31/03/2025: Our concierge from the Radisson Palazzo Nani, recommended and made a reservation at Officina Ormesini for my daughter’s and me for our first night in Venice. It was a short walk from our hotel. The restaurant is charming, with an enormous wine selection. From the moment we arrived, our waiter, Sergio, made us feel welcome with his warm and friendly demeanor. His knowledge of the menu was impeccable and his wine recommendations were spot on. The food did not disappoint—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You could taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that went into the cooking. We shared the cacio e Pepe and their special of the night, a sea bass and vegetables beautifully prepared and expertly served table side by our waiter. During our conversation with Sergio, he casually mentioned that most visitors do comeback to the restaurant. We did! And we are so grateful that they could accommodate our last minute reservation request! The food is that good! We highly recommend Officina Ormesini, not only for it’s excellent food and wine but also for their top tier service.

11/03/2025: You have to be careful, on the board outside it tells you that the menu is €13.50, but it doesn't tell you that they also charge €2.50 per cover. The drink is not included and we ordered water and a beer, the bottle of water cost €5 and the beer €16. The food was good, but nothing out of this world. They gave us an appetizer while we waited for the food and charged us €17. In total we entered for the menu €27 and ended up paying €73. They must have two menus, one for tourists and another for locals, because many workers came in to eat.

27/12/2024: The food has always been excellent over the last few years. Whether pizza, pasta or seafood. Large portions for a very good price. Very large outdoor area. If you reserve in advance you save long waiting times. Very suitable for families with children as there is a huge playground integrated. I've never experienced anything like that a second time. This means that it is of course a little louder than in other restaurants.

03/10/2024: Ampio locale tre in uno con giardino: ristorante, pizzeria e wine bar. L' accoglienza e' stata stupefacente! L' effigie di Albano Carrisi campeggiava infatti su un bancone dove erano esposte varie specialità pugliesi, essendo i titolari provenienti da tale regione. La sala e il servizio sono stati molto curati: tavole solide arricchite da tovaglie di stoffa candide e stoviglie particolari e bellissime. Dopo validi antipasti con sarde beccafico e assaggi di "le ciangulerie pugliesi", abbiamo preso pizze varie sottili che avrebbe però avuto bisogno di un adeguato coltellino. Dolci vari e fenomenali, assolutamente imperdibili!!!! Peccato non si balli

02/10/2024: Finger licking!! 😋 Very large and well-kept place. One of the few places where you can find a vast choice of fish-based dishes that are always fresh and of great quality and taste! The fried foods are excellent, but the pizzas are also all tasty and delicious. The Pescatora pizza with seafood is highly recommended, thin, fragrant dough, very digestible and definitely filling, truly finger licking!! 😋 Highly recommended 🤩

07/03/2025: Buongiorno oggi ho pranzato da Venissa. Abbiamo preso il menu 4 portate con assaggio dei vini. Il posto è bellissimo ma la delusione dei piatti purtroppo è stata grande. Il primo piatto aveva un odore difficile e un gusto discutibile. La seconda portata gnocchi alla romana con delle alghe maleodoranti sopra. Poi è arrivato il pesce e dei contorni. Il pesce grigliato freddino era triste e senza sapore, i contorni buoni ma radicio e fasioi lo mangio da mia nonna. Poi le frittele con uno zabaione immangiabile (consiglio Tonolo a Venezia)! Per quello che ho pagato sono veramente deluso, se poi aggiungiamo che tra i camerieri ognuno mi indicava un pesce diverso alla mia domanda cosa sto mangiando? Mi dispiace davvero tanto! Sicuramente è stato un episodio! Buona continuazione.
