25/03/2026: 23 € = pizza + bottle of water = never again
Pizza was yummy and paella dishes are humongous -- to the point of being excessive. Unfortunately, the waiter rushed us to finish our meal (despite our big group being their only customers on Sunday and despite having booked well in advance).
Icing on the cake, the usual Italian story: "we don't do split bills" -- which has nothing to do with the actual bill being printed (I'm perfectly fine having a single one), but has more to do with the cashier being unwilling to inform customers of the individual prices of their meals and unable to afford enough change for everyone... so I ended up paying more for a relatively cheaper meal just because we had to split the bill "evenly". Shame.

The Christmas menu was fully respected.

11/04/2026: A beautiful spring day, a birthday and Easter lunch. The dishes were generous and beautifully cooked, from the appetizers to the first and second courses of meat. They also have a wine cellar where you can enjoy an aperitif, with a wide variety of wines. Recommended.

25/02/2026: Mr. Giovanni and his wife, Mrs. Ivana, are very kind. Excellent coffees, cappuccinos with delicious croissants. From Mr. Giovanni, I learned to use his excellent cocoa instead of sugar on the cappuccino and coffee.
14/02/2026: After enjoying an excellent cappuccino, the owner asked me if I wanted more foam, topped with a little chocolate powder and chocolate curls. It was perfect. It made me start the day with a big smile. The owner is very kind.

Let's just say the service could be improved, and the decor isn't very welcoming, but the food is good, the horse meat is good, and above all, it's excellent value for money.
11/11/2025: I stopped for dinner by chance. The place was quiet, the service good. I had a meat-based first course and a second course, all good and reasonably priced.
I recommend it.

06/04/2026: This hotel has a classic atmosphere with a very decent hotel breakfast. We booked through their official website which ended up being a bit cheaper than on booking.com so I really recommend people trying to book there (we got a really good deal on breakfast). It is a super location, warm atmosphere, really in the heart of the city. They let us check in earlier and after our checkout they kindly stored our luggage for the next day which we really appreciated. Only issue was that our bed had 2
separate mattresses which kind of came apart during the night, little bit weird. Just a minor comment on an otherwise good experience!
01/04/2026: We've stayed here many times.
The value for money is excellent; we always get a room with breakfast and a direct view of the basilica.
It's an indescribable experience. The hotel is clean and affordable, exactly what a pilgrim needs.
We are very satisfied and would stay here again whenever we come back to Padua.

13/03/2026: Discovered by chance, confirmed by the reviews, a small but very welcoming place, run by a husband and wife, I assume, so that already says it all. Excellent quality, flawless service, we'll definitely be back. Highly recommended! And highly recommended if you like grilled meat, but the real thing!

19/01/2026: Tried on January 17th. The pancake with cream/zabaglione—they weren't clear about it—was mediocre. It had neither the strength nor the flavor of zabaglione, and it may have been lighter, as they told me, but it disappointed me: I've had much better ones in Vicenza and Padua. The chocolate cream puff was decent. The herbal tea was good, but the unknown lemon tea was definitely not great, and it needs reconsidering. The mezzanine where we stayed was quite dark, both due to the dark color of the walls, a sad dark gray, and the insufficient lighting. The deer antlers on the walls were tasteless and out of place. The ladies were kind. I don't think I'll be back.

15/01/2026: I walked past this hotel daily as I was staying with a friend in Padova. This hotel always had the nicest staff and the patrons always dressed very well. The location is great for walking around near restaurants and they will hail a taxi when you want go further. They even went out of their way to hold a lost item of mine at the desk so I could retrieve it. I know when I return, I will stay here!
