27/03/2026: We had a truly wonderful experience at Hotel Carlotta. A relaxing stay, made even more special by the massages and the hot tub, simply beautiful and perfect for complete regeneration. The dinner was excellent, with attention to every detail: refined dishes, authentic flavors, and truly superior quality. Special praise to Chef Gianfranco Cavallo, whose cuisine made the evening unforgettable. Compliments to all the staff for their professionalism and hospitality. Definitely a place we will gladly return to!

22/05/2026: I went to eat three pieces of tavola calda and a beer with my boyfriend, sitting at a table. We paid 15 euros, which was outrageous, as if we were by the sea, or in Taormina; practically a rip-off. The arancini were supposed to be mushrooms and sausage, but they were just mushrooms and béchamel sauce, nauseating. Slow service; there was no one at the counter or at the register, neither when we arrived nor when we left. Never again .

22/05/2026: Terrible place, no service, they leave you waiting at a bar with practically no staff, crazy prices, a hot food 2.60 as if we were on the sea, not to mention the arancini at 4 euros which have absolutely nothing gourmet to advise against

08/11/2025: I ordered two burgers to go, and unfortunately, both were a bit undercooked. My partner didn't mind, but I'd prefer them to be cooked more thoroughly. A little clarification when ordering would have been helpful. In the end, I had to cook the burger at home, and the fries got cold. An experience that, hopefully, will improve in the future.

07/02/2026: The bar is a bit dated and urgently needs renovation. The staff is unfriendly and sometimes rude. Despite being a conveniently located bar, I don't think it's seen a boom. The quality of the products is average to low. I would recommend taking better care of both the interior and exterior. Maintaining and cleaning the exterior is also crucial, especially for attracting customers. Let's hope for a miracle.

08/01/2026: Happy to have rediscovered this place! Mescan is a historic pub in Acireale. I spent many evenings there with friends as a teenager, but then it went into decline and I haven't had the chance to frequent it again. I was skeptical about returning, but I was surprised to find a place that has been reborn, even better than before! The place is still as amazing as it was then, but the food, beers, and overall quality have significantly improved. Their burgers are delicious, with homemade bread and quality ingredients. The service is friendly, helpful, and fast. To this day, it's one of the few pubs in the Catania area that can still call itself such. Prices are in line with the rest of the market, with the difference compared to other places that are adequate for the quality provided. Average cost €20 per person.
