17/10/2025: I hadn't been for years, but my son convinced us to try it yesterday. The sandwich had a strange taste, the meat tasted burnt, and the texture wasn't normal. The French fries, let's draw another veil of shame.
But the problem came afterward... stomach cramps and nausea in all three of us.
Never again.

05/10/2025: We ate there twice during our short vacation. The pizza was incredibly delicious. Baked in a wood-fired oven, everything fresh. The staff was super friendly. Highly recommended.
13/09/2025: We went for pizza last night. Let's start by saying that a place that only makes pizza should be good. I asked for a pizza with salami and chips. I specifically asked if the chips were fried. They told me, "Of course they are." The pizzas arrived with chips to be fried, placed on top with the mozzarella all stuck to them.
Good dough.

01/10/2025: A superb experience. Top-quality meat, selected and prepared by expert hands. Gin made with our own recipes. Unique, distinctive aromas. The owner's expertise, who knows and can suggest the best pairings, is there for you. You have to try it... it's hard to convey the true sensations.

08/09/2025: Excellent, quiet bar with a view of the wonderful—and underrated—Piazza IV Novembre. The food and drinks are excellent, and the service is quick and efficient. After frequenting Bar ai Portici a couple of times, they treat you like a regular and remember your preferences. I especially appreciate that the tables are always spotless, which unfortunately isn't a given at other establishments. Reasonable prices.

11/08/2025: A simple but tastefully furnished restaurant, with a well-managed outdoor terrace and plenty of space. Excellent quality meat, accompanied by a side dish in just the right quantity, and included in the price of the meat. Informal yet professional and always courteous service... the owner is very friendly and affable. We really appreciated the amaro that was offered to us (it's not that obvious). What can I say, everything is truly excellent!!!

19/10/2025: I ordered two Gringos Nachos for €8.70 each (total €17.40) through Delivero and was really disappointed. The menu listed several ingredients, but what I received were simply chips from a bag on a plate, with nothing of the ingredients listed.
Honestly, I expected much more, especially considering the price. A terrible experience, I wouldn't recommend it.

02/10/2025: This wine bar doesn't offer the service it deserves. The wines are good and reasonably priced for the quality (not overall), but they're served with chips. For a wine bar beneath the basilica and for the prices, you could expect focaccia or something else, as is the case at other similar places in the province. Service is poor and subpar (the waiter takes glasses by the rim, not the stem). The bathroom is filthy.
