01/08/2025: Terrible experience. The tomato in the Margherita was poor. Making a good Margherita is the foundation. The only positive note was the waitress (not the owner), who was kind and cheerful. I'm sorry to have to leave this review, but it's unfair to offer this type of product considering the price paid.

03/07/2026: The pastries are mass-produced, the prices are average for Salerno, and the service is very welcoming. The street is lined with shops and is 200 meters from the seafront.

29/06/2026: Terrible experience. Rude and unhelpful staff. We had breakfast included with the B&B, but they managed to make us pay for it anyway. The B&B's booking was very clear on what we could get, but they were unclear and, above all, not at all flexible or helpful. Not to mention the fact that I'm celiac and had asked to include a simple gluten-free cookie in the breakfast offer... to make a long story short, they made me pay for it anyway.

08/06/2026: I rarely leave reviews, more so bad ones. But this place served us spaghetti with frozen seafood (I consider a crime, especially when you have waterfront). Do not come here. The grilled seafood was also average at best.

02/06/2026: We've eaten here several times. The pizza is cooked on a real charcoal grill. Superb! The mussels in tomato sauce are also outstanding. We once tried half the menu. Delicious. Atmosphere: very pleasant, not fancy, it's just a beach restaurant, and the staff is very friendly.

08/11/2025: I ordered two burgers to go, and unfortunately, both were a bit undercooked. My partner didn't mind, but I'd prefer them to be cooked more thoroughly. A little clarification when ordering would have been helpful. In the end, I had to cook the burger at home, and the fries got cold. An experience that, hopefully, will improve in the future.

17/06/2026: An amazing bakery with a great selection of Italian pastries and gelato! All the pastries within the cannoli and cream-filled croissants and gelato were absolutely delicious, and everything is freshly made. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely come back! :)

08/01/2026: Happy to have rediscovered this place! Mescan is a historic pub in Acireale. I spent many evenings there with friends as a teenager, but then it went into decline and I haven't had the chance to frequent it again. I was skeptical about returning, but I was surprised to find a place that has been reborn, even better than before! The place is still as amazing as it was then, but the food, beers, and overall quality have significantly improved. Their burgers are delicious, with homemade bread and quality ingredients. The service is friendly, helpful, and fast. To this day, it's one of the few pubs in the Catania area that can still call itself such. Prices are in line with the rest of the market, with the difference compared to other places that are adequate for the quality provided. Average cost €20 per person.

04/08/2026: Good pizza, really good, quality ingredients. Terrible service, repeated orders, arguments between employees, and pizzas arriving more than 30 minutes after the appetizer. The order was lost, and the pizza chefs and waiters argued. Plus, the wrong bill was given at the register. These things can happen, but they ruined a lovely evening.

02/08/2026: Good food and fast service. A few minor oversights are to be expected, but given these high summer temperatures, a few minor lapses are acceptable. When ordering, the staff provide extensive explanations, which is always appreciated. We dined outside because, given the pizza oven, the cool air conditioning isn't noticeable inside, and there's a lot of noise outside, especially from the ambulances leaving from the nearby hospital. I would recommend installing some good fans with water jets in the outdoor dining area; that would make a difference.

14/10/2025: Terrible experience. Extremely slow service, rude and disorganized staff. Poor quality food and watered-down drinks. Chaotic and poorly maintained atmosphere. I definitely won't be returning.
