A good place to eat very close to the palace. Quiet place, friendly staff.

After visiting the Royal Palace of Venaria, I recommend stopping for lunch at this restaurant in the restricted-traffic zone, where you can relax and enjoy a typical local meal. Professional service and good food. I tried the tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, which were truly delicious.

Decent food on Venaria's most picturesque street. Watch out for the prices, which are a bit steep.

Passami il Sale… yes. But please, a little professionalism wouldn't hurt. The setting is pleasant, in a beautiful historic city. The restaurant is clean and the food is decent, even if the portions are rather small. The dishes are good, without being memorable, and the prices are clearly too high for what's served. The young woman, tall, slender, and multilingual, deserves special mention. Smiling, energetic, welcoming, and very professional, she brings real value to the establishment. Unfortunately, everything else is spoiled by the service of two waiters, one of whom wears glasses and gave us the room key. His attitude was nonchalant, unpleasant, almost contemptuous. The plates were placed on the table without a word, with a casualness that is hardly acceptable in an establishment that charges such prices. We truly felt like we were bothering them. We also stayed at the restaurant. The room was adequate, clean, and a reasonable size, without any major flaws, but lacking any particular charm. The breakfast, typically Italian, was simple but satisfactory. Ultimately, this stay left a bitter taste. It wasn't the food or the accommodation that was the problem, but rather the evening service, which was unworthy of an establishment that claims to welcome guests. A good meal can make you forget many things. A poor welcome, however, makes you forget everything else.

We had a wonderful time! Pampered by the kind and knowledgeable staff, we ate excellent food (the braised beef in Barbera and tartare of sakura are a must-try) and drank excellent wine. Highly recommended. P.S.: We paid €55/person for an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert (plus a bottle of Barbera and a glass of Sauvignon).
