27/11/2025: Osteria della Rivetta is just 500 meters from Venice's most important, yet less-visited, attractions: the Basilica of Santa Maria dei Frari and the Scuola Grande di San Rocco. So, you might as well stop there for a drink and a bite to eat and find yourself in what must be the closest thing to a tapas bar in Venice during the 20th century, since it opened. The place is run by a mother and son who, if you're lucky enough to walk in during a shift change when they're both there, will see them bickering like something out of an Italian soap opera, almost like a parodic ritual. The place is packed with young people from all over the world who have come to study art or whatever else is being studied in Venice, local workers, and tourists and travelers—because, ultimately, it's impossible not to find them in Venice. But the place is good, nice, cheap, and if you greet them in Italian, as is proper in Italy, they'll at least treat you with respect. So learn to say Ciao at least, have a few glasses of very decent demijohn wine with some cicchetti, and be happy. Autumn 2025

19/11/2025: This is a very specific local spot — and depending on what you’re looking for, you might absolutely love it… or you might completely hate it. But if you want to see the real, old-school Venice and have a truly unique experience, this is the place to go. It’s authentic, a bit eccentric, and wonderfully traditional. And a fair warning: from 12:00 to 15:00 mobile phones are strictly forbidden — if you dare take yours out, the owner will happily threaten to toss it into the canal 😍 If you’re looking for something genuine, quirky, and full of character, you’ll appreciate this place. A true slice of Venice.

14/12/2025: We were passing through after a lovely visit to the "Bosco dei Fontanassi" for a quick lunch. Even though it was very late (after 2:00 PM), they were kind and helpful. Good food, very friendly staff. The owner was also very friendly. Recommended!!

08/03/2025: Le porzioni sono inaccettabili per il prezzo pagato: 18 euro di pastissada dove la carne di cavallo era inesistente, ho ordinato un altro secondo perché avevo ancora fame. Qualità sicuramente buona ma non è possibile pagare 77€ in due con due calici di vino ed avere ancora fame!

23/02/2025: Ristorante tipico Veronese con piatti della tradizione che non si trovano facilmente e ben eseguiti. Servizio cortese e veloce.

07/05/2025: I cannot say enough about the lovely waitress who made a special effort to allow our family to be seated outside in the courtyard on a beautiful warm evening. The food was exceptional and our granddaughter loved her pizza. We stayed late and enjoyed a few limoncello's. If you are staying in the area of San Stae this is a restaurant you should try.

22/09/2025: Pizzeria Pinup offers delicious pizzas at reasonable prices, comparable to other pizzerias in the area. We ordered 13 pizzas and the service was impeccable: great availability and courtesy, even with a last-minute change of schedule. Home delivery is also excellent.

20/09/2025: We went there on a Sunday for lunch after hiking to Vach Lake. The place is truly beautiful and worth a visit, both for the hospitality and the view. We sat inside, it was very nice and cozy, in mountain style. The waiters were friendly, kind, and quick. The food was excellent, you could taste the authentic quality. We ordered goat, spelt with polenta, and a side of beans with cabbage. Coffee was kindly offered. We'll definitely be back. Congratulations.

01/10/2025: A very unique restaurant. We were amazed by this incredible place, decorated with many old and vintage items. The food is excellent, with Venetian cuisine and game. We can't wait to go back.

25/10/2025: This is a hotel restaurant, so be prepared for hotel prices. The food is delicious, but the portions tiny, so I could not give it the highest rating

12/10/2025: This restaurant is part of the Hyatt Centric Hotel and serves excellent food - mainly seafood. Our waitress was very nice and helpful and made us feel welcome and appreciated. We would return despite the high price tag.

23/10/2025: Right in front of Venice. Clean toilets, a great place to have a good coffee, a slice of pizza or a sandwich and relax a bit. The staff is also very friendly.

09/11/2025: I had dinner with my husband. We were extremely satisfied. The dishes were a masterpiece to look at and taste. All excellent!!!! Compliments to the chef!!!! The wait staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend it.

08/12/2025: Let me start by saying that I enjoy cooking both fish and meat. I had a seafood pasta dish, and it was simply mediocre. The seafood was frozen and flavorless, and the spaghetti was salty. The location is very charming, but the food is poor. The prices are also high, and the menu is meager.

06/12/2025: A welcoming spot for a moment of rest and relaxation after long walks along the banks of the Sile. A lovely natural setting with a panoramic view of the Casier River.

29/11/2025: Orzo macchiato for 2.50, small brioche for 1.80. Okay, the increases, but we're out of pocket here. The staff is pissed off and incompetent. I think brushing your hair before work is the bare minimum of basic life skills. The products aren't bad, but they're overdone and presented in a confusing way. Advice: pay fewer, more competent staff and get back to reasonable prices.

22/10/2025: We just had dinner there. My girlfriend had noodles with walnuts and bacon, and I had a cheese board with walnuts and jam. It's lovely home-cooked food and a friendly atmosphere. We're delighted to be heading back to Spain.
