21/09/2025: The place is not that bad in general. Lasagna for 11 EUR is quite an option in Venice if you want to eat on a budget. It was a little too dry, but I wouldn’t expect anything else for this price. What absolutely ruined our dinner were mosquitos. I have counted 7 bites even before we ordered the food!! I fully understand that this is not the owner’s fault, however bare this in mind when you choose a restaurant for your evening.

12/06/2025: Those who write "nothing special" are evidently used to eating canned tuna or Knorr sachets 😅 In this historic trattoria in Valbelluna you can taste the true traditional flavors of the area, in an informal setting but with excellent service. What can I say, the risotto al Piave vecchio is a must-try!

30/08/2025: While searching for the best restaurants in Venice, this was by far the best. Typical Venetian food adapted to our times. Very good products, very creative dishes and preparations, very friendly service, and excellent wines. A hidden gem among the canals. Congratulations.

25/09/2025: The menu: a wide selection of sandwiches, each more extravagant than the last. The place is movie-themed, so each table has a different movie theme. The kangaroo sandwich was very good, served with fries and a curry and mango sauce that made me fly. I ordered a hot dog, but it was decidedly oversized (25 cm and 700 g, all hot dogs are like that). The bun was super puffy (made by them) and the hot dog was slightly too much (it weighed 180 g, but my mistake for not reading carefully beforehand). Size aside, the taste was spectacular: it had sweet potato fries inside that paired perfectly with the strong bacon flavor. To describe the churros: can you imagine what heaven is? Fresh whipped cream with chopped twiks, caramel with a light touch of salt, and 25 cm of churros, sweet as they should be. Spectacular. Super fair price for the size and quality of the food. The staff was super helpful, a little slow (but it was crowded, so that's understandable), and always very kind. Everyone was better than the next, and everyone was very friendly and polite. I'm taking one star off because if I want normal portions, it's quite difficult to find something small, but if you like to eat a lot and well, this is the place.

21/08/2025: And so, after a first and overall positive experience dating back to last summer, a few days ago we returned to Gino's and were once again generally satisfied 👍. Arriving at 8:30 pm 🕣, a little earlier than our reservation time 📱 (i.e. 8:45 pm), we were cordially greeted by a waiter 🧑🏻 who accompanied us to our table, this time set inside at the back of the room (in June we had dined on the veranda). Having already booked 📞 the Florentine steak 🥩 to ensure availability (last time we were "forced" to settle for an excellent rib-eye steak), we basically just browsed the wine list 📋 🍷, paying some attention. From this point of view, in fact, our first experience here wasn't a very happy one 🙄, since we ordered, moreover on the waiter's advice 🧔🏻, a wine 🍷 that we didn't like at all 👎. The latter, a French Syrah 🇫🇷 for a whopping 40 euros 💶 a bottle, unfortunately gave off a very strong smell of brine, which the waiter 🧔🏻 had warned us about in advance (I emphasize this for the sake of fairness), which in the long run, however, proved unbearable. I say "in the long run" because, during tasting, the smell seemed to me tolerable overall compared to the otherwise decent flavor. This time, however, again on the staff's suggestion, we opted for a Dolcetto D'Alba which, while pleasant, didn't thrill us (especially considering the 30 euros 💶 cost of the bottle). What I've said so far certainly attests to my complete ineptitude as a taster 😅 but, perhaps, also to a certain general "bad luck" linked to the fact of not being able to find the right wine, let's put it that way. For the rest, the "Florentine" 🥩 (a 1.2 kg cut) was impeccable 👌, as was the rib-eye steak we ordered with it (for three people it seemed like a good solution). To complete the order, we also had two liters of water 💧, grilled porcini/chanterelle mushrooms, potatoes 🥔 garnished with a sauce and snow peas sprinkled with cheese 🧀). The mushrooms were truly delicious 😋 and delicate, perhaps the best I've ever tasted, but the green beans were certainly worthy of note too. To conclude, three desserts (cheesecake 🍰, figs with ricotta ice cream, and grilled pineapple 🍍) and two coffees ☕ at the end of the meal, which were also undoubtedly good. Good value considering we spent a total of 222 euros 💶 (so 74 each). The staff 🧑🏻🧔🏻 were kind and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, thanks in part to the perfectly chosen theme. The bathrooms 🚾 were clean and tidy 🚽🧻🧴. For us, it's a guarantee, so I RECOMMEND IT 👍. 08/09/2025: Sometimes you just have to know how to say no. You can't book three groups on the same day. I arrived at 8:20 PM, had to wait until 10 PM to order, and ate the pizza at 11 PM at a festival-level table. Perhaps it was the time or the wait, but I didn't like the pizza at all.

07/09/2025: A delightful discovery during one of our trips back from the beach: we stopped here for the first time about a couple of months ago, intrigued by the name of the place, and our expectations were not disappointed: as "pizza maniacs" as we are, we've never eaten such a spectacular pizza, so much so that this has become a regular stop whenever we return from Caorle. The dough is incredibly light and the ingredients are impeccable in quality, as well as original in their combinations. I usually accompany my dinner with an IPA beer—I forget the name—that I find excellent and thirst-quenching. The staff is friendly and welcoming to children (an important consideration for my husband and I), and the bill is in line with current prices. The wait for a table can be long, but that's not due to the service itself, which is attentive and friendly, but rather to the fact that it's always busy (at least it was every time we came here, including last night), and many are regular customers: this was my impression from observing the atmosphere. We loved the enthusiastic vibes from the management and staff, from reception to cashier, which isn't a given these days. Well done!
