We found this restaurant by chance, leaving the Reggia di Venaria. The porcini mushroom tajain and lamb chops were very good. The service was good, though a bit slow.

An excellent dinner; everything we were served was exquisite. The menu is typical of the local area, and everything absolutely lived up to our highest expectations. They have a truly extensive and high-quality wine selection. The venue is very charming, and the friendly and professional staff were courteous and accommodating to all our requests! Suitable for families with children. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, a very friendly young entrepreneur who entertained us pleasantly. The veal with tuna sauce was the best I've ever tasted. A truly brilliant choice that I highly recommend! Thanks for the experience!

Excellent! The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was truly top-quality, and the wine selection was extensive. I had a wonderful meal at the outdoor table in the pedestrian area just steps from the Reggia di Venaria. I highly recommend it, and if I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be back.

Dinner at this delightful and welcoming restaurant in Venaria will be hard to forget. Veal with tuna sauce, butter and sage plin, Barolo risotto, and exquisite and impeccably crafted bonet pasta. The Piedmontese wines recommended to pair with the dishes were perfect. The service was also excellent. Considering the quality of the dishes, I'm more than satisfied. Highly recommended.

We arrived around 12:30 without a reservation, drawn by the menu displayed; the host gave us a table outside. The Piedmontese menu included veal with tuna sauce, agnolotti del plin, braised beef in Barolo, and bonet—all truly delicious! The young and friendly staff, the prices moderate, the cuisine high.

Dinner for two after visiting the Royal Palace of Venaria Reale. The restaurant is strategically located just a few meters from the palace and on the main road. The interior is very charming and welcoming, the service attentive and courteous, the food very good, as was the wine we were recommended. A wonderful experience.

We showed up without a reservation, following AI's advice. The place is very beautiful and well-kept, and the young staff is very attentive and professional. The wine and service were excellent, but the two dishes (appetizers) we chose, although beautifully presented, didn't satisfy us. We didn't order anything else. Overall, it was good, but not excellent.

After visiting the Venaria Reale with my wife and daughter (who was turning 6), we stopped for lunch at this restaurant. The atmosphere is welcoming and spread across two floors; the young staff is courteous and helpful; the menu is full of new and original dishes. We had seared octopus with creamed potatoes and confit cherry tomatoes (delicious), an onion casket with poached egg, Piedmontese toma fondue, and chopped hazelnuts (delicious), followed by gnocchi with Castelmagno fondue, and egg tajarin with porcini mushrooms. The waiters then brought out desserts, and for my daughter, who was turning 6, a small cake with a candle, accompanied by music and happy birthday wishes (which everyone in the room joined in). The price, considering the tourist location, seemed very reasonable. We recommend this restaurant for the courtesy of the staff, the quality of the food, and the fair price.

Hotel Ristorante Del Gallo

28/04/2026: Historic and excellent hotel/restaurant/bar in Corio. I still remember it being run by the parents of the current owners (Bruno and Mrs. Lia) when I was a boy in the early 1970s. I recommend it.
30/03/2026: We stayed here for three nights. This inn is located in Corio, a small, quiet village about 30 km from Turin. This makes it the ideal choice for those seeking relaxation, away from the chaos of the city, especially if you have a car (otherwise, getting around is a bit difficult). The restaurant's food is very good and excellent value. The room is very nice and welcoming. I really appreciated the electric kettle in the room, a simple but very convenient detail. The bathroom also pleasantly surprised me: the hot water comes on immediately, something that's not a given and, personally, I haven't found even in hotels in large cities. The structure is simple and consistent with its surroundings, but precisely for this reason, the value of the experience transcends the small details. An added bonus is the staff. They were kind, attentive, and above all, human. In particular, one evening I had booked dinner but let them know I wasn't feeling well. I was experiencing severe anxiety and couldn't eat, but my mother could. I asked if it was possible to have something simple like a toasted sandwich or a sandwich delivered to our room, but they were truly helpful and welcoming: they reassured us, telling us to choose where we wanted to sit (at the bar or in the dining room) and to order whatever we wanted, even just a herbal tea in my case. They didn't make me feel uncomfortable or inadequate in any way; on the contrary, they put me completely at ease, allowing me to remain calmly at my table without pressure. This is certainly not a predictable attitude, and it speaks volumes about their dedication to their customers. I should also add that they often organize very nice events: we were lucky enough to be there on a Saturday evening when there was a truly unique event, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A place where you can sense care, hospitality, and respect. Recommended for those seeking tranquility and a genuine atmosphere.
