11/11/2025: The restaurant is run by an Italian and a Polish woman (both serving customers). The menu is in Polish. It's tucked away in a quiet area. It's quiet and peaceful. Plenty of tables. The food is delicious, just like in Italy. I highly recommend it.

10/11/2025: The ambiance is wonderful, located in a dreamy area, very close to the Greek Theatre of Taormina, and across from the small Church of San Domenico. The atmosphere is very welcoming; there are always musicians wandering around the restaurants, adding a vibrant touch to the dining experience. I enjoyed the food; I tried three dishes: eggplant parmigiana, pasta with shrimp, and grilled clams. My favorite was the grilled clams.

06/01/2026: A certainty. I confirm my previous review. I returned shortly before Christmas and enjoyed the chef's dishes for four evenings. Given the particularly rough seas during those days, which is always a factor when craving fresh fish, I opted for meat dishes. So, ricotta ravioli with pork sauce (excellent), spaghetti with Sicilian pesto (my favorite, ordered twice), and mezze maniche alla norma. For main courses, traditional pork (lean, tender, and flavorful), black pig sausage (I specifically asked the chef to make it crispy), and rabbit Ragusa-style. For side dishes, I chose spinach, oil, and lemon, and grilled zucchini. On the last evening, at the chef's recommendation, I ordered grilled cuttlefish and was tempted by the chips (with the skin). For dessert, on two evenings, I opted for cassatina and always finished with an excellent passito. On two evenings, the chef's homemade bread was available. Regarding wines, I had the Frappato on two evenings, the Etna red once, and the last time the organic Inzolia. The average price was €65; since I was alone, the wine always determined the price. Thanks to the helpfulness of the people at the adjacent tables, I was able to have pleasant conversations, relying on Google Translate for my poor English.

22/08/2025: Our day began with the counter attendant telling us, in these exact words: "Go get that piece in your country in Africa." It was a terrible experience. We were treated with extreme rudeness and a total lack of respect. The owner, the counter attendant, and the cashier served us with discriminatory attitudes, paying no attention to our requests for allergies or cultural and religious reasons. The staff's behavior was offensive and unacceptable: in addition to giving us products we weren't allowed to consume, we felt we were being treated racistly. A truly unpleasant and discriminatory incident that should never happen in a public place.

19/12/2025: The exceptional kindness of the girl at the counter, the central location, and the deliciousness of the rotisserie have quickly made it our favorite diner in Avola. Not to mention the very fair prices, which never hurts. Keep up the good work! We've already recommended you to friends and family, and we'll be back during the holidays for scacce and other treats. 16/11/2025: The young waiter speaks English and the location is very good; those are the only two positive points. Tourist trap!! €19 for a small beer with an Aperol Spritz and an orange and mozzarella. The food was quickly reheated in the microwave. Taste-wise: like it had already been eaten. No toilet paper in the restroom, nor anything to dry your hands with. The soap had clearly been diluted countless times. Prices aren't listed anywhere; I think everyone gets a different price. The bill doesn't even specify what each item costs... There's another restaurant just down the street...

19/10/2025: Even though I live nearby, I'd never tried this restaurant, and I have to agree with all the other positive reviews: I went there tonight, and right from the moment I was greeted, I sensed the helpfulness and courtesy. It wasn't crowded, but I preferred it because it wasn't noisy, and we chatted pleasantly, even interacting with another customer already there. Everyone is very attentive, smiling, and polite; I felt "pampered": they offered us bruschetta as an appetizer, very tasty dishes and just the right amount; the fried food was delicate and not at all heavy. We tried both Chinese and Italian dishes and didn't leave anything on our plates! And last but not least, the fortune cookies! ♥ Everything was perfect, with attention to detail. The place is simple, rustic, with charming placemats, but above all, clean and tidy. What can I say? We'll definitely be back; a lovely discovery right on our doorstep!
