01/01/2025: It is clear that sympathy is not at home here

26/12/2024: We had to keep going to the counter to order food or ask for cutlery.... service was non-existent and it was not as if they were extremely busy. Food was also so so only. Quite a disappointment.

06/08/2024: We were served by Sergio, the food was delicious. Especially the turbot fish was great.

24/11/2024: I thought there was no cheap and good food in Venice. But I was wrong. American Snack Bar, like a horse on a white knight, saved the honor of Venetian gastronomy. I would love to experience this explosion of flavors again. I highly recommend it and greet you with your family😻😻😻

02/11/2024: Horrendous unfresh and tasteless food. Our family literally threw all the food we bought after couple of bites. Could not eat. 18 euros in drain.

27/06/2024: For international readers, the tri cornered hat reference is to highwaymen of the 18th century who robbed people on the road. That’s how I felt when I got the bill at this restaurant. We’ve had nothing but lovely experiences in bars and restaurants during our three days in Venice. We let our guard down, and didn’t check the reviews before stopping for a drink here on a sunny afternoon. Big mistake. We checked the menu before ordering but wine was priced only by the bottle. No use to us, we wanted a glass of wine and two beers. We ordered a glass of house white, thinking it would be the cheapest on the menu, and two beers. We then ordered another glass of wine and a beer. When the bill came the beers were €8 each. Expensive for Venice, but manageable. However the standard glasses of wine were €15 each. €15! We were very unhappy but that’s what you get when you don’t check the reviews. Felt completely ripped off. Please do avoid and try one of the many, many other decent places nearby.

08/06/2024: My wife and I had lunch here. Venice is expensive full stop, but I received four prawns for 20 Euros and my wife’s meal was not much better. We had not even put our cutlery back on the plate before they were taken away and they were trying to rush us out of the restaurant. The amount of food we ate was not even an entree size, yet it was the main dish. AVOID !!!!

21/11/2024: Cenamos con amigos en nov 2024. Atención: la lista de precios en la entrada es aceptable. Pero me cobraron uso de cubiertos a pesar de que pedimos 3 pizzas y agregaron la propina sin consultarnos. La ubicación junto al puente de noche tiene una buena vista. Sin embargo el sabor de la comida no nos gustó, sin mencionar que estaba excesivamente salada. No lo recomiendo.

21/11/2024: Pas terrible, pas mauvais, pas bon, pas confortable, pas cool, pas sympa, on a payé le prix de l'emplacement, mais de toutes les façons il y a tellement de gens qui passent que vous ne voyez rien.. Un MacDo à pizzas en fait..

23/08/2024: Food is cheap and bad, hidden fee of 12% of the whole Bill (tax) AND 2€ coperto per person. Waiters are rude. Waited very long to get the bill. Upon payment, receipt was thrown on the table and waiter walked away without a second word. Felt very unwelcome. Recommendation by waiter isn’t good too. Tasted awful. Tried many different restaurants around the area and never had any of such issues before.

15/08/2024: Sorry for the long review but I hope it helps and gives you an insight into this restaurant. I had ordered the grilled chicken breast with potatoes (pictured) and as you can see it was covered in oil?!? And wasn’t even properly cooked! It was just so chewy and had no flavour at all. The side salad that was given with it they hadn’t even washed the vegetables? I thought u were meant to wash veg before eating it. For dessert I ordered the profiteroles and I got something that looked like a cake?!?! And worst thing is it tasted like nothing the chocolate like coating was so thick and there wasn’t even any cream inside! It was just like a cake that had gone off and they covered it in chocolate?? Now the thing that annoyed me the most is a man on the table behind me had ordered the same thing and he got what profiteroles are meant to look like- actual rolls with cream inside! The restaurant also charge €2 per person sat at the table so for the 3 of us it was €6 also they charge you a 12% service tax of €10 I think that is just ridiculous if you ask me also they put bread on the table without asking if you want any bread and don’t tell you that you have to pay for it?? Well at least we did whether or not this was something against me and my family being English/tourists I will never know or were they just tired??? They also never spoke to you or greeted us politely it was just plain silent! They hadn’t even come over and checked if we were enjoying our meal also when the guy went to sit us at our table he didn’t invite us to follow him so we didn’t follow him at first till he yelled at us to come inside? I’m sorry but there was just no sense of courtesy in this place! Anyways all in all their is no excuses for a sloppy service.

15/10/2024: Terrible! We arrive at 7.15pm to eat a salad and they send you away because they already don't make anything to eat, with closing time at 9pm. I don't understand why they keep it open anyway to make such impressions on customers, they already close at 7pm!

26/10/2024: First time at the gorilla to hear Chiara Brothers and bounced because it was too old to enter. Right if it is specified on the event but traveling 50 kilometers and not entering is a huge lack of respect for those who want to hear the artists you host.

29/09/2024: Disorganized, low level record. They make you pay the full ticket even if you arrive on time, because you stay in the queue for at least half an hour. However, I don't pay 15 euros even in better nightclubs

01/01/2025: A mess. When we arrived they gave us the table already with the tablecloth stained with fresh sauce. While we were eating there were also midges. We ate pasta with seafood and pasta with carbonara, the seafood one was disgusting but edible, the carbonara one was inedible and disgusting, it didn't taste like anything and I felt like vomiting while I tried to eat it, only to feel sick afterwards. because it sure was cheesy. In the menu it was expressly written that the service was 12%, I had already done the calculations so I knew how much it had to be and therefore how much we would have to pay, when we arrived at the house it told me a price increased by 2 euros from what I had expected and seeing the receipt they had added 2 euros more for the service. Be careful and check first what you have to pay if you go but I don't recommend it. Stay away from this restaurant.

28/12/2024: The food is very expensive for the amount they serve. They turned off the heat at the beginning of the service and it was cold. Little amount of food and very expensive prices, they also charged us 30 euros more for the service. A scam, I won't be coming back again.

05/01/2025: prices definitely too high and unclear, the waiters are insistent and intrusive, the pastries are not very good (especially for what they cost), we had to pay an extra euro for "table service", the waiters do not speak Italian well and we understand well what they say.

04/01/2025: SCAM! They will overcharge you and serve you a frozen pizza from the supermarket. Avoid this place.

11/01/2025: Dirty environment, broken chairs, we consumed two proseccos (the bottle had been open for I don't know how long) spent 9 euros and they didn't even bring us chips.

29/12/2024: Terrible service, rude booking staff. Endless wait to be served. Very poor quality food.
