Descending from Etna Nord on July 4, 2026, we stopped by Milo to see Battiato and Dalla's house.
Their statues dominate the square, next to this lovely Bar Pasticceria with a well-stocked display case featuring the house's star, the Cassatella made with their own shortcrust pastry and a fantastically fresh ricotta.
Compliments to Mr. Salvo, who was very friendly.
Kind and polite staff, congratulations.

Excellent quality, but the management and service are a nightmare. What a shame!!
We're really torn about writing this review. If we were to judge only the quality of the products, we'd give it a very high rating: everything we ate was truly excellent and well-prepared. Unfortunately, however, the experience was completely ruined by TOTAL disorganization on the part of the management and the overly distracted staff...
Here are the critical points we encountered during the evening:
- Customer abandonment:
No one notices you. We had to wait forever just for someone to come and clean the table left dirty by previous customers and take our order.
- Biblical wait times:
More than an hour passed between placing our order and the arrival of the Sicilian pasta.
- Disastrous service:
The dishes for the same table arrived at completely different times (some had already finished when others had yet to receive their dishes). As if that weren't enough, some orders were incorrect and others were completely forgotten: after an interminable wait, you can't just say, "Sorry, the granita is melted and I can't serve it to you!" If he had let us know in advance, we wouldn't have waited in vain.
The most painful aspect is the manager: constantly glued to the cash register, he seems completely impervious to the repeated and glaring disruptions that occur before his eyes. The strong impression is that the sole objective is to exploit the constant flow of customers, completely ignoring the quality of service and customer care.
Having excellent products isn't enough if the ABCs of hospitality and organization are missing.
A shame, really!

Top ambiance... Tables in a beautiful Sicilian square, that of Belvedere di Milo, under the fragrant lime trees that make everything more relaxing and sensual.
Excellent food... The best Sicilian pizza in the Catania province, the delicious mulberry granita, the sublime ricotta stars, the delicious cookies with pumpkin jam. The coffee is amazing. Don't go, please, otherwise we won't find a table 😂😂

Great outdoor terrace with views of the sea and Mount Etna, large open space in front of the building. Parking available. When we were there on June 14th, they were having a church festival with music, dancing, and a market stall.
Good ice cream and cake. Inexpensive.

The cipollina is delicious, and the pastries are equally delicious. I recommend trying it. There's also a large viewing terrace nearby where you can sit and relax.

Super nice coffee and small sweets, good stop on the way to Etna
It's located on the way to the north side of Mount Etna. I recommend stopping by on your way there or back. You won't regret it. The delicacies and pastries are truly delicious! And the produce is fresh!
