The perfect host at Why and Not. We would go back in a heart beat for the food and also the staff.
26/07/2025: Locale carino a 10 minuti da Piazza San Marco. Gestito da persone del luogo cosa ormai rara per Venezia. Il cameriere è molto simpatico e professionale. Cicchetti con base di polenta buonissimi. Consiglio di provare il baccalà dorato. Prezzo nella media per il luogo e per quanto offerto.

05/10/2025: I had a pizza called Sud, swapping the mozzarella for cold buffalo mozzarella. It was really good, thin crust just the way I like it, and it was accompanied by a red beer. My friends were also satisfied. For four, plus a coffee and a whiskey, it was only €78! Honest and very kind.
We'll definitely be back. 👍

15/08/2025: Interesting location, but poor food. The appetizer and fish entree were bland, and chewing was the same as eating. We had to leave everything there and leave because paying to be sick isn't in our best interests.
08/08/2025: We had Seppie in nero alla Veneziana with polenta, sarde in saor, and margherita. It wasn't bad. Everything was good except that our main courses arrived very late.

04/05/2025: Un buon posto dove assaggiare cucina tipica: antipasto in saor e fegato alla veneziana ottimi; la tagliata di manzo buona. È possibile mangiare fuori lungo il canale, ma ha anche una sala interna. Il valore aggiunto sono sicuramente i camerieri: attenti, professionali, super gentili e cordiali, ma mai invadenti.

This place is perfect for an aperitivo, listening to good music, and enjoying lovingly prepared dishes.

03/10/2024: I took two pizzas and found them too burnt, good dough, hard crust, couldn't eat ham, too salty, half the pizza was eaten, half had to be thrown away, it's not the first time this has happened, already the third time.

08/09/2025: We spent several evenings here. The location is good, right on the main street, which is closed to traffic after 8:30 p.m. The cocktails and espresso are delicious. The bartenders know their craft, and you can see that they live, love, and excel at their profession. You simply have to try a cocktail here.

The outdoor tables are also very nice, perfect for enjoying an aperitif while chatting. Excellent and full of lovely people, even in the evening, with great, classy music. 😉 Absolutely recommended and worth a try!

The pizza is excellent, as is the spaghetti with clams.

11/08/2025: Food was good. Location is beautiful and general atmosphere is really calming. A really nice place to have breakfast and enjoy a coffee. Service wasn’t great, didn’t feel welcome at all.
