22/03/2026: A pleasant surprise...a small restaurant with just a few seats and an open kitchen. The tasting menu is worth a visit for its abundance and quality. Excellent value, highly recommended.

12/03/2026: I was in Sulmona a few days ago with my family and accidentally discovered this small but magnificent restaurant. The open kitchen is already a great calling card. We ordered everything from appetizers to dessert, and everything was delicious. The dishes were generous and beautifully cooked, each perfectly balanced and an explosion of flavors in your mouth. The service was impeccable, prompt and attentive to our requests. The atmosphere was very welcoming and refined. Finally, I would like to personally thank the entire staff for the care and kindness they showed my daughter, without even charging me for the dish they prepared for her that wasn't on the menu because, for health reasons, she couldn't eat anything else. Thank you so much, and it was a pleasure meeting you...see you next time.

03/05/2026: The Duca degli Abruzzi deserves 10 stars, but it's a shame they can only give it 5! Everything was perfect: spectacular welcome, very nice rooms. For those traveling with little luggage, even the attic rooms like ours are more than adequate. The real highlight, however, was the breakfast: as you can see from the photos, it was simply exceptional. A perfect start to celebrating my 🎂 birthday 😜 Highly recommended 🔝😍

01/03/2026: We stayed here for 3 days with my daughter Giulia and my partner. We had a wonderful time. The room was super comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and varied, the hotel was very central, and the owners were very kind. My daughter couldn't wait to come down for breakfast every morning. Thank you so much.

25/03/2026: I think it's the best sushi in Avezzano and the surrounding area. It's available both à la carte and by the roll during the week. My girlfriend and I first went à la carte and the quality was top-notch, now we're going by the roll because EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING, is exceptional. Even the fruit.

22/04/2026: Ristorante da Paolino in Pescocostanzo is one of the most delightful gastronomic surprises in inland Abruzzo. The cuisine is authentic and genuine, featuring traditional mountain dishes prepared with top-quality local ingredients: homemade pasta, flavorful roasts, and local cheeses and cured meats. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a typically Abruzzese welcome that immediately puts you at ease. The service is attentive and friendly. A complete gastronomic experience to combine with a visit to the beautiful village of Pescocostanzo.

07/04/2026: We came here on Easter Monday and were really satisfied. Everything was delicious, from the starters to the main courses, with quality ingredients and well-prepared dishes. The portions are generous and the value is excellent. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming.

The owner is a delightful person who creates a convivial atmosphere that makes you feel at home; he'd stay and chat for hours. Made to return. Highly recommended.

09/04/2026: Chosen for Easter Sunday, one of the few offering an à la carte menu and highly rated on Google. We had a rich appetizer, recommended for two, very generous and with various tastings, all very good, especially the exceptional pecorino cheeses. Followed by two first courses, generous portions and very tasty. We would have liked to try the meat (we saw some very inviting dishes pass by) and the desserts, but we were at capacity. They then offered limoncello and meloncello, both homemade. The place is charming, with a rustic elegance, and the service was friendly and efficient despite the crowds. The bill was €57, which I'd say was more than fair for the overall quality. Definitely recommended if you're in the area.

04/03/2026: A wonderful and pleasant surprise! Everything you expect when you eat out. A welcoming restaurant, excellent service, and food where the quality of the ingredients truly shines. Without overcomplicating things, they achieve a beautiful presentation, pleasing to both the palate and the eye. The combination of quantity and quality is perfect. We tried the charcuterie board and two very tender and juicy cuts of meat—I can't even take a picture because everything was so delicious I forgot to. This is a restaurant I'd put in every town in the world so I could return to it wherever I went. My congratulations to the owner and staff!

03/05/2026: There are two restaurants in this small town: both are good, although I personally prefer the other. The food is very similar, however. A couple of things could be improved: there's no draft beer, and when I ordered "French fries* or baked potatoes," I received chips. It would have been better to specify this when ordering. Overall, a good experience.

25/04/2026: A fantastic experience amidst the winding roads of Abruzzo. After a motorcycle ride through Guardiagrele, Casoli, the Verde River springs in Fara San Martino, Palena, Campo di Giove, and Pacentro, we crossed the San Leonardo Pass and stopped for lunch at Locanda del Barone in San Vittorino (descending just before Caramanico). ​The restaurant is wonderful, with a beautifully landscaped outdoor garden, perfect for relaxing. Lunch was top-notch: on the owner's recommendation, we opted for three starters, all perfect. We then continued with superb handmade arrosticini and exceptional roast lamb. The dessert, a lemon tart, was also excellent. ​The value for money is amazing, with the bill being decidedly modest considering the high quality of the dishes. We wanted to show our biker friends from Bari the best of Abruzzo, and thanks to this lunch, we achieved perfection. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back! Booking in advance is recommended.

06/04/2026: We couldn't have been more satisfied. The variety of dishes was good, the portions were generous, and the value for money was exceptional. In short, the food was excellent, the price was right, and the owner was a wonderful person, so I can only recommend it. Parking is also available in front of the restaurant.

02/05/2026: I've been going to Pizzeria Stella for a long time, and it never disappoints. The quality has remained consistent over the years: the dough is incredibly light and easy to digest, and the ingredients are always fresh and plentiful. The atmosphere is family-friendly, the staff friendly, and the quality/price ratio is unbeatable. It's one of my go-to places in the area when I want to be sure. Highly recommended!
