06/10/2025: I like to have a quick drink at a local bar.

02/10/2025: We got there at 6:30 pm, and they said no food till 7 pm, so we got drinks. But, a group of 9 came in after us and were served chips and salsa before 7 pm. They were playing loud rave type repetitive music. The servers didn't speak English, seemed bothered by us and very rude. We had to go up and get the server to ask if we could order after 7 pm, since they didn't come back and ask since 6:30 pm. We got Burgers and the buns were hard as a rock from being stale. We left crumbs and half the top bun on our plate but didn't complain. We should have complained but we would have to wait longer for a new burger, and were afraid of retaliation like spitting in our food, since they were so rude already. We had to go up and get the server again to ask if we can pay. We were charged 2 euros for 2 coperto which she angrily showed us by lifting the place mats. See the Pic. We have never been charged for that in any country and were not told of the charge beforehand, or we would have declined the place mats. Welcome to the mandatory fee only in Italy. Rude service and bad food. I'm sure they will lie and deny. Don't bother. Not worth it.

30/10/2025: We had a wonderful meal at Il Pescatore restaurant in Quarto d'Altino. The dishes are carefully crafted, and you can immediately taste the freshness of the fish, served with simplicity and attention to quality. We tried several dishes: the tartare was flavorful and well-seasoned, the tagliatelle with clams was tasty and plentiful, and the seared tuna was tender and perfectly cooked. The raw fish was also an excellent choice, served in a simple way to enhance the flavor of the fish. The dessert was also delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. A must-try for anyone seeking quality seafood, off the beaten path.

17/08/2025: Beautiful, very welcoming terrace. Excellent for a quick stop and a good fish dish. The menu is limited, but everything is fresh and made to order. I recommend it even just for lunch or a snack. Also an excellent bar with croissants, brioches, tramezzini, and aperitivo.

07/10/2025: We really enjoyed our dinner at Bacanera. The service was lovely - friendly & helpful and not too much or too little. Our meals we delicious - particularly our mains course see pics) … cooked to perfection (the pork was melt in your mouth, the chick & rabbit ragu oozed flavour and the red turnip/orange was surprisingly delicate). We let the waiter select our wines to match our food and they were bang on. A lovely quiet part of Venice and reasonably priced.

06/10/2025: Wonderful meal and very reasonably priced. Waiting staff very helpful. We came for lovely Italian pasta and weren’t disappointed. Had the sardines to start which were v tasty. For mains, I had the Bigoli in Soar which was lovely but didn’t taste as much of anchovies I might have hoped! My husband had a lasagne and it was delicious. Waiting staff were superb and more than happy to let me sample a couple of wines before I chose my glass offering helpful advice. We treated ourselves to puddings of creme caramel and tarte tatin which were also delicious. You are also served a lovely little amuse-bouche mini bruschetta which were delicious.

23/10/2025: La Montanina is truly a pleasant discovery! The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, perfect for both a family dinner and an evening with friends. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always available, making the experience even more enjoyable. The pizza is excellent: light dough, quality ingredients, and perfectly cooked. The restaurant's dishes are also worth a visit—generous portions and authentic flavors, and you can taste the passion in the kitchen. The desserts are also excellent, all homemade. The value for money is very good, and the relaxed atmosphere makes you want to return. Highly recommended for those looking for good food, friendliness, and a genuine atmosphere.

23/10/2025: I highly recommend this pizzeria. The pizzas are excellent, reasonably priced, and there's a wide selection. We were welcomed in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They were a lifesaver on a stormy evening when everything was closed!

02/11/2025: Extremely uncomfortable, pushy tourist trap. Portions were small (veal with mushrooms). If you ask for two glassesog wine they will sell you a small bottle +6€ for nothing. Never ever again. The way this is gonna play out: 1. if you do not have a reservation, they will try everything to get you a table (which there are plenty of). you ll feel like they did you a giant favor. 2. they ll take your jackets. you are locked in. no easy and quick escape when it gets uncomfortable. 3. they ll get you multiple menus. drinks, wine, truffle specials, main dishes and use pushy and assuming language that you gonna order wine, water and what not. still or sparkling? it does not matter really, they ll get you a bottle anyway. the wine you order is always out of stock, but guess what. the more expensive version is available. you want two glasses? they ll get you a small bottle for 40% more. 4. ordering the food is really the least exciting part. just be ready for very small portions. the veal is less than what some joints list under the kids options. I could have finished that in 1 minute. 5. dessert or coffee? I think they had already given up on us at that point. we finally ordered the bill being told no tip was included. fortunately this played out without further begging and discussions as we did not tip. 6. get your jackets back and run. awful experience.

01/11/2025: The place was small, overly hot, and noisy. The floor was sticky and covered in food residue—who knows how long it hadn't been cleaned! The staff was rude or overly pushy, and they became too familiar with customers they'd never met before. As soon as we arrived, the waiter placed the menu directly on our plates, which was already a bad start. The best part came at the end: we paid and divided the amount by the number of diners. The waiter, Gianluca, made us pay without showing us what he'd set for the individual portions. In the end, we paid more than our table's bill. When we mentioned this to the waiter, he said... "Well, I rounded up. What a problem!"

31/10/2025: We were very disappointed by this restaurant. The prices are exorbitant and the food served was rather bland. This restaurant relies on its location, definitely not on its cuisine.

14/10/2025: I was very surprised. We were at the restaurant in the afternoon. It wasn't busy, and the waiter was a bit distracted. We wanted two pizzas, and he mentioned something about crunchy pizza. We were surprised: OK, he meant sesame seeds on the pizza. Attached is the bill: everyone can make up their own mind about the amount of the caperto and the sesame surcharge. It's also interesting that the bill doesn't include the name of the service provider or an address. The pizza was okay, but as always, it's a matter of taste. We ate elsewhere for the rest of our vacation... PS: I knew the restaurant's reaction. What else could they say? But of course, every vacationer speaks and writes the local language. It's my own fault, what an idiot I am. But it's not an issue for me: there are pizzerias all along the street, most of them cheaper and at least no worse. As long as the place is full, it'll be fine. Chapeau, and I don't mean that in a bad way.

23/11/2025: Located next to a hypermarket with which it shares a parking lot, the entrance is attractive. Modern building, basic interiors, a bit chilly inside. Very fast service, okay food. Top sashimi. Reasonable prices, plenty of seating divided between two main rooms. Friendly staff. Free liqueur. See you next time!

12/11/2025: Surprised to find this little trattoria, the wooden interior is well-maintained. Frequented by local workers, the prices are reasonable and the tagliatelle all'ortolana was very good.
