31/01/2026: 👎🏻A disastrous experience out of 10 pieces of hot food to take away they gave us three hot cartociate freshly baked and 7 cold pieces, the cartociate we took were 7 with fried aubergines soaked in oil and the other three with sausages and chips the chips were burnt, I'm very sorry because the owner is a very good person a very clean place but the staff and the product leave much to be desired not only is he rude but also incompetent in the restaurant sector in addition to most of the hot food was cold they didn't even put a napkin, this happened because we told them to their face that we don't work so we made a bad impression on other friends who were very upset cold product and full of oil, I'm sorry but we will not come to take hot food from you again you have disappointed us, you don't behave like this with customers, money doesn't fall from the sky, I hope the owner opens another store with competent staff and better products, but we will not come to Acireale anymore Best regards 👎🏻

27/08/2025: Historic sandwich shop! Family-run, first by father Vito, now by son Roberto. Quick, excellent sandwiches for all tastes. If you want something quick and tasty, this is the place. Highly recommended, the Diablo sandwich (my favorite).

06/10/2025: What a gem in Marina di Ragusa! The atmosphere is just fantastic – vibrant, relaxed, and full of good energy. The young staff are absolute stars: cheerful, friendly, and always make you feel welcome. The music is spot on (one night there was even a lady DJ – she was brilliant!). And the drinks… wow. The IPA is the real deal – bold and flavourful – and the cocktail selection is top-notch. Definitely a place you’ll want to come back to again and again. We had such a great time that we secretly wished they’d hire my husband and me – just so we could stay there forever!

08/01/2026: Happy to have rediscovered this place! Mescan is a historic pub in Acireale. I spent many evenings there with friends as a teenager, but then it went into decline and I haven't had the chance to frequent it again. I was skeptical about returning, but I was surprised to find a place that has been reborn, even better than before! The place is still as amazing as it was then, but the food, beers, and overall quality have significantly improved. Their burgers are delicious, with homemade bread and quality ingredients. The service is friendly, helpful, and fast. To this day, it's one of the few pubs in the Catania area that can still call itself such. Prices are in line with the rest of the market, with the difference compared to other places that are adequate for the quality provided. Average cost €20 per person.

31/12/2025: Answer: Well, I'll answer calmly, since the tone of my review, perhaps misunderstood, was simply a description of what we experienced. The fact that there were seven of us doesn't justify a quantity that, in our opinion, was insufficient for the price paid. Okay, it wasn't for three, it was for four, but would that really have made a difference? The thought still remains that, in our opinion, the quantity wasn't even enough for four. We had, however, asked the waiter when ordering if it was necessary to order an extra one (since there were seven of us) and were advised against it, so, believe me, the problem wasn't the two or three euros per person, contrary to what you're making out. Even with the sandwich, it's a personal opinion: just because it was eaten doesn't mean it was good quality, especially if it arrived cold (if I pay for something, I'm used to finishing it unless the food is spoiled, but that's not the case here). As for the fries, yes, I definitely pay for them elsewhere; they certainly don't relegate them, but they're usually included in the price. The lack of cutlery, glasses, and plates was a real problem, and it persisted even after I asked. I don't know if, being an Irish pub, the idea was to drink water straight from the bottle, but bringing the drinks first and then having to ask for a glass for water seems inappropriate (remember, we pay the cover charge, rightfully). Furthermore, when we asked for simple "small plates," we were initially told they weren't available for everyone, but we must acknowledge the kindness of the wait staff, who tried to remedy the situation by bringing them. Reviews are meant to share experiences, whether positive or negative, not to bash people. My comment wasn't out of frustration, but rather the opinion of a customer who paid for a service they didn't find satisfactory. And precisely because we know these are people who work, we tried not to make the staff feel uncomfortable. Personal final thought: our experience remains negative, and calling ourselves "frustrated" doesn't change that. Again, I'm sorry, especially if you felt disrespected for your work with this review, but the experience remains the same. Regards Terrible. An appetizer that was billed as serving five people, at a whopping €9.50, which in reality can only be shared between three people. The sandwich, in addition to arriving practically cold, was truly awful. It also didn't come with fries, which you had to pay for separately. Poor service; cutlery, glasses, and even plates were missing. I'm sorry, but I don't recommend it at all.

08/03/2026: Five stars, but: The POS is always broken. Even when it works, you can't pay with your phone's contactless card. A quick call to your bank and they'll replace it for free. You're the best in the area, and even better. It's a shame. I'll update the review when it's 2026 for you too.

Let's start with the welcome: the owner, with kindness and courtesy, immediately seats you and escorts you to your table. Kindness is a hallmark here, as is the attention to customers and their tastes. The selection is so wide that it's a pleasure to seek advice. The delicacies, from appetizers to dessert, follow one another like a pleasant carion, and the simplicity combined with the careful preparation honors the pleasure of dining. So the atmosphere, excellent food, generous portions, and elegant and refined location paint a picture of the ideal scenario. We were just passing through, but we'll definitely be back. See you soon!

19/10/2025: Lunch on October 10, 2025 Recommended, we weren't disappointed. The arancino with ham and mozzarella was good but not memorable, while the one with ragù won us over with its richness and quality of filling. We loved the scacce. Rating: 9

25/08/2025: Very nice staff! We ordered two Arancini, one with Ragu and one with spinach and cheese. Very tasty and affordable! Especially for a quick pit stop.

30/12/2025: A cozy street-facing veranda. They'll let you finish your lunch even if they're closing, and you can leave your empty plates on the table, which will be picked up in the afternoon. No rush!

18/01/2026: Everything was perfect, from the excellent quality food and wide selection to the kindness of the staff. I've been upstairs several times, where they have a reception room. It's very elegant and welcoming, always beautifully decorated. I've enjoyed live music, and after a delicious dinner, great dancing in the center of the room until late... The staff was always attentive to their guests' every request. The open bar is also excellent, with a wide variety of cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I recommend it for celebrating birthdays, graduation parties, first communions, etc.

14/09/2025: A disappointment that hurts, especially when it comes to an institution like La Trizzera. The new management is slowly destroying a historic landmark for Agrigento. A real shame! Sincere praise goes to Mr. Diego and the wait staff, who with professionalism and courtesy tried in every way to apologize for the enormous delay. It's worth noting that many of those present were longtime customers who continue to frequent the restaurant only thanks to the trust placed in Mr. Diego, whom they knew and respected from the "old" and true Trizzera. But unfortunately, there are limits that not even good will can overcome. After waiting two hours without being served, we left without eating anything. The pizzeria is clearly not capable of handling over 400 covers in an acceptable time frame. In these cases, it would be more appropriate to limit entry rather than ruin the experience for everyone. Better to have fewer customers, but well served, than many and disappointed. The staff was visibly mortified. The management? Absent. In certain situations, we need to have the courage to stand up for ourselves, not pass the buck to those on the front lines. In time, I will give the new Trizzera a new chance, hoping that these suggestions will be heeded. Otherwise (unfortunately) I will have lost a point of reference.

09/09/2025: Overall, a terrible experience. The first courses were overcooked, flavorless, and late; the only good thing was the mussel soup. On a positive note, the waiters were there, especially Giulia, who was very kind and assisted us throughout the dinner. They pointed out several things we hadn't ordered without even apologizing for the incident. The owner (who was at the cash register) and (I presume) his wife immediately became annoyed with us because we wanted to split the bill Roman style. Not recommended.

22/08/2025: Our day began with the counter attendant telling us, in these exact words: "Go get that piece in your country in Africa." It was a terrible experience. We were treated with extreme rudeness and a total lack of respect. The owner, the counter attendant, and the cashier served us with discriminatory attitudes, paying no attention to our requests for allergies or cultural and religious reasons. The staff's behavior was offensive and unacceptable: in addition to giving us products we weren't allowed to consume, we felt we were being treated racistly. A truly unpleasant and discriminatory incident that should never happen in a public place.

13/12/2025: Very authentic place. I ended up grabbing food here almost daily. Over time, the staff got used to seeing me and became more and more open and friendly, which made the place feel genuinely local. The selection is very large, and the food is consistently good, so it never got boring. It naturally became my first stop in the neighborhood whenever I was hungry. Simple, reliable, and authentic.

07/11/2025: We went in to buy some bread like a bun. Which was delicious. We didn't ask for cold cuts or cheese. Just bread....nothing else. There was a little boy at the cash register, who knows 🤔 how old he was. A Sicilian boy... But it's certain that cutting is in his blood. He gave back 1 euro less, he gave a million change so that you, as a tourist, wouldn't be able to track how much you get back... We noticed him on the street...but we didn't go back, karma is also in Sicily...so go for it, boy 👍🏼 If you do this a lot, it won't be good in the long run! 😎 Dear Google watcher! My interests and those of others must be taken into account!!!! So that others don't get fooled too!!! They should consider this too!
