Serious cuisine, without truffle concoctions or false sophistication. They cook well, classic, good dishes, based on the raw materials, without cheating and cunning, a pleasant environment, compared to the competition I would say, elegant. This time Abruzzo-style lamb, stewed, splendid. Quality cheeses, cabbage and potato side dishes and sautéed chicory, really well done. They're good, period. Nice, elegant place carved into the rock on the top of Ovindoli but you can park nearby. Highly recommended also for average prices in a place well above average.

15/04/2025: Locale molto luminoso con ampie vetrate in una unica e bella sala. Ottimo servizio. Mi aspettavo una cucina del territorio ed ho trovato proposte un poco anonime. L'antipasto aveva di tipico/locale le pallotte cacio e uova al sugo e un piccolo soufflé con zafferano e tartufo, entrambi ottimi. Per il resto prosciutto, formaggio, ricotta buoni ma non indimenticabili. Di primi abbiamo scelto dei paccheri con baccalà e peperone. Nulla di che, pasta al dente e un accenno di sapore di baccalà. Le scelte dei secondi di limitavano ad un paoo di opzioni di carne e il baccalà in umido, forse perché il giorno successivo era quello di chiusura. Na abbiamo fatto a meno. Per i prezzi non posso dire nulla perché sono stato ospite.

03/05/2025: It is a lovely trattoria, located in the historic center of Vasto, in a quiet alley. It has tables both inside and outside. These are large and are set with white cloth tablecloths, which highlight their cleanliness. The staff is friendly and efficient. The dishes are good, well presented and plentiful. In particular, the steak was served to me on a wooden cutting board and was quite tender, of generous proportions, including plenty of rocket, cherry tomatoes and flakes of parmesan. I found the gifts we received upon our arrival pleasant: a non-alcoholic drink and a crouton with pieces of tomatoes and other fresh vegetables. At the end of the dinner we were offered a small chocolate filled with a chocolate liqueur. The cost seemed average to me and we were so satisfied that we booked for the following evening. The only negative inconvenience, for the tables inside, is the sound of the bell with which the manager calls the waiters, which rings repeatedly, also creating stress for the customers.

The food is excellent and the price-performance ratio is excellent. The owners are also extremely friendly, and children are always welcome. Addendum: By the way, for me, the best pizza ever – Pizza Maremoto! A must-try.
