15/07/2025: Honorable mention goes to the very friendly, kind, and helpful staff. How can I not mention the quality of the meat? We had two fabulous cuts, one spectacular with blue cheese and the zigonia, obviously perfectly cooked, and I say this as a Tuscan. Finally, the desserts were delicious. I'll end my review by complimenting the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Well done, guys, keep up the good work.

02/09/2025: Hands down the best place we dined in Aosta during our 10 day stay, and probably one of our top 10 in Italy, clocking at over 40 visits to this country this says something. The pasta dishes are absolutely delicious, try the pappardelle with boar or the whole wheat penne with baby spinach, cherry tomatoes and almonds....exquisite. The breaded T-Bone steak was probably one of most succulent pieces of meat I ever had, despite barely having any fat whatsoever, not to mention the tagliata. Service is informal but excellent, and the wine list is substantial, with plenty of options to choose from. All in all this was one of the most memorable places we dined at during our 10-day trip to Aosta Valley.

31/08/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance while looking for a place for dinner... from the outside, it looked like an ordinary place, but once we went down the stairs and entered the cellar, it revealed itself to be a truly unique restaurant! We ate wonderfully without overindulging, with refined and truly unique dishes, including excellent offerings on traditional Aosta Valley cuisine and a truly unparalleled selection of wines. The charming atmosphere and family management... a guarantee of exceptional kindness! Highly recommended for a special occasion.

06/07/2025: Searched on Google, driven by the more than positive reviews, we stopped for a lunch as a couple and I must say that expectations were not disappointed: excellent dishes cooked with quality ingredients, trained and friendly staff, attention to the customer and promptness in satisfying the different needs (for example, sharing a dish that arrives already plated separately, or bringing the meat with different cooking methods according to personal taste ...). Not least the location immersed in the greenery of a small village ... Highly recommended restaurant 😊

14/06/2025: When entering this classical Italian eatery to enjoy a Valdostano menu you feel like being transferred some fifty years back in time, not only by the interior decoration but also by the soft jazz being played over the loud speakers and the strict black and white outfit of your fun English speaking waitress. It was only the white apron that was missing. I had the best polenta ever and wines by the glass were excellent. Overall good value for money!

17/07/2025: ハイキング旅行で当地を訪れた際に、夕食に伺うました。滞在していたホテルから徒歩5分ぐらいでした。 事前に予約して行ったので、無事入れましたが、夫婦でやっている７テーブルの小さなレストランなので、飛び込みだと満席のこともあるようです。 郷土料理が食べたかったので、その旨を奥さんに伝えたら、英語で丁寧に説明してくれました。頼んだ料理は写真のものですが、料理も手作りパンもホームメイドのデザートもとても美味しく満足でした。接客も丁寧で気持ちよく過ごすことができました。機会があれば再訪したいレストランです。

14/07/2025: Ho fatto una escursione al bivacco Gastaldi. Da principiante sconsiderato quale sono sono andato su senza zaino né borraccia....al ritorno erano le 15,30 .ca ed ero gravemente disidradato e affamato. Questo locale era ancora aperto nonostante le indicazioni all' esterno spiegassero che nel pomeriggio se non ricordo male alle 14,30 o alle 15,00 avessero una pausa. Ho chiesto una birra e la signora al banco mi ha fatto subito presente con fermezza che erano in chiusura. Dopo qualche insistenza la signora in maniera davvero gentile mi ha servito una birra alla spina da 50cl terminata a tempo record. Che dire....era un caso di emergenza e anche se la signora forse non se ne è resa conto la gentilezza ha prevalso. Tornerei volentieri.

19/08/2025: The welcome appetizers were very good and appreciated; the breadsticks and bread with olive oil were delicious. We chose the tasting menu. For our appetizer, the marinated Alpago trout was a wonderful symphony of flavors. Next, as an appetizer, were the crispy snails with a double-garlic cream. The garlic was too overpowering and overpowered the flavor of the snails. For our first course, we tried the oyster and porcini mushroom risotto, which, despite being a bit soupy, tasted good, although the watermelon was out of place. The Fusilli fracasso with rabbit ragù was very good. The second course was the venison à la royale, which was neither unpleasant nor particularly wow-worthy; it was a bit salty, probably because of the vinegar, so we couldn't finish it! The dessert was an unpleasant combination of porcini mushrooms and hazelnuts, which unfortunately didn't pan out. The atmosphere was a bit cold and too formal for my taste, but the service was impeccable. The appreciation was heightened when the chef personally came out to ask if everything except the venison was enjoyed. The location was incredibly beautiful! In conclusion, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit; perhaps it's better to opt for the à la carte menu to avoid some unsuccessful pairings.

17/08/2025: Sunday lunch. Nice place. The entrée included three appetizers and homemade bread with olive oil. The first course was risotto with oysters, mushrooms, and marinated watermelon (good, but not exceptional). The seared zucchini were delicious. A small pastry was offered at the end, which was appreciated. The staff was kind but not very attentive. The waiter dropped the cap on the oil and didn't even notice. A waiter spilled water at the next table, and the restaurant manager picked up the breadcrumbs, but not for us (were we acquaintances or regulars? Who knows). Overall, it was good and I recommend it, but personally, I wouldn't go back for a second time.

02/09/2025: This Cortina d’Ampezzo Restaurant offers fine dining experience with a great Selection of wines from the region and more. We were a group of 9 People and the Service was brilliant! All of the diners took different types of tasting Menus (there’s a vegetarian option) and the waiter handled everything perfectly 👏🏻 The food was delicious with a very diverse tasting experience : fish, meat, local vegetables and a great dessert. The Chef came to our table and was very kind and generous.

14/08/2025: Impeccable service & made my mother and I feel very special. Every step was considered and the food was fantastic. Not too pretentious atmosphere, classy enough whilst remaining relaxed. Highly recommend.

23/08/2025: I had dinner with my husband, my three children, and our beloved dog. The location was undoubtedly very welcoming and well-maintained, as were the dishes we enjoyed... undoubtedly well-executed and beautifully presented. The wines we chose were very good.... I'll add a couple of "buts" that we didn't like and that in my opinion ruin the good things about this Forno gem... We didn't like the cover charge (€3.50...not exactly cheap for 5 people)...which in my opinion should be abolished in all establishments by 2025...the cost of water (€2) that was served to us in jugs and which I assume was taken from the tap since it's in the mountains...and the very last flaw was the cost of the white pasta dish (€10) that we ordered for the little one..... I'm really sorry because you deserve 5 stars for the whole context.... Furthermore...a few evenings later we stopped for an aperitif...we ordered a platter and we were charged the cover charge...which left us perplexed....

17/08/2025: A welcoming place, but one that didn't welcome us. It was 1:30 PM on August 16th, and when we asked for a table for four, a young employee categorically and rudely told us that the kitchen was already closed. We didn't insist and left without saying anything. We went for pizza at Camino Nero, a little further up the street. After an hour, we stopped by again and noticed people having lunch, and a prominent sign saying the kitchen would close at 2:00 PM. We're not sure why, but we were truly disappointed!

09/09/2025: The best dinner we had in our week in Cortina. The tuna appetizer, the risotto pasta and the tenderloin steak were absolutely delicious. Definitely come here if you're visiting Cortina reservations recommended.

07/09/2025: A stop along the Cortina-Calalzo cycle path. Excellent service and good-quality food. It's about 400 meters from the cycle path, but with a significant elevation gain, it offers a magnificent view of Mount Pelmo and Mount Antelao.

06/09/2025: Nothing to say about the interior but the food was disappointing for the price paid. You expect good food but it wasn't there. I don't recommend it if you like good food.

30/08/2025: We were treated very badly by the owner of the restaurant, rude and phenomenal, he treated with attention only one table at which he evidently had acquaintances/friends since he spent a lot of time talking to us... exaggerated price for what we ate... not recommended
