22/03/2025: Finally a starred restaurant that is not just appearance but also a lot of substance, indeed, a refined but very welcoming environment, discreet and very kind staff. Personally I really appreciated the revisitation of dishes and products from Alpago accompanied by an excellent Pinot Noir practically from the place.
We will return perhaps in another season to delight ourselves with a new menu that will surely be a real journey through the somewhat lost flavors of these places that I carry in my heart.

04/03/2025: This cooking class was such a blast! We had a large group of 9 and they were so accommodating to our needs. We truly enjoyed our time there. We tried several delicious olive oils and fresh mozzarella accompanied by wine. The pizza making was instructive and fun. We were given plenty of time to enjoy our pizzas - which were amazing - more wine, and even some tirimisu for dessert. The location is lovely and drive up was fun. This was one of our favorite activities of our whole trip. I highly recommend it if you visit Sorrento!

Chef Luigi gives a fantastic experience that combines education and fun. We were laughing and laughing because he was so light-hearted.
We recorded the amounts and photographed the steps so that we would do them exactly when we returned to the country!

02/03/2025: Ho scelto di festeggiare il compleanno della mia compagna alla Torre del Saracino, dove lavora lo chef Gennaro Esposito uno dei capisaldi della ristorazione Nazionale e Internazionale. Il Menù degustazione da 11 portate è stato un'esperienza mistica, cibo superlativo, di una leggerezza inaudita, enorme padronanza della tecnica e accostamenti poco scontati. In sala il Personale è estremamente professionale e preparato su tutto, dal maitre al sommelier, compresi tutti i ragazzi che lavorano nel ristorante. Uno staff davvero invidiabile, detto da un uomo come me che lavora nella ristorazione da 14 anni!
Cigliegina sulla torta (oltre alla candela per la mia compagna 😅), la premura di accompagnarci con la macchina in stazione a Vico Equense vista la strada in salita che ci aspettava e il brutto tempo! Complimenti a tutti quanti ragazzi, siete un vero esempio di professionalità e umanità! Ci rivedremo sicuramente!

It was a spectacular meal, delicious food, and a calm and pleasant atmosphere. As for the service, it's hard to improve. We came with a friend who's allergic to nuts, and they were super attentive and even brought desserts just for him without charging us extra.
The price, without hesitation, was less than €50 per person. Perfect value for money.
23/03/2025: During our stay in Agrigento 2023, SAL8 was our absolute favorite restaurant! Although there were no tables available at the beginning, we were warmly welcomed with a glass of Prosecco - a really successful start.
The entire experience was first class: from the starter to the main course to the dessert, everything was excellent. Particularly noteworthy is the swordfish with pistachio crust – a culinary highlight!
The service was consistently attentive and friendly, and all at very fair prices. If you are in Agrigento, you should not miss this restaurant – a clear recommendation!

I had the pleasure of dining at the La Scala Restaurant and I must say that it was an unforgettable experience. The evening was special and the impeccable service made everything even more magical.
The barman was simply exceptional, with perfect cocktails that enriched the evening. As for the cuisine, the Catalan was fabulous, with very fresh ingredients and a truly remarkable balance of flavours. The spaghetti with clams was superb, perfectly creamed and tasty at the right point and the mussel soup was delicious.
A restaurant that I absolutely recommend for those who love good food and want to have a high-level gastronomic experience. I can't wait to go back!

02/12/2024: We were a little disappointed due to the outstanding reviews. The ambience is unparalleled and the service is friendly.
But the food only looked great on the menu. My fried potatoes with red cabbage were simple potato pancakes with raw grated red cabbage. This is not a high level of cooking and tasted a bit bland - like raw food.
Still a nice evening, but you shouldn't go here if you appreciate very good food. Then it's better to trust the Michelin Guide.
05/11/2024: Amazing place! The food, the owner who took care of us and the atmosphere were amazing. They welcomed us really nicely and even put a candle on my desert as it was my birthday. We had tuna and octopus and both were beautiful. We also had an appetizer which was super nice and a delicious cheesecake. Highly recommend and book a table for sure as there are only few tables inside.
