's not polite. But if the differentiated service continues like this, I think everyone will vote with their feet.

30/06/2025: For once I wanted to go by feeling, without first searching on the internet, my battery was flat. A first sign alerted me seeing a foreign clientele like me elsewhere, very few Italians. I am not a very carnivorous, I wanted to tighten my budget a little for my last day. At a little less than 50€, I ate average pasta, a 1/4 of a carefully cut pineapple, a small bottle of authentico wine from Montepulciano, served at room temperature, 15 degrees, it was steep. In the end, as we walk a lot in Florence to visit everything, at the end of the evening, I made myself a Mac do😬. Very disappointed😔

25/06/2025: I felt so discriminated in this restaurant, we were 3 foreigners young girls, and I don’t know if it was because of that but who I think the manager was (a little bald man) look at us with disgust, also he was everytime disturbing a table who I think that were his rich friends, all the night around them even if he didn’t participate in the conversation. Of course 3 foreign ladies maybe don’t fit in that kind of places, but is was not necessary treat us like that, if we can pay that’s all that matters, also he lied to another people saying that they were close at 9:30pm when outside there was a paper saying that they close the kitchen at 10pm. But on the other hand the waiter (a big bald man with glasses) was extremely kind, he made the effort to talk with us, also he cut our dishes to split them in three parts and he smile at us every time. If you don’t want to feel discriminated don’t go there, there are many good restaurants at Florence to go instead of this one.

15/06/2025: Lunch with friends, possibility of gluten-free and vegetarian menu (on request). Kind and professional staff. Suggestive setting, in the countryside. The hot climate is slightly mitigated by the vaporizers and fans. Very abundant food (possibility of taking leftovers home). A nice experience, but to be repeated on a cooler day

14/06/2025: The place is hard to find but when you arrive your satisfaction will be sky high. The view is fantastically fabulous: you can see the hill and the whole soul of Tuscany. The place is equipped and there is a children's park with a trampoline. You will have lunch on a veranda. UPDATE We returned to this restaurant after a long time! The quality of the ingredients and the presentation even better than we remembered. The goat cheese flan was excellent, the ricotta meatballs had a memorable tomato sauce, you could taste all the flavor of the sun! We liked the ravioli with burrata and pesto and the pici with Cinta ragù were very much appreciated, very seasoned! The matchstick fries were also very tasty, thin and crunchy! Excellent quality zero-mile wine! They independently produce various products such as wine, oil, vegetables. A flaw is the rather slow service, but there is no discussion about kindness and knowledge of the raw materials, compliments. The desserts are good.

03/06/2025: I wouldn't go back. We had 5 first courses and a second course and spent €135. Too much considering the average prices in the area. We also paid €2.30 for the service charge per person, including a baby, for just bread. There wasn't even oil, salt or pepper on the table and the placemats were made of paper. As for the dishes: In the Pici cacio e pepe the cream was completely torn The pumpkin gnocchi were too sweet The only thing that is worth saving is the tagliata.

13/06/2025: We came late 10pm and Carol (waitress) was very friendly and kind took us in to order pizza. We ordered margherita and 4fromaggio both were wonderful and the dough I ate everything.

13/06/2025: We were on a business trip, upon entering, we asked if there was air conditioning and they immediately made us sit under the air conditioning. Closing the entrance door. Then they served us a welcome appetizer, We ordered two tomato risottos with shrimp and to say that it was out of this world is an understatement. In addition, it was also the Chef's birthday, to whom we still wish a happy birthday. We recommend it!

04/06/2025: We only came for the restaurant part. For antipasti we ordered breasola and burrata, for secondi gnocchi tartuffo and for prima tranche steak. Antipasti was amazing they combined creamy burrata with salty breasola and cured egg yolk slices which was an amazing touch for the dish. Gnocchi was amazing and made with truffle slices. Meat was also so delicious, and was very juicy and tasty. The aromas within the meat was so good. Overall it was all amazing! We ordered what the owner suggested as wine and (shocker) it was so good as well! Francesco the owner was so nice and informative to us. Definitely give it a try if you are in tuscany!
