13/03/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance, and we left delighted. The service was outstanding, especially from the waitress who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. There were eleven of us, we ordered from both the set menu and the à la carte menu, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

08/02/2026: Dinner for two on a Saturday evening in February, so no seating issues or crowding outside. One raw appetizer, one hot appetizer. A 600g soaso (cooked in the oven) with potatoes, split between two. Two glasses of still white wine, an apple tart for dessert, two crostoli (typical pastries), and one fritter, and a coffee. We spent €189.00. What really upset me was the price of the main course, €75.00. I think it's disproportionate to the value of the fish. We were very disappointed.

01/09/2025: Excellent experience at the end of August The fried fish was really good, tender, and had a variety of fish. The pizza, too, was thin, crispy, and easy to digest.

26/02/2026: The rooms were sorely lacking in cleanliness; we found cockroaches. The cafeteria was filthy; they gave me a dirty glass and spoon. The staff didn't speak the language and explained things very rudely. But when we saw the cockroach, we decided not to return to this hotel.

20/12/2025: I would avoid this place if I were you. Scammy pricing tactics lure you in promising €10 pasta, however, if you get any drinks that's where they get you. Pasta is below average and definitely not freshly cooked. Outrageous €7.5 price for a small beer from the tap (which is conveniently not listed on the menu) and on top of that €2 per person non-optional service charge for no service (mind you have to both order and pay at the counter). Best to dine elsewhere even if more expensive but honest and upfront. P.S. just noticed a review about the toilet cleanliness and out-of-service tap from 7 months ago. This is still the case today.

07/12/2025: We took advantage of Happy Hour and ordered a Spritz. The service was very good, and it's fine as a snack stop, nothing fancy.

29/11/2025: Waited for a giant Margherita pizza to take away and two French fries, 50 minutes, poor quality of the pizza, I think it's stretched curd and not mozzarella, terrible cooking of the pizza, inedible salty French fries. Never again

20/08/2025: The toast looks inviting but is very disappointing in the mouth. It lacks flavor and is stuffed with potatoes to give it a "full" effect.

04/05/2025: While passing through on our way home we stopped at this historic pizzeria. First time after the change of management. Smaller menu but some historic pizzas remained and were very good. So good that we bought another one, something that never happens to us. Young and helpful staff. For sure if we pass through Gruaro we will stop again.

01/05/2025: I had booked 10 takeaway pizzas, we arrived at the agreed time, the place was almost empty and we still waited an hour. The pizzas were hard and small. I've eaten many pizzas in my life but like this one I hope it remains a bad memory of waiting an hour, among other things. I won't be going back

15/02/2026: Terrible experience! I wish I had seen the reviews before going. The ice cream tasted like medicine (the bad kind, at that) and the gray-haired waiter, as other comments already say, provides terrible service, to say the least. My advice is not to go. Enjoy the view at other restaurants in the area. --------------------------------------------- In response to the owner: the problem wasn't the ice cream, but the service. In a place that depends on tourists, it's unthinkable that an employee would treat customers with such disrespect. If they don't want me to order anything, they can just say so—which is what I did—but my wife wanted to give the establishment a chance. On February 10, 2026, at 6:05 PM, the gray-haired waiter made comments in Italian mocking my wife, assuming we wouldn't understand. We understood everything; we just avoided responding to avoid confusion. I sincerely hope it wasn't the owner himself who served us. If it was an employee, be warned: they have already been mentioned negatively in other reviews, and this damages the establishment's image, as it did to me.

27/09/2025: The best pizza on the Venice Lido. All the other dishes are excellent as well. Excellent service, friendly and professional staff. The atmosphere is rustic yet refined, warm and welcoming, and the summer garden is lovely. The live music evenings are special.
