13/11/2025: Granduca in Taormina is one of those restaurants that instantly makes you feel like you’re in the heart of authentic Italian and Sicilian culture. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere stood out. The décor, the lighting, and the overall vibe create a very cozy environment that feels both welcoming and lively. If you’re lucky enough to get a seat on the balcony, the view is truly beautiful and adds an extra layer of charm to the whole dining experience. One of the things we loved most about Granduca is the strong Italian character of the place, especially with the traditional Italian pizza oven on display. It gives the restaurant a genuine, local touch and brings an element of tradition that you don’t find everywhere. It also sets the tone for the food quality, which did not disappoint. The menu offers a very good variety of classic Italian and Sicilian dishes, along with an excellent selection of drinks. We tried a couple of different pastas and pizzas, and everything we ordered was delicious. The flavours were well balanced, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the portions were satisfying without being overwhelming. It’s the kind of food that truly reflects the region’s culinary pride. Customer service was fair and generally pleasant, though there is room for improvement. Staff were polite and helpful, but service could be a bit more attentive considering how busy the restaurant gets. Overall, Granduca is a great choice in Taormina if you’re looking for excellent food, a warm atmosphere, and a wonderful Italian dining experience. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely return.

27/09/2025: Good morning, today after years I went to the Magri bar on the viale, I have to say that I was disappointed, to bring two granitas and two breakfasts the girl made 4 trips, not to mention the wrong taste of the granita and one of the two brioches that arrived late, the granita inedible, the pistachio that tasted of nothing, rude and absent staff, everyone annoyed, the only smiler was the girl at the cashier with glasses, never again!

09/11/2025: If Sicilian hospitality were to be judged by this bar, I can confidently say it would be a pipe dream: listless waiters, backstage arguments, and bad moods that almost make you feel not only out of place but obligated to apologize for disturbing them. The girl with the unspeakable braid: bordering on rude, crude, unkind, and decidedly out of place. This isn't Sicily, and this bar only lives up to its name, failing to live up to it.

09/11/2025: After watching Chef's Table on Netflix two years ago, I promised myself I'd come to Noto specifically to try the products at Caffe Sicilia. I was expecting the granita al caffè to be a revelation. Unfortunately, the taste of this granita was particularly awful. Too much sugar, and the aroma of freeze-dried coffee, very far from what I had imagined this product to be. We had a pastry, which was average. The ice cream was decent: Oro and Etna mango. I had a much better granita this morning in Syracuse. What a shame.

19/11/2025: The prices are reasonable. Their burger and pizza place is also good. I've been here a few times, but my last experience was terrible. We asked the waitress to check on our table five times. Each time, she said she was coming and went to the tables next to us, but she didn't even look at us. WE ASKED FIVE TIMES. Finally, I went in and ordered a ham sandwich, and the result was a terrible stomachache that night. The waitress' experience was particularly upsetting. I hope they'll be more careful.

22/04/2025: Die Küche hat ihre Highlights (Lamm) und ihre Lowlights (kalter Fisch serviert). Das Service ist bemüht, kommt aber nicht wirklich über einen mittleren Standard hinaus. Was uns nicht gefallen hat war die Atmosphäre. Man sitzt in einem in die Jahre gekommenen Wintergarten und das Lokal wirkt kalt. Hier scheinen auch nur Touristen zu speisen und keine Einheimischen, was wir in Italien nie als gutes Zeichen erlebt haben.

14/04/2025: Cenamos aquí por mi cumpleaños y tuvimos una noche muy encantadora. Las mesas de la pequeña terraza de la azotea están en un lugar muy romántico, con la cumbre del Monte Etna justo visible sobre los antiguos tejados. Fuimos muy bien atendidos por el personal y las opciones de comida y vino fueron algunos de los mejores que probamos en Taormina.

22/08/2025: Our day began with the counter attendant telling us, in these exact words: "Go get that piece in your country in Africa." It was a terrible experience. We were treated with extreme rudeness and a total lack of respect. The owner, the counter attendant, and the cashier served us with discriminatory attitudes, paying no attention to our requests for allergies or cultural and religious reasons. The staff's behavior was offensive and unacceptable: in addition to giving us products we weren't allowed to consume, we felt we were being treated racistly. A truly unpleasant and discriminatory incident that should never happen in a public place.

07/12/2025: I've been to Pizzeria Kaleidos and I have to say it was a truly fantastic experience. The pizza is incredible: light dough, perfectly cooked, and super-fresh ingredients. Every bite confirms the quality and care with which it's prepared. The appetizers are also truly worth it: delicious, plentiful, and made with quality ingredients, perfect for starting the evening off right. And then... the sandwiches! They're truly amazing: incredibly tasty, rich, and made with excellent ingredients. The most original thing is that they're named after planets, a fun and engaging idea that makes them even more special. If you go to Kaleidos, I absolutely recommend trying the Illumino and Stella sandwiches, two true masterpieces. As for the pizzas, there are a few that I think are truly worth it: the Pistarock, the Grandine, the Porcellina, and the Asinella. All are delicious and prepared with great care. The place is clean, tidy, and smells wonderful, and the attention to detail is evident: plates and cutlery are always spotless, which is truly a pleasure. The staff is very welcoming, and the owners are wonderful, kind, and passionate about their work. Another thing that makes Kaleidos special is the choice of different types of flour for the dough: traditional, semi-whole wheat with 5 grains, kamut, hemp, tumminia, and russello. A wide, high-quality selection allows everyone to find the perfect pizza. And to finish off on a high note, the desserts are a must: from the fantastic Kinder Bueno cheesecake to the classic tiramisu, the delicious red velvet, and many other desserts that change frequently and always surprise. In short, I recommend Pizzeria Kaleidos to everyone: it's a beautiful, welcoming place where the food is excellent, from top-notch pizzas to delicious appetizers, amazing sandwiches, and spectacular desserts. The quality products and atmosphere make you want to return time and time again. And remember: if you want to eat well, you have to go to Pizzeria Kaleidos!
