21/04/2026: We’ve been to this restaurant four times in a row for dinner, and it’s been the best decision. The ingredients are always fresh, there’s a different daily special every day, and the waiter who served us could answer all our questions and even recommend places to visit as a tourist. If we ever go back to Sicily I’m sure we’re gonna visit this place again.

26/05/2026: This was a great find, coming from a city of live music lovers (Glasgow, Scotland) this was an excellent evening. The service was excellent, with extremely friendly and attentive staff. The food was great, but the point of this place is the experience. Having good food and good music for the evening, was perfect. A must for anyone visiting Bologna that enjoys live music.

02/02/2026: An excellent vocational school offering our students, fresh out of middle school, the opportunity to learn professions such as hairstylists, beauticians, pastry chefs, bakers, restaurant and waiters, chefs, and graphic designers. A strict selection process with limited places is available for new classes, for truly motivated and determined students. Excellent teachers and professionals from all fields are available and professional. Recommended for those with learning disabilities. In addition, the school has a brewery where you can sample excellent craft beers in the adjoining pub.

26/12/2025: Christmas 2025 for four. We chose the Christmas lunch deal and had a truly wonderful time. From the valet parking, to the service (adequate and attentive), to the food (excellent and plentiful), and even the price (lower than other options), it was more than justified. In short, money well spent!! We'll gladly return.

09/06/2026: Tonight we had the delicate, delicious, and flavorful zucchini, the delicious, balanced, and perfectly cooked turbot, and the elderflower, lemon, and black cherry sorbet, which was a real treat. The gin was superb! Thank you all for always making us feel so pampered.

I write these words with a hint of melancholy, after returning to what for me, since time immemorial, has been not just a restaurant, but a true refuge. I've been coming to Rucola since I was a boy; it saw me become a man, a husband, and a father. It's where I've celebrated the most important milestones in my family, from my children's first communion, with the certainty that we would be welcomed not as customers, but as longtime friends. Yesterday, sadly, I strongly felt the absence of what made this place special: Biagio's warm and ever-present welcome. The memories of Maurizio's Inter Milan that colored the shelves. That historic cuisine, made of unchanging flavors that tasted of home and security. Food is important, but the owners' smile was the secret ingredient that completed every dish. Entering La Rucola meant disconnecting from everything and feeling protected by a management team that put their heart and soul into it. ​I want to send a heartfelt greeting to all the people who have shaped the history of this restaurant and to all the customers who, like me, shared a part of their journey at those tables. 19/04/2026: What a shame, high expectations, but nothing in and of itself. The waiters bicker among themselves, thinking the customers don't see their tantrums... Snobbish, arrogant, and falsely polite. Not to mention the receptionists, unsuitable and lacking a minimum of attention and professionalism; for a 3-star hotel, having unqualified staff is a serious problem. The breakfast is minimal, things are moved almost every day; the day before you find things in one place, the next in another... There's no attention, not to mention some waiters who are certainly more attentive than others. The "maître d'" (if you can call him that) is unprofessional; he thinks he works in a trattoria, but instead he works in a 3-star hotel. The attire and hairstyle were completely unprofessional for a maître d' (one day he was a pizza chef and the other a waiter, completely wrong and unprofessional, especially since the day he made the pizzas, they were pretty awful). The other waiters were much better dressed and professional; I don't know how the maître d' became a maître d'... The perfumery, on the other hand, was decidedly better, with courteous and attentive staff. It's a shame about the hotel staff, who were unprofessional and arrogant.

09/05/2026: A pleasant and surprising surprise, an experience worth trying. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully furnished. But the cuisine offered, despite its simplicity, is of excellent quality and very carefully prepared. An experience worth repeating. We'll be back. Thank you very much.

07/05/2026: Very attentive and friendly staff. When we arrived soaking wet after a rainy day on our bikes, the hostess took excellent care of us. The room was very clean, and dinner was beautifully presented and delicious. The self-service breakfast in the communal kitchen was well-prepared and offered a good variety of options. We appreciated the secure and safe storage of our bikes in the bike garage. We would gladly recommend this accommodation.

11/04/2026: We found it by chance. It was packed. We asked for a table for two and they found us a small table in 10 minutes. The food was super fast and delicious. The pizzas were made with all-natural ingredients and the mussels were amazing. The service was very friendly. Prices are cheap compared to other restaurants in the area. 100% recommended.
