27/03/2025: When I return to my homelands I often find myself at a mental crossroads: do I go back to eating in the restaurants of my childhood or try something new? This time, after a lunch at the Da Gigetto Restaurant (Miane), I decided to try a new one that really inspired me. So, after a bit of relaxation - and some toasts - at Poggio Pagnan (Mel), I went to the Michelin Star Locanda San Lorenzo in Puos d'Alpago. It is a restaurant of great historical importance, open for more than 120 years and with a highly respectable gastronomic journey. Since it opened, it has always been managed by the same family who, to this day, sees the latest generation carrying forward this restaurant which blends history, territory and innovation with pride, quality and attention. In the kitchen, in fact, we find Damiano Dal Farra, great-grandson of the founder. The first "hurdle" was the choice of the menu. I was really undecided between the two tasting itineraries and the menu. The second choice won which led me to taste venison dishes and, thanks to the advice and kindness of the room, to also discover a first course based on rabbit which I define without a doubt as SUBLIME; but let's go in order. The venue is elegant, well-kept and refined. Welcoming and warm. The placemat that welcomes the guest has an English aesthetic flavour. The staff is welcoming, competent, cheerful, helpful and, with naturalness and elegance, knows how to immediately put diners at ease. I decided to accompany the courses I chose with two different glasses of wine that the sommelier recommended to me. I started with a winery that I adore and which is difficult to find in the taproom - Marisa Cuomo - and then continued, with the second course, with a red wine that I had never tasted - Camplazens. Wines that paired well with the dishes chosen and which, honestly, really have an excellent quality/price ratio by the glass. And now the dishes… After a welcome that already foreshadowed the great capabilities of the kitchen, I started with a venison steak, hazelnuts, balsamic strawberries and foie gras crème brulée. In addition to the wonderful aesthetics of the dish, on the palate each flavor was truly balanced and stimulated the taste buds. As a first course, the dining room staff recommended Fracasso fusilloni, mountain butter and cacciatora-style farmyard rabbit ragù. I won't hide from you that it was the most exciting dish. It literally blew me away, it was so tasty, balanced and amazing on the palate. I then continued, accompanying it with the red wine I mentioned in the previous lines, with the deer loin flavored with forest smoke, "borsch", sauerkraut and buttermilk. I love when you play with colors that invite and immediately captivate the customer. Here was all this which was the preamble for a truly excellent dish with a great exaltation of the meat used and demonstrating once again the great ability of the chef and his team. To conclude, after a pre-dessert that refreshed and cleansed the mouth, I chose a dessert that blended ingredients that I love very much: coconut namelaka, mint and liquorice sauce and lemongrass ice cream. Imagine the flavors and textures of these foods... everything perfectly found and tasted on the plate. Not to be outdone was also the small pastry shop offered. There is also another aspect that I love and that I have found in every dish I have tasted: the three consistencies. Each dish led the diner to taste both a soft, crunchy and "liquid" part. A characteristic which, combined with the excellent quality of each proposal, the environment and the service, made this dinner truly refined, exquisite and pleasant. Locanda San Lorenzo is worth the trip and it is an experience that I absolutely want to do again.

12/04/2025: The place and the owners are nice, but I had a bad experience with the food. The ‘entraña’ was cold and difficult to eat. The mushed potatoes portion was super small. The ‘flan’, was it really a ‘flan’? The picture says it all. It was a take out and I had to go back to pick up the flan because they forgot to put it in the bag. I was happy to have an argentine restaurant at 20 meters of the apartment, but it was disappointing.
18/03/2025: We had dinner in 3. 1 Entrecote Steak, 1 Lomo and 1 Cappello del Prete. Everything very good and fast service ..... Also good desserts Welcoming atmosphere.

22/04/2025: An excellent dinner, a very elegant venue, we returned after two years, it was confirmed as we remembered it.
22/04/2025: Since it was a little cooler when we visited Sal8, we sat inside on the 1st floor. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait for a table with several other couples. We got a free Prosecco (1 small sip), but had to drink it standing between other tables because it was so tight in the restaurant. In general, the atmosphere is rather cramped and the service seemed very rushed throughout. It would have been nicer to sit on the ground floor, but it was empty. The food was good but not exceptional.

02/03/2025: Ho scelto di festeggiare il compleanno della mia compagna alla Torre del Saracino, dove lavora lo chef Gennaro Esposito uno dei capisaldi della ristorazione Nazionale e Internazionale. Il Menù degustazione da 11 portate è stato un'esperienza mistica, cibo superlativo, di una leggerezza inaudita, enorme padronanza della tecnica e accostamenti poco scontati. In sala il Personale è estremamente professionale e preparato su tutto, dal maitre al sommelier, compresi tutti i ragazzi che lavorano nel ristorante. Uno staff davvero invidiabile, detto da un uomo come me che lavora nella ristorazione da 14 anni! Cigliegina sulla torta (oltre alla candela per la mia compagna 😅), la premura di accompagnarci con la macchina in stazione a Vico Equense vista la strada in salita che ci aspettava e il brutto tempo! Complimenti a tutti quanti ragazzi, siete un vero esempio di professionalità e umanità! Ci rivedremo sicuramente!

31/03/2025: Ho scelto di pranzare presso questo ristorante 1 stelle Michelin dopo aver visto il video di due food blogger (where the foodies go). Pranzo in location stupenda appena fuori il centro di Moena sul pendio della montagna con una vista spettacolare sulle Dolomiti. Il ristorante ha sale intere più rustiche poiché era una malga dell’inizio del secolo scorso e la veranda luminosa e moderna (dove abbiamo pranzato noi). Il personale giovane, preparato e molto attento è sicuramente un plus. Abbiamo speso in tutto 191€ mangiando alla carta. Era possibile fare menù degustazione ma io non mangio carne. Le proposte vegetariane e di pesce sono deliziose. Come un ogni stellato che si rispetti ci hanno accolto con gli stuzzichini di benvenuto (preparati ad hoc in base ai nostri gusti alimentari), pre antipasto, e abbiamo mangiato due antipasti (cappasanta e insalata mista), primo fuori menù del giorno (canederli agli asparagi e crema di puzzone), baccalà in due cotture, pre dolce, crema bruciata ai frutti di bosco e il mio dessert non dolce (il giardino Indiano), piccola pasticceria, acqua e due calici di Nusstraminer. Super super super consigliato per un’esperienza da ricordare.
13/03/2025: Unfortunately, words would not adequately convey the experience at Malga Panna... Excellent raw materials used with care and decorum, enhancing the flavor down to the last bite. The staff are attentive, kind and friendly. Despite having a Michelin star, the prices are very affordable, taking into account that they OFFER VERY GOOD welcomes and final farewells. I absolutely recommend going and trying it.

08/04/2025: And then there is 'O BARETT which among the many clubs in the wonderful streets of my city stands out as does the White Rabbit's Den, a place with attention to the smallest details, very pleasant lights and music, very varied cocktails and all excellently prepared!! The owner and staff are excellent hosts. A gem. You can visit many places in life but you leave your heart to few. GO THERE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!

10/04/2025: A really cosy setting, with lovely music and service throughout. The food options all looked great so it was a shame we could only order three dishes! Super fresh and tangy salads and a delicious soy tuna dish. Also very easy to book over WhatsApp.
