L'atmosfera conviviale, la passione , la ricerca degli ottimi ingredienti locali fanno di questo ristorante uno degli ultimi avamposti di cultura del cibo . La location è inoltre degna di nota poiché Il piano inferiore del locale è una grotta . Prezzo adeguato alla qualità.

26/05/2024: A hidden gem on a narrow one-way street in Lentini, A Maidda serves up a wonderful dining experience that I'm fortunate to have stumbled upon. Beyond the front section and its tables are tunnels which Executive Chef Salvatore says was used by Greeks of antiquity to escape enemies when the city was under attack. Today, they keep wine safe from Sicily's summer heat; a no less important task. I went with a few friends and left the evening's selection to the Salvatore. He presented a four course meal that began with an antipasto of seasonal vegetables: Pepperoni, caponata, zucchini, and artichoke hearts amongst others. A trio of pasta dishes followed as the primi: fusilli flavored with pesto, pistachio, and eggplant with mint. Sausages of wild pork drizzled with balsamic came out next as the secondi. Traditional Sicilian cannoli were dessert with a digestif homebrewed by the chef from a native plant that struck me as a cross between wild sage and mint. It was sweet, but strong. Imbibe responsibly. And naturally, espresso was served last because drinking coffee at 11pm is what Italians do. When in Rome I guess. It was a lovely meal and I intend to return soon to try the chef's speciality, linguine with blood orange and tuna.

11/08/2024: I returned to Gradisca after 28 years full of emotions and I chose to come to the fiefdoms where the emotions have significantly increased, a welcome from other times, an enchanting place immersed in peace, excellent food and wine, truly a fantastic experience to absolutely repeat, perhaps by booking a room The owner is a wonderful person!! Many compliments indeed

30/07/2024: Beautiful and relaxing place; very friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend this place, both for staying, for eating, for buying fresh, quality products including cured meats, vegetables, melons; Excellent breakfast and much more.

11/08/2024: Located on the TMB route. Very good service and a very good meal in the evening at the hotel restaurant. The setting is obviously superb, proximity to Mont Blanc obliges 🙂 Good breakfast including regional products. Also note for hikers the presence of a water point and an ATM a hundred meters further down the street

09/08/2024: Clean and welcoming hotel. Friendly staff. Excellent and plentiful breakfast with homemade cakes and tarts. Also recommended is the restaurant open for both lunch and dinner except on Mondays. The only flaw is the lack of a mini bar in the room.

24/07/2024: Dined here with some friends and had an amazing experience. There are many very special personal touches from the chef and his life seen through the music, plating, decor, and of course food. I loved the dishes that were inspired by the memories of his childhood. The service is excellent. There is an open kitchen and I can see the chefs are very dedicated and passionate about their work. Wait staff is so nice and attentive. I forgot my purse in the restroom and they were so nice to stay open later and meet me so I can retrieve it!

23/07/2024: Locale accogliente, minimal, con ampia cantina. Personale impeccabile, educato, gentile, informale ma professionale. I pochi tavoli permettono loro di seguire i clienti alla perfezione. Unico menù “ Mister Brown” spettacolare con innumerevoli portate in sequenza veloce ma non eccessiva. La prima parte snack da mangiare con le mani, poi i secondi di carne e pesce, poi i primi e infine il dolce e la piccola pasticceria. Tutte le portate molto particolari, con un impiattamento originale, ingredienti gustosi e abbinamenti stravaganti.

29/08/2024: Inadmissible. All the restaurants we visited in Florence accepted us with our dog (an adorable Golden Retriever). The restaurant refused our reservation inside because of the children supposedly even though we were very early and the restaurant was empty. A lack of knowing how to live and be a waitress. Avoid if you are accompanied by your pet!

15/08/2024: Locale elegante ma molto accogliente, personale gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, una vera sorpresa. Qualità delle materie prime eccellente, ampia scelta sia di carne che di pesce, piatti preparati alla perfezione che coniugano tradizione e innovazione. Già nel cestino del pane si trovano una ampia scelta e ricercatezza. Oltre alle nostre portate abbiamo potuto assaggiare da e entree di benvenuto e un sorbetto. Abbiamo optato per due antipasti (tartare di ricciola e gamberi con melone al curry), un primo (paccheri), un secondo (tonno in crosta su gazpacho), due dolci. Tutto ci ha sorpreso ed entusiasmato per la bontà! Ampia scelta nella carta dei vini, porzioni adeguate. I prezzi non sono contenuti, alcuni piatti ampiamente sopra la media e forse un tantino cari (antipasti a 28€ e dolci a 10€) ma la qualità è indiscutibile e giustifica i prezzi alti. CONSIGLIATISSIMO!

10/08/2024: Lovely place that offers dishes with incredible flavors of Eritrean cuisine. I have dined here several times and have always been satisfied, from the starters (I recommend both the meat and vegetarian sambusas), to the main courses, to the desserts (of which the sesame one is my favourite). The staff is kind and welcoming, the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, perfect for a date. The vegetarian options vary according to the season and are delicious, nothing to envy of their carnivorous counterparts. The level of spice and spiciness is adequate even for an unaccustomed palate.
