The place was fully booked, but they told us they had a table reserved for us after 40 minutes, and if that's not a problem, they'd be happy to accommodate us. The aperitifs and platter were excellent, not to mention the tiramisu, the best we've ever tasted! Next time, we'll book so we can try the food, which looked just as good. 18/10/2025: I often pass by Maison Café and occasionally stop for a quick breakfast. The place is well-kept and conveniently located, with a good selection of pastries, including "special" ones. That said, I've noticed some difficulty managing takeout requests: several times I was told I couldn't get extra pastries because they'd run out, and one morning, even though the café was still empty, I was told it would take half an hour to prepare more. Nothing serious, but the overall impression is that the organization could be improved, especially considering the prices (€1.80 for a "special" pastries and €2.50 for a maritozzo) are quite high for the area. A place with good potential, which perhaps deserves a more attentive management to the needs of those who stop in on a quick stop before work.

09/11/2025: Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing in several respects. First, the 9:00 breakfast time is truly unacceptable: we were told it's "tourist time," but honestly, we've never heard of such a time. At most, 8:00 is acceptable, but 9:00 is definitely too late. Furthermore, we had agreed to have breakfast at 6:30, as requested, since we had an early departure for a race. Unfortunately, once we arrived at the agreed-upon time, everything was closed and there was no one there: truly unprofessional, especially after having made arrangements in advance. According to them, they had stayed in bed due to the lateness of the night before... not to mention that, once we left through the door that had been given to us as accessible at all hours, we were unable to get back in. The worst part, however, was the evening: there was a very noisy group in the restaurant that continued with their racket and noise until past midnight, making it impossible to get a proper rest. Considering we had a race the next day, it was even more disappointing. The only positive note was the good quality of the food, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to make up for the other issues.

28/09/2025: First of all, I would like to emphasize that our stay was truly outstanding in many ways. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the food was of a very high standard – much of it from the farm's own production – and the wine selection left nothing to be desired. The ambiance was tasteful, the pool area very well-maintained, and the staff and owners were friendly and accommodating. It was a place where you could feel at home. But despite all these positive impressions, I personally only give it one star – and for a very sad reason: the treatment of the animals on the premises. The conditions in which the dogs are kept there shocked me deeply. I shed tears at the sight of the injured, sometimes neglected animals. The kennels were far too small, filthy with feces, and lacked any form of activity or retreat. Flies were gathering on open wounds. The Samoyeds appeared unkempt; their fur was matted, and their body language expressed a longing for touch. There was no shade at all – the animals desperately tried to cool themselves by digging in the earth, injuring their snouts in the process. The two Bernese Mountain Dogs also appeared apathetic – they lay motionless by the fence, also searching for shade. The horses stood in small, muddy pens without grass or sun protection, exposed to the blazing midday heat. I tried to speak with the owner, hoping for some understanding or even insight. Her response: The veterinarian was regularly on site and everything was fine. But my impression was completely different – ​​I saw animals that were suffering, that appeared physically and emotionally neglected. I would like to emphasize that I am not accusing the people there of any malicious intent. Rather, I believe there is a fundamental misunderstanding of what constitutes species-appropriate animal husbandry. But especially in a business that places such great value on quality, sustainability, and enjoyment, one cannot turn a blind eye to the treatment of animals. I sincerely hope that the conditions for these tortured souls will improve. True hospitality is not only evident in the way we treat people, but also in the respectful treatment of animals.
