18/10/2023: Starting from the assumption that in my opinion one should show up at a venue with no expectations, I had a great time at the Baracca. And I say that I had a very good time before saying that I ate well, only for the fact that I have experienced on myself the importance of feeling well overall compared to just eating well. Pippone premise aside, let's get to the point: We had lunch outside On the beautiful terrace overlooking the surrounding hills of Monfumo: very good starter of fresh cold cuts, the taste was reminiscent of authentic and non-industrial flavours. I was with friends and we ordered a couple of ribs as well as a mixed fish dish. The tender meat of indigenous origin (Bassano del grappa) was cooked to perfection. We settled for the house wine, I think it was a Cabernet but I don't remember if Franc or Sauvignon. The aftertaste was sweet so I'm more inclined to think it was Sauvignon. The customers were younger than us, the communication language of the managers in all its aspects is oriented towards that target, but we older people didn't look out of place nor did we find ourselves out of place. However, I noticed some excellent quality labels in the Pantry inside the restaurant. Adequate bill €40 each including a round of coffee and half a dessert each, to take the average between those who ordered it and those who didn't. 27/12/2023: Doveva essere una semplice e tradizionale festa di compleanno, ed invece abbiamo vissuto una serata nella quale difficilmente i ricordi e le emozioni se ne andranno dalle menti dei presenti. La location retrò si sposa perfettamente ai concetti cardine di amicizia, convivialità e condivisione; nota a margine va fatta per la boiserie in legno delle pareti, le quali fanno sentire i commensali, i protagonisti del video "Last Christmas" degli Wham. Che dire dell'aspetto culinario... abbiamo avuto il piacere di assaporare i grandi classici della casa, con la regina faraona a coronare un percorso culinario prpostoci dallo chef, da Stella Michelin. Una menzione d'onore va ai gestori del locale, i quali non solo ci hanno coccolato solo come le madri farebbero con i propri figli, ma ci hanno altresì fornito la licenza di generare un party post cena, degno dell'Amnesia di Ibiza. Dire che torneremo sicuramente in questo locale è alquanto riduttivo... ormai questo luogo è diventato IL PUNTO DI INCONTRO. Grazie Osteria Alla Riva. "La libidine è qui!
