04/01/2026: My favorite dish is the seafood paccheri, and the desserts have never disappointed me either. The place is beautiful, but when I go, I prefer not to eat in the central area, where you can see the kitchen, because it's very busy, with the constant passing of waiters and people going to the bathroom making it a bit chaotic. The sofas on the right are much better, not to mention the rooms further back where relaxation is guaranteed. While the service has sometimes been less than impeccable, the food has never disappointed. Worth a try.

16/01/2026: A restaurant in the center of Cuneo with a very welcoming atmosphere, professional and courteous service, and excellent quality dishes, both in terms of the use of raw materials and the execution. We ate various cuts of hand-chopped raw meat and a bone-in fillet seasoned with a Worcestershire-style sauce that was simply fabulous. A restaurant that showcases the finest Piedmontese meat. Prices are in line with the quality offered. Highly recommended.

01/12/2025: This was our second stay at La Madernassa, having first discovered it in the spring. The rooms are in a renovated farmhouse dating back to 1865. There's a small garden where you can sit when the weather is nice, with a view of Alba. Dinner is served 100 meters away in the hotel's own restaurant. The location is stunning, with breathtaking views of the entire Western Alps. The food is fantastic, incredibly creative, and made with high-quality ingredients. The service is top-notch, and the wine list is extensive and excellent. Breakfast is served the following morning. Everything is absolutely delicious and of the highest quality. For me, it offers excellent value for money. Add to that the friendliness of all the staff. We'll definitely be back. See you next time!

03/01/2026: The restaurant reopened last year after being closed for a few years. I'm not sure if it was under new management, but the current one has done a great job! The atmosphere is welcoming and quiet, and the soft lighting combined with a lovely fireplace (lit! 😉) create a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. The service is always precise and professional, and we developed a rapport with the staff, who were fun to chat with, beyond the usual routine. The dishes are good; I was satisfied with the tagliatelle with venison ragù and the veal fillet with three peppercorns. The tiramisu, however, despite its beautiful presentation, wasn't matched by its adequate flavor; I found it too lacking in sweetness, and the way it was assembled made it difficult to enjoy.

19/12/2025: My husband and I have been talking about leaving this review for months since we visited Davide’s establishment in October, because it was that memorable! From the moment we arrived, Davide was incredibly welcoming, humble, and genuinely sweet. He immediately took care of us, setting the tone for what became one of the most intimate and memorable dining experiences of our entire Italy trip. The restaurant feels like having a private chef — we were the only guests during our seating — and watching the sunset as we began our meal made it even more special. My husband loved his Negroni, which was the perfect start. The first course was an assortment of small bites, each one unique, surprising, and beautifully crafted. And the bread… we’re still talking about the bread. Soft, warm, and perfect. I chose the four-course mushroom tasting menu, and the standout was the mushroom risotto — one of the best dishes I’ve had in years. My husband ordered ‘The Classics’ menu which included veal with tuna sauce, and the handmade Tajarin with pork ragù. He couldn’t stop raving about the pasta, cut by hand and absolutely delicious. Since my tasting menu included one more dish than my husband’s, Davide brought out an extra taste of veal for my husband so that we would have the same amount of plates. Again, incredibly thoughtful. Dessert was just as impressive — we could barely finish because we were so full. We each had our own individual dessert (the Tiramusi was maybe the best we’ve ever had) and then they brought out a plate of small bite desserts, each better than the next. Then they surprised us with an additional treat that said Happy Anniversary. It was such a thoughtful gesture; I had even forgotten I mentioned our anniversary when booking. Funny enough, we almost canceled this reservation because I don’t eat some red meat and initially didn’t think there would be enough options for me. I’m so glad we didn’t — the restaurant is incredibly accommodating, and their vegetable-leaning dishes are outstanding. IO E LUNA is a one-of-a-kind dining experience. It was the highlight of our trip to Italy, and it’s a meal we will remember forever. Highly, highly recommend.

04/01/2026: A beautiful lunch with a view on New Year's Day. We were pleasantly surprised by everything, from the very elegant location to the quality of the products we ate. The meats were excellent, and the appetizers were equally good. We appreciated the welcome and the attention shown to our dog. The staff was friendly and attentive. Even though we didn't order dessert, they still brought us some small pastries to accompany our coffee. We will definitely be back...and have already recommended it to friends! Congratulations.

05/08/2025: We caught the ferry over and walked here, it's up a lot of steps but through the beautiful old part of town with all the picturesque laneways. Clean comfortable good breakfast. Great restaurant recommendation.

12/07/2025: We stayed with Anna (the owner), who was courteous and efficient. The rooms are beautiful, bright, and clean. The location is excellent, quiet, and just steps from the center of the nightlife.

10/01/2026: This is my third visit to Nazionale, and the first time for dinner. Like the two previous visits, I had an incredibly enjoyable experience. The staff is incredibly attentive, and their recommendations (especially regarding wines and cheeses) were both insightful and relevant. Everyone is truly dedicated, and this is reflected in the overall pleasant atmosphere. As for the food, I would say it's not only the best culinary establishment in the region, but also one of the best restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of dining at. The dishes are crafted with an intelligence, attention to detail, and a desire to innovate that has left me speechless on numerous occasions. During our dinner, I had the opportunity to try the Lamb Sambucano, which was a pure delight and an explosion of flavors. But above all, I was (perhaps for the first time in my life) deeply moved by a dish, namely the dessert called "Under the Snow," which touched me with its originality and poetic quality. I was so blown away that I ordered two! It was, once again, a wonderful time spent at Nazionale, and I fully intend to return very soon.
