28/07/2026: A very pleasant place, located on a lovely, lively square. The only downside was the not-so-great Spritz. It was served quickly, so probably prepared in advance, and barely fizzed... Disappointing in that respect... A shame.

06/08/2026: I ordered a seafood platter last night and was very disappointed. The seafood had a strong smell and taste of old fish. Even now, I keep reliving that unpleasant taste.
After I brought the problem to their attention, they replaced the platter, but I only received shrimp instead of a new seafood platter. I appreciate their attempt to resolve the issue, but it doesn't compensate for the lack of freshness of the original dish.
Unfortunately, my experience was very negative. Freshness should be a given with seafood. I hope that more attention will be paid to the quality and freshness of the products in the future.
06/08/2026: We dined at this restaurant during our stay in Jesolo and had a truly wonderful time. The staff was extremely kind, polite, and always available, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The food was truly excellent, carefully prepared and with a wide selection of dishes to suit all tastes. The value for money is also excellent. We highly recommend this place and will gladly return!

I had a hamburger and it is more than enough to feed you 200g of meat and good quality ingredients, chatting with the manager the place is open every day for lunch and evening top highly recommended

17/07/2026: Food didn’t wow me… you’re paying for the view and noticed that it was mainly tourists dining. The server was good and attentive but didn’t feel that what we paid the food was lacking. Also bees kept coming to our table.
15/07/2026: The view is spectacular. If you sit by the seaside, you get a panoramic view of about 220 degrees.
The staff are very attentive, and I think the seafood will suit Japanese palates.

Indoor and outdoor seating.
I recommend stopping for a coffee.

I ate breakfast here on my last day in Italy.
The kind-looking lady was by herself, tending to local regulars.
I ordered a prosciutto sandwich for €3 (photo right) and a cappuccino for €1.50.
I was very satisfied with the breakfast I had in such a peaceful atmosphere.

I came across Mertobar!
From the comments of others who visited this place I said to myself "We will have dinner there!"
I walked 6 km with a 3.7 year old child, the little one was hungry and I raised my blood pressure
I ordered a Caesar salad, but I didn't get it with all the ingredients inside! I told the staff that the salad was not ok and they reacted immediately, for which I thank you!
But I think that almost whole lettuces for salad are not put like that!

A classic Venetian osteria; don't expect nouvelle cuisine or an exclusive location... But the best value for the freshest fish you can find.
