11/01/2026: When we're in Castiglioncello, we happen to stop by this restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, as is the owner, who knows how to cater to her customers' every need. The desserts are excellent.

25/03/2026: Known as the oldest restaurants in Florence, people come here for the ambience and the steak. From the second I entered, I had top-notch service by the owner and my waiter. The sage gnocchi is to die for. I also had the florentine steak for one, which is A LOT but worth it! The ambience here is great too, I wish they had some quiet music playing in the background though, it was very quiet when it had opened at 7 pm and people started dining.

16/12/2025: Considering you're in a unique part of Tuscany, full of stimuli and unique flavors, a restaurant with that kind of cuisine is an insult to the region. Bland dishes served at the temperature limit due to the countless elaborate dishes; the entrée is a waste of time. I won't dwell on the dishes and will simply say absolutely nothing. A woman in the kitchen who sits all evening allegorically recalling the cuisine of the past when there's absolutely nothing of the past. The staff is kind, with a thousand thoughtful touches, sometimes even cloying. Regarding the wines, when I asked a very simple question—"A local organic or biodynamic wine?"—three of them completely lost their minds. My only regret is that I drove 1.5 hours to get there. My last statement: stop looking for stars that have become obsolete; go to the fields and shops to seek out quality raw materials.

03/11/2025: The interior and furnishings are all tasteful, but the food here is probably the worst in Italy. The only edible food is bread and butter, and you can't try anything else! The kitchen hood is terrible, and all the smells spill into the dining room, which is also a big minus. I definitely won't be coming back. The price is astronomical 🤬🤬🤬

09/02/2026: Pleasant lunch, good food and attentive and kind service

25/02/2026: Pros: Large pool complex, very friendly and helpful staff, plenty of linens, cleanliness. Cons: The details. Lack of attention to dietary restrictions, which were stated in writing and repeatedly verbally (use of allergens even if not listed on the menu), even in room amenities. These are serious issues in my opinion (which cost me two days of illness and the resulting cancellation of my plans for those two days). I can't comment on the breakfast buffet because I was too unwell to leave the room and eat. Less serious, but still noticeable, issues are: in the room (suite), an exposed plastic drain in the bathroom and a lack of basic toiletries (obviously not towels, but toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposable soaps, etc.), lack of clear signage (besides me, I saw many guests wandering around asking for information), some areas were decidedly poorly organized (there was no room to leave bathrobes and slippers in the private pool. The indoor loungers were definitely insufficient for the influx of guests.). Leaks and humidity. Which are expected in a spa. But in a 5-star resort. The overall experience is something I'm forced to reject it.. Especially considering the overall cost.. I don't just mean money obviously.

15/02/2026: Overall, the property is worth the price. The receptionists, hotel, bar, and restaurant staff are impeccable. Professional and reliable. I'm a satisfied customer. I'd like to leave a hopefully constructive comment about the restaurant: we've been to your other properties (ex Grotta Giusti) and were completely satisfied with the food. Unfortunately, the cuisine at the restaurant at Fonteverde isn't up to par with the property. I'm not saying the food is bad, but it's just not up to par. I hope this comment is constructive, as the property is truly unparalleled and the staff is highly professional. The central bar is absolutely worthy: I've never had such a good drink. For this very reason, it's truly a shame not to elevate the restaurant's cuisine to 5-star standards. We'll definitely be back; we had a great time.

13/10/2025: A nice place with an amazing view. The hosts were very kind and attentive, and the breakfast was amazing.

04/10/2025: It was a very nice stay. Our little dog ran around with the other dogs, alongside goats, a cat, and a peacock. The apartment was nicely furnished. The surroundings were beautiful, with a magnificent view. If we're ever in the area again, we'd definitely stop by again.

25/01/2026: Nice place away from the chaos, the guys are all great... I always feel great when I leave there. We always order the fried pasta (delicious) because the tomato sauce is exceptional; the pizzas are excellent, with beautiful toppings, but I tried the new sandwiches and was amazed! We had the tempura shrimp sandwich (pictured) and the tuna one, delicious, we weren't expecting them. Well done, well done, well done! P.S. The desserts are also very good and highly recommended. (P.S.: The pizzeria has moved from the restaurant, which is now located on Via Romana.)

22/02/2026: We ate at this Osteria in the center of Lucca and had a great time. The food was truly excellent and high-quality. The owner and all the staff were very kind and welcoming. Recommended!

11/01/2026: Without a reservation, drawn only by the elegant ambience, we entered for a couples' dinner at a place you'd recommend to any true friend. The manager (whose name, unfortunately, I didn't ask) was attentive, welcoming, and empathetic, bordering on embarrassing for a skeptical Genoese like myself. Pumpkin tortelli 10, ravioli lucchesi 10, duck breast 10... if there had been room left in my stomach, I can imagine what the desserts would have been like. Catering, and indeed any profession in general, should always be conducted according to these pillars of passion, courtesy, and dedication. Congratulations, Marco & Eva

15/03/2026: I went there for lunch. I had well-prepared fish. The service was very fast, and there was prosecco and a welcome appetizer. Parking was easy, and the bill was good! Good olive oil is a given!

09/03/2026: We waited 60 minutes for a pizza after ordering. Total disorganization, the pizza is good, the atmosphere is okay, although it's very crowded, voices echoing throughout the rooms, and chaos reigns. High prices, no service.
