20/10/2025: We celebrated a special birthday here in a place full of love for us. ​The welcome was excellent: the staff reserved a festive table for us, almost like a wedding, a gesture of great care. ​We chose a pre-arranged menu: very good, plentiful food, and impeccable service. ​The excellent service made the day unforgettable. Highly recommended!

21/01/2026: An old-fashioned osteria that perfectly retains the spirit of local traditions. The changing menu features daily specials, appetizers, and wonderful porchetta, along with excellent wines and beers. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Thank you, we'll be happy to return!

07/03/2026: We came with a Polish group, and all the girls were thrilled. Every dish was delicious... simple cuisine, but with attention to detail and tastefully presented. The atmosphere perfectly reflects the authentic charm of the village.

14/02/2026: Today was a total disappointment... The guinea fowl was old because it was frozen and to heat it up they added a sauce but they didn't manage to because it was cold inside (in fact they told us that the wait was at least 15 minutes). The same goes for the side dish of potatoes (old and cold)...

23/01/2026: The place definitely needs updating and more attention. There's no light in the bathroom. You have to ring the bell to get in. The owner welcomes you warmly and gives you a good introduction to the restaurant's cuisine. Service is quick, food is decent. I enjoyed some dishes more than others (obviously, it's a matter of taste). The tea at the end was good. Overall, it was good...but you have to adapt to the environment and not have too many expectations. Prices, in my opinion, are a bit steep considering what's actually on offer. Average spend is around 30 euros per person. As an alternative evening, it's fine...but it requires a spirit of adaptation.

19/01/2026: First and last experience at this place. Let's start with the atmosphere: the floor is dirty in some spots, and it smells almost like stale food as soon as you enter. The owner comes to explain the dishes and also advises you on how many "bowls" to order. We ordered five (there were four of us). What we received was surprising, as the bowls were truly meager and cost a whopping €14 for three pieces of meat or eggplant. The number of injera (their typical flatbread) was obviously excessive compared to the amount of food, so some of it was returned because we didn't know what to eat with it. The worst thing was the rudeness of the waitress, who came by every 10 minutes to ask if we were finished. On the fourth visit, even though I told her to give us time to finish, I handed her the plate with the food still in my mouth. Personally, a completely negative experience.

01/01/2026: Excellent company dinner! A choice of dishes and wines is available from the menu. Beautiful location and elegant interiors. Incredible, marinated raw fish, never ordinary! Excellent service, never intrusive and always responsive to every request, with detailed and personal descriptions of the dishes! A dinner worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant! For those in Valpolicella looking for a unique dinner, this is the place.

19/12/2025: Margherita Restaurant, located in the splendid Villa Franceschi, is more than just a place to eat; it's a true experience. From the moment we entered, the atmosphere enveloped us with a unique elegance, all complemented by lighting and furnishings that created a perfect ambiance. The dishes we tried, all seafood-based, were simply exceptional from the moment they were presented. Fantastic food in a historic Venetian villa setting that's always worth experiencing. In short, Villa Franceschi is a gem. From appetizers to dessert, everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail. If you're looking for a top-notch meal for a special occasion or simply to pamper yourself, this is the place. We'll definitely be back! 5 well-deserved stars.

02/02/2026: Friendly staff, fast service, and excellent pastries in a beautiful location, with attention to detail and customer service. They also have gluten-free options, but to be safe, it's best to call ahead.

17/01/2026: Super and "Abundant" pastry shop (I haven't tried the ice cream shop yet), friendly and professional staff, indoor seating in a pleasant atmosphere, excellent quality/price ratio (prices are not excessive, however)... it's a shame that there isn't an outdoor space with a garden or in any case that it doesn't face the road which is very busy.

16/03/2026: We had lunch at this fantastic restaurant. We ordered the mixed fried food as an appetizer. There were two of us, but the portion would have been great for four. Afterwards, we had a "diavola gialla" pizza and a pasta with clams. The pasta portion was always generous, and the flavor was incredible—it felt like we were in Naples! Needless to say, we filled our bellies with deliciousness. Service was quick, and the waiters/owners were super helpful and ready to satisfy every customer's need. Highly recommended for those who love REAL ITALIAN food and those with a stomach that never settles!

13/03/2026: Nice, spacious place with excellent meat and fish dishes. The pizza was pretty good. I tried the cold cuts platter, highly recommended. It had a ton of choices, including focaccia to go with it, for only 14 euros. I also had the fish appetizer, with a wide variety at a fair price. Really, really fast service! Thanks, we'll be back.

08/03/2026: NO CELIACS Family lunch today. The menu features "gluten-free" dishes. I ordered a gluten-free dish after fasting and exercising. Unfortunately, after 20 minutes, I developed severe stomach pain and, in the afternoon, a severe headache. Gluten contamination is certain. Unfortunately, contrary to what was indicated on the menu, the dishes served are not gluten-free. What a shame. NO CELIACS

23/02/2026: I've been here a few times and waited to write a review, being a good food connoisseur. I have to say that this small, simple place is ideal for a quick bite, offering excellent home cooking. The dishes are few, but all excellent. Today I had a mixed antipasto of cured meats, all excellent, tasty, and particularly good. Then for my first course, I had fusilloni with artichoke cream and crispy, thinly cooked speck—truly a dish for connoisseurs of good home cooking. I drank some good Bardolino wine by the glass. Then, with our coffees, I brought a selection of cookies with pistachio cream, as my guests also asked for seconds. What can I say? I think Mr. Nicola, the owner and chef, is a uniquely charming person with a Venetian dialect. The service was quick and especially attentive to our requests, courtesy of the very kind Elisa. The price was very fair. Congratulations!

18/11/2025: I had dinner with a friend at this restaurant, which has been open for over 20 years, and it was a special and flavorful evening. We started with a gorgeously colored and delicious tartare, followed by expertly prepared top-quality foie gras, gnocchi rigati with a hand-chopped ragù that was mouth-watering, and, last but not least, a legendary, delicious San Martino goose stew. All accompanied by a perfect bottle of Dolcetto D'Alba and, to finish, a grappa from the Capovilla stills. Congratulations and a round of applause to Nicola, chef and true soul of Dining, and to all his staff. I hope to return soon; unfortunately, Rome isn't that close...
