24/08/2024: Very disappointing. We expected good quality given that it had been recommended to us... but.... pasta alla guitar topped with acidic tomato sauce and strange meatballs, I don't know, taste separated, perhaps it hadn't been sautéed in the pan like we do at home.... the second was inedible: a tripe that was supposed to be crunchy was a mushy stuff floating in a watered down sauce, even here the flavors were separated. Gnocchi that tasted of little. The wine chosen on the wine list was good. The service wasn't the best... unprofessional staff... I honestly don't feel like recommending it. Even the owners of the farm where we stayed were there the same evening and told us that it had been terrible and expensive compared to other times. You see...

17/08/2024: I think 3* is right for an overall not negative experience but one that doesn't make you say "wow". You only eat fish, but no dish has personality. The usual appetizer, the usual first course, the usual fried or grilled dish. The fish is fresh (but not all of it, it doesn't matter), but I would have expected something special, a touch or ingredient that would differentiate the offering and not make it a "commodity". I repeat, you don't eat badly but it doesn't make you rich. I also make a note on the chairs which I found very uncomfortable, hard seat and vertical backrest.

18/08/2024: Dell’originario “Corridore” non c’è più nulla, neanche lo spirito di Mario, se non sulla carta nella scelta dell’Eroica. Per il resto, è a mezza via tra un’osteria e un ristorante. Pietanze sufficienti, meglio i secondi rispetto ai primi. Un consiglio: rivedere il servizio, cordiale ma troppo poco attento.

03/09/2024: All very good...the prices a little above average

02/09/2024: Terrible experience at this place. We had booked a table for 8pm, we arrived on time and were greeted by the visibly distressed waitress. After checking the diary, he called his superior. They left us waiting for 20 minutes without explanation, only to then confess that our table had been given to other customers, based on the assumption that they would get up in time. The proposed "solution"? Please wait. After another hour of waiting, we were finally seated at 9.20pm. We ordered and, as if that wasn't enough, dinner didn't arrive until 10.15pm. The "Coco" pizza turned out to be disappointing: the cooked mortadella was so salty that we spent the night drinking water. Everything was made even more unbearable by the owner's attitude, who instead of managing the situation asked us for understanding the evident chaos. Unfortunately, the management of the venue is totally ineffective and reflects a lack of professionalism. We won't be back and strongly advise against trying this place.

01/09/2024: Restaurant serving typical Abruzzo cuisine and pizzeria. Optimal! We discovered it by chance while visiting the historic center of Chieti. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff. I recommend it.

20/07/2024: Situato nella zona pedonale di Pescara, Brancaleo è un porto sicuro per tutti i celiaci. Qualità e originalità dei piatti ne fanno il punto forte. Servizio eccellente.

31/08/2024: Space food. A perfect lasagna. A rosé wine and the friendliness and competence of the "boy". I highly recommend!! The only (very relative) flaw: parking is not available at the venue but there is plenty of it in the town within walking distance.

31/08/2024: Professionalism, quality and courtesy are three adjectives that distinguish this place. We were greeted by very knowledgeable and welcoming staff who provided us with an excellent description of good quality local products. The cold cuts and cheese platters are a mix of local flavors to choose from to discover the riches of our country. Wonderful location with a view of the fortress and the town of Calascio. Prices more than fair for the quality of the food.

12/08/2024: Abbiamo mangiato bene sia gli antipasti che i primi e i secondi e speso il giusto. Unica nota stonata è stato il caffè e l'amaro non offerto ma messo in conto.

21/08/2024: We went to this restaurant for lunch, we took a mixed starter (we wanted to take two as it says on the menu that it is for 2 people, but the owner advised us to take one, because it is really plentiful) four first courses, a second course and four desserts. All very good, the tagliatelle with blackberries and raspberries truly delicious. The only flaw is the cost of the local beer, a bottle costs €12, almost like a first course.
