05/07/2025: Beautiful location, also air conditioned. Mushrooms in abundance but average. The dish that stood out was a taste of sheep brought in the appetizer. The pasta is homemade and is good (tagliatella with mushrooms average, ravioli good). At the beginning we had waiting times of about 40 minutes. Scampi with mushrooms for me to abolish. We ate two complete appetizers, three portions of first course, two portions of second course, coffee and gentian. Price €165!!! Really too much!!! Considering that we dined with house wine, the service and the price are not up to that figure!

15/08/2025: Located in a very unusual location, over the years it has lost its class and the quality of its food. The paper tablecloths and napkins are practically transparent, the worst on the market. The menu, on an A4 sheet of paper, is highly questionable because it doesn't list allergens or the asterisks for frozen foods. The waiters don't wear uniform shirts; they're all different. The kitchen is in the restaurant, the tables outside are far apart, and the dishes arrived uncovered by sweat, moths, etc. There were six of us. We were served thawed and re-sautéed chicory, and the industrial-style cheese and egg balls, heavily breaded like Ascoli olives. The service was terrible: a plate of chicory arrives, 15 minutes after the other two chicory dishes, then a plate of potatoes, then the other two. Next came two portions of lamb, then one sliced lamb with arugula, and then the three slices of lamb with porcini mushrooms. In reality, the side dish should come with the meat. The six of us diners were entitled to eat together. In short, the intermittent dishes are not a sign of good organization between the service and the kitchen. The place pretends to be something it's not, but the prices are exorbitant. Not recommended.

26/08/2025: Honestly, we weren’t expecting much as every other restaurant nearby seemed closed (evening) but it was sooo lovely 🥰 the pizza were really good, as for the wine and the service. We had our feet in the sand while dining

19/08/2025: Really good pizza: both the dough and the ingredients. The staff were courteous and professional... which is why it's a real shame that it took about 65 minutes to get a table and a good 40-45 minutes before all the pizzas were served. Be prepared for a long wait... maybe even grab a couple of beers at their kiosk!

08/07/2025: Tamarillo Brillo is one of Lanciano's most popular pubs, located on the hill just beyond the town hall, above the main square. We arrived on time; the owner was a few minutes late, but he greeted us with great kindness, making us feel immediately at ease. Although the equipment still needed to be set up, the service was prompt and the food was good. A positive experience, recommended for a casual evening.

25/06/2025: Thirty years ago the establishment and the restaurant had a single management. Then some changes came about which, first of all, simply changed the ownership leaving the organization unchanged which remained unique then, subsequently, the new owners continued to independently manage the bathing establishment but entrusted the catering to other subjects who changed over the years, sometimes even suddenly. Currently the restaurant is open all year round and offers a good catering service which however, by force of circumstances, is still lacking the excellence that only the perseverance and experience of the staff, well rooted in the place, can offer to customers. I am sure that this last touch will not be long in coming, the perseverance and continuity of management will be enough from which the signals that lead to improvement arrive. The La Caravella establishment deserves a completely different discussion which, thanks to the great and very long experience in the field, provides bathers with an excellent service, amplified by the very strategic position of the business. The owners are always friendly and available to satisfy the customer who is helped both by the parking possibilities and by the ease with which you can reach the place. Excellently accessible to the disabled.
