19/10/2025: Welcoming place, the owners are very polite and helpful, the food is good with traditional seasoning and very important is the cleanliness of the rooms good I highly recommend staying for those who are in the vicinity

10/09/2025: On Sunday, we had a wonderful group lunch at this welcoming yet elegant restaurant. They served us beautifully, the food was delicious, and they were very kind, even to those of us with small children at the same table. Returning is the least we can do!

05/11/2025: Worst sushi I've ever had. The rice was overcooked and rubbery, not much choice, and the atmosphere was cold. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND.

29/10/2025: Not much of a selection of sushi, and the quality wasn't the best. The staff was friendly, and the place was cozy. The seats were a bit narrow, so it's best to ask for a sofa.

20/09/2025: Superb, artisanal gelato with unique flavors, like Hemingway... amazing. Not to mention the frozen cream, I've never tasted such a unique delight. Overall, I recommend it for lunch, dinner, a snack, and whenever you feel like it.

31/10/2025: Very patient and kind gentleman. We went in to get the kid some ice cream, and there was a smell of gelato I hadn't smelled in a long time! It's no coincidence that it's always been called the best ice cream shop in the area... My parents used to come here when they were engaged and always spoke highly of this ice cream shop, which, it seems, has remained faithful to the goodness and craftsmanship of the past.

02/11/2025: Extremely uncomfortable, pushy tourist trap. Portions were small (veal with mushrooms). If you ask for two glassesog wine they will sell you a small bottle +6€ for nothing. Never ever again. The way this is gonna play out: 1. if you do not have a reservation, they will try everything to get you a table (which there are plenty of). you ll feel like they did you a giant favor. 2. they ll take your jackets. you are locked in. no easy and quick escape when it gets uncomfortable. 3. they ll get you multiple menus. drinks, wine, truffle specials, main dishes and use pushy and assuming language that you gonna order wine, water and what not. still or sparkling? it does not matter really, they ll get you a bottle anyway. the wine you order is always out of stock, but guess what. the more expensive version is available. you want two glasses? they ll get you a small bottle for 40% more. 4. ordering the food is really the least exciting part. just be ready for very small portions. the veal is less than what some joints list under the kids options. I could have finished that in 1 minute. 5. dessert or coffee? I think they had already given up on us at that point. we finally ordered the bill being told no tip was included. fortunately this played out without further begging and discussions as we did not tip. 6. get your jackets back and run. awful experience.

01/11/2025: The place was small, overly hot, and noisy. The floor was sticky and covered in food residue—who knows how long it hadn't been cleaned! The staff was rude or overly pushy, and they became too familiar with customers they'd never met before. As soon as we arrived, the waiter placed the menu directly on our plates, which was already a bad start. The best part came at the end: we paid and divided the amount by the number of diners. The waiter, Gianluca, made us pay without showing us what he'd set for the individual portions. In the end, we paid more than our table's bill. When we mentioned this to the waiter, he said... "Well, I rounded up. What a problem!"

20/10/2025: We celebrated a special birthday here in a place full of love for us. ​The welcome was excellent: the staff reserved a festive table for us, almost like a wedding, a gesture of great care. ​We chose a pre-arranged menu: very good, plentiful food, and impeccable service. ​The excellent service made the day unforgettable. Highly recommended!

10/09/2025: Please note! Negative reviews are outdated, as Moby Dick has been under new management since this year! The restaurant has been operating since then. We've been coming to Jesolo every year for 14 years and have witnessed the restaurant's development. Since a friendly family took over the shop, you'll experience first-class cuisine! You'll receive a very warm welcome and excellent service... highly recommended!

03/09/2025: At first we looked from out side then while we read the menu. We notice we only could see 4 tables in use.we decided to give it a try. My wife was showed a table straight away and we where given time to make our choose. After my wife spoke to the waitress we ordered a Pizza,Salad & a bottle of water, we did this to test the restaurant service. We where totally satisfied & we even ordered a second Salad because it was the best we have ever had for a long time,the Presentation of the Salad Looked appetising,Fresh and was Crunchy & the main importance tasted fantastic, from my wife and myself we give 5⭐️+ for food,service & atmosphere well done please do not change keep the way you are.5⭐️+,🥇👏👍, We will return to this restaurant, this I’m looking forward to another pleasant experience.😋👌.

09/08/2025: My previous review has a terrible spelling mistake!! Spell check wrote Admin instead of the wonderful Armin. The perfect host at Why and Not. We would go back in a heart beat for the food and also the staff.

26/07/2025: Locale carino a 10 minuti da Piazza San Marco. Gestito da persone del luogo cosa ormai rara per Venezia. Il cameriere è molto simpatico e professionale. Cicchetti con base di polenta buonissimi. Consiglio di provare il baccalà dorato. Prezzo nella media per il luogo e per quanto offerto.

11/10/2025: Very nice and welcoming place, I had ordered a mixed fried fish, there was almost nothing mixed and it was not fresh but frozen fish, it was rubbery.

03/11/2025: We go there often. They make pizzas that in my opinion are the best in the area (and beyond). If you happen to take one home and reheat it the next day... it's just as good as freshly baked. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. They also have pizza by the meter... fantastic. The traditional cuisine is also good. I recommend it. Excellent value for money.

15/08/2025: We ate here three evenings. The food was excellent, with generous portions, and the value for money was more than good. The decor was rustic, without any frills. We'd go back anytime.
