28/01/2026: Horrible. I've been there a couple of times and always had a good experience, until a few weeks ago, when I stopped by before school and was served a roulade that was completely undercooked, so much so that I had to throw it away. Today I'm going back because they tell me they've improved, but the story repeated itself: it was undercooked and yeasty again. I sincerely hope they take this review as a reason to check the oven temperature more closely and make sure the food is thoroughly cooked.

01/09/2025: We had lunch at 2:00 PM on Monday. A first and second course, typical local food, good and affordable. Friendly service. Recommended.

11/05/2026: Basically, the way I sat down made me get up. I can't even clean a table for two because you seem to be disturbing them at 7:30 PM. It only took me 5 seconds to sit down to realize that was already too much, and luckily I didn't take anything 🦧

22/04/2026: A place I've frequented extensively in the past. I'll gladly return, although I was disappointed by the inappropriate management change during my dinner in April 2026. The music and atmosphere have retained their identity, but the rest leaves much to be desired. I'm sorry to have to write this down because I'm fond of this place and hope this review will be taken as constructive criticism rather than gratuitous denigration. The menu and service are excellent. Good luck.

14/10/2025: The only thing that stands out is the lady who works at the tobacconist's, she's very kind. As for the female bartender and the boy who works the shift with the bartender, both of them need a smile course and a crash course in greeting when the customer comes in. As for the food, it's excellent, the pastry shop is excellent.

31/05/2026: The only saving grace was the green circumstance... and it was the only bar open on a Sunday. They were arguing among themselves, 4 euros for a drop of stale prosecco, and not even two chips to go with it... we weren't expecting an aperitif, but we had to buy the chips separately. When we made this observation, NOT A COMPLAINT, we were met with the following response: if you have to complain, the owner is out there, I'm an employee... an employee to whom I wanted to leave a tip, not for the service but because I was upset to see the other colleague treating her badly in front of us (for work reasons). As soon as he answered us, I closed my wallet and pointed out that we were just asking if 4 euros for such a small amount of prosecco didn't even include two chips... it would have been enough to respond politely. At the end of the "aperitivo," we said our goodbyes (obviously without a response) and left.

31/05/2026: Total disorganization at the port. Terrible experience. The restaurant is located at the port, but its location doesn't justify such shoddy management. We waited a full hour for our pizzas, and to make matters worse, they arrived incorrectly. Adding insult to injury, the quality was truly poor, with decidedly undercooked dough and a pizza that was anything but good. The music choice also made the entire evening even more annoying and intolerable: a decidedly improbable playlist, played at such a high volume that it was impossible to even exchange a few words at the table. Inattentive service, disappointing cuisine, and a chaotic atmosphere. We absolutely won't be returning.

31/05/2026: What can I say?! Horrible experience. Over an hour of waiting for horrible pizzas, some wrong, some served raw, truly shameful. Not to mention the music—a DJ in a pizzeria, at ungodly volumes and with a selection that would make even the most vulgar Italian slob cringe. One of the worst experiences of my life.

07/10/2025: A corner café on one of Pianura's busiest streets. Excellent croissants, fast and friendly service. They also have a tobacconist.

05/06/2025: Ho pranzato due domeniche fa in questo buon ristorante situato nel centro della città, dietro la Via Etnea. Sono rimasto molto soddisfatto dalla qualità del cibo proposto e dal servizio veloce e cortese (dal momento che purtroppo avevo l'aereo a breve). Ho preso maccheroni alla norma, cotoletta e torta al limone. Il ristorante ha una ricca carta di pietanze sia di carne che di pesce. Mi sento di consigliarlo a chi viene in città, considerando che non è facile trovare nella zona ristoranti altrettanto buoni. Spero io stesso di tornarci presto.

24/01/2026: After a delay of more than two hours from the time agreed with Just Eat, the restaurant even misplaced your phone. Unacceptable, you deserve to be kicked off the circuit. Of course, you can take everything back when you arrive.

27/04/2026: Waiting outside for a waitress who never showed up. Ordered two strawberry granitas. Too grainy. And a brioche. 8.50 euros. Never again for granitas.

25/04/2026: The barista was very kind, and the ice cream was plentiful and delicious. I'll be back!

02/04/2026: i am really sorry to have to place a negative review. It should be clear that if I welcome somebody in my own bar I don't consider him or her a thieve. Well, that is what I felt, with common areas under camera surveillance. You either keep a bar or a police station, or some kind of public area with delinquents going in and out. Fitting cameras in a bar is a very cheap and demonizing way of treating a guest who comes to your country to discover culture, bring knowledge, share experiences and bring money...so why do it? I think it is really foolish to run a business this way! as if I guests are potential thiefs...so why not have scanners or indeed stop and search guests before they enter the accommodation...we are all slowly slipping back to fascism...I think this is the biggest danger and not a teaspoon that might slip in somebody's suitcase! it was surprising that when I went to pay at the desk the guy never made a receipt. He should place a camera above the desk to film his own disonesty. This is why Sicily is in the way it is. People on the island say they pay too much taxes...yes, I understand why...because some who feel more clever than the others don't pay!

06/12/2025: I went there for breakfast at the hotel. I had a cappuccino, a croissant and a sandwich. I had to pay for the second cappuccino because the hotel only paid for three things. They actually charged me €3.50 after hearing that I was from Germany. Definitely €2 or €2.50, okay. But €3.50 is a bit excessive.

11/10/2025: Maurizio was very kind and welcoming. The caponata was the best I've tasted in the Aeolian Islands, and the stuffed squid with sauce was wonderful! Thank you.

05/10/2025: For the owner alone this restaurant is worth a visit. Such a lovely and engaging man, who spoke Italian, English and German with us. The food is delicious and though on the pricier side, portion size and quality justify it. We had the best seafood noodles here. (Sadly I only have a photo of the empty shells)

19/05/2026: Our stay was a complete success, only the weather wasn't quite on our side :) The staff was very friendly. We had a starter and main course and were very satisfied. The tuna was cooked rare, just as ordered. The price-performance ratio was perfectly fine.

13/05/2026: We had an Italian breakfast on the terrace (free as it was included in the price of our rental, the Marconi b&b) which was satisfactory.

06/05/2026: Food that tastes like medicine, bread that feels like rubber. I didn't like it.

06/05/2026: The place is decent, the service is good, but the food sucks. I had some bread that tasted like medicine or chamomile tea, the pasta was decent, the fries were frozen and almost raw, while the schnitzel tasted like bread and had very low-quality meat. Plus, the forks bent easily.
